Dr. Borham is a Las Cruces dentist who is passionate about preventative dentistry, as well as cosmetic, implant, and restorative dentistry. Additionally, he is experienced in oral surgery and board-certified in sedation dentistry.
After graduating with honors from the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry, Dr. Borham worked in the Bay Area for 4 years, before moving to New Mexico to study public health at New Mexico State University. He also taught at the dental hygiene school at Dona Ana Community College.
Serving his patients is incredibly important to Dr. Borham. This is why he stays up-to-date with the latest technologies including porcelain veneers/Lumineers, onlays and crowns, implants and laser dentistry. His approach to the practice of dentistry is to preserve the natural dentition by using the minimally invasive techniques.
A graduate of the University of California, San Francisco, Dr. Oushy is a compassionate female dentist in Las Cruces who is dedicated to providing her patients with dental health care as opposed to disease care.
Along with her extensive knowledge of oral health and preventative care, Dr. Oushy also holds a Masters degree in public health from New Mexico State University. She has made it her personal mission to educate patients about preventative care and dental wellness, so they can make the best decisions for their health.
Dr. Oushys philosophy is that you cannot be truly healthy without good oral health! As a result, she focuses on a whole body approach to oral care that includes dental science, technology, and years of experience.
Teri has over 20 years of experience in the dental field. Her exceptional performance and dedication makes her a vital member of Mesilla Valley Family Dentistry. As an office manager, Teri oversees the business side of the practice. She also ensures that each patient fully understands their dental care procedures and options. Teri started her dental career as a dental assistant acquiring expertise in dentistrys sub fields such as dental radiology, periodontal surgery, as well as patient scheduling, and dental financial and treatment coordination. Teri has BLS Certification for healthcare providers. She has undergone training with the Center for Dental Medicine and the Life Line Screening, successfully completing the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation training.
Born and raised in Las Cruces, NM, Yvette brings eight years of experience to the Mesilla Valley Family Dentistry team. She is a 2010 graduate of the Dona Ana Community College dental hygiene program where she was also the recipient of the Golden Scaler Award. Yvette is certified in the administration of local anesthesia, dental laser therapy and Basic Life Support. She enjoys interacting with and building a strong rapport with her patients, as well as educating patients to help them achieve optimum health. On her spare time Yvette enjoys spending time with her family and miniature Schnauzer, participating in outdoor activities, sports, and time at the gym.
Gail Frost recently joined our team at Mesilla Valley Family Dentistry. She brings with her over 25 years of experience. She began her career as a Dental Assistant working in private practice and with the Public Health Service. She graduated from Dona Ana Community College in 2013 where she earned her licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist and certificate in the administration of local anesthesia and dental laser therapy. Gail takes pride in providing the best experience for every person by ensuring their comfort and peace of mind. She believes a healthy mouth is important for overall health and strives to educate her patients. In her spare time, she stays active by exploring the outdoors with her husband and teaching dance fitness classes.
Gus completed his dental assisting training at Doa Ana Community College in 2011. He is currently licensed by the New Mexico Board of Dental Healthcare in Las Cruces dental radiography. Gus is a member of the Association of Dental Implant Auxiliaries and is recognized as a certified implant auxiliary member. On top of that, he has fulfilled the dental assistant sedation and review course. Gus is committed to excellent patient care. He enjoys meeting new patients and the ones we have seen for years have become like family to him.Gus is married and has two children who he loves to play soccer with. He has been a resident of Anthony, NM for over 20 years.
Jessica has been with Mesilla Valley Family Dentistry for 6 years. She is certified by the dental assistants National Board in both radiology and infection control. Jessica is currently licensed by the New Mexico board of dental health care. She is also CPR certified.
Jessica was drawn to dentistry from an early age and really enjoys providing dental care for all patients. She continues to expand her dental knowledge and infuses the office with her happy attitude and friendly manner. Jessica was born and raised here in Las Cruces. She has been married for 13 years and has three beautiful daughters. Jessica strives to give her best every day to every patient.

I was on a road trip with my mom when a crown came off one of my molars. Messilla Valley Dentistry got me in on short notice. The staff was courteous and welcoming despite the fact that I was a transient patient. Dr Borham and assistant Jessica were calming and let me know my options. I was grateful they fit me into a busy schedule!

Had a tooth extraction today and everything went beautifully! The dentist just called to see how i was doing!! Called me in my home to see if i had any questions! Amazing dentist with a gentle, friendly and caring manner. Every person I've dealt with has been an absolute doll. Not to mention the whole building feels like someone's cozy house with coffee and breakfast type bars in the lobby. Amazing experience. you won't regret going here! Thank you so much!!!

All the staff was Very pleasant courteous & professional, I especially liked that Dr. Borham took an Interest to inquire about my Health Issues & treated me as a patient not a number. The Dental Hygenist Yvette did a wonderful job, took her time, gentle & took interest to know how to care for sensitive teeth & areas in the cleaning, Thank you to every body. 9-24-2019 Additional Post: Thank you Dr. Borham for removing all the metal from my Old Fills, I feel much better now that you Refilled Them & Thank you for adjusting my bite feels much, much better my Jaws don't hurt anymore. Let me preface by saying that I'm one of those people who USED to get severe anxiety about going to the dentist..but I KNOW how important mouth health is, so I began my search for a dentist. And btw..I wasn't experiencing any mouth pain, it was just time. When I called Dr. Borham's office, Lisa took my call. As I was about to chicken out, she somehow convinced me to schedule (good job Lisa!). My initial appointment was for x-rays and an exam. When I arrived, I met Lisa and she reassured me that everything was going to be fine. Gus assisted that day and he was so sweet and thoughtful about my anxiety (he even let me keep the x-ray 'blanket' on to soothe my nerves). Dr. Borham came in next and immediately made me feel comfortable as he explained my x-rays to me. That was easy. Whew! Then came the hard part, my actual 'real' appointment. The one with numbing, needles and drills! I was so nervous I canceled 3x's before making it in the door. Jessica took me back to the treatment room and we discussed what Dr. Borham was going to do. I let her know I had dental anxiety and asked her to let me know when the needle was coming because I didn't want to see it. She happily obliged and warned me with a shoulder tap. I asked if I could pop in my ear pods and she encouraged it. I turned on a podcast and began taking long, slow, deep breaths. I can't believe that I actually dozed off! I DOZED OFF AT THE DENTIST! I didn't feel a thing and suddenly, it was all over! And while I'm saying how wonderful the staff is, I can't forget Terri in the billing department. She's so great at what she does! She advised me about dental insurance, etc. and was helpful in assisting me when I rescheduled my appointments. MVFD is the BEST dental practice I have ever been to (honestly). I can't say enough kind things about them. And with this incredibly positive experience, I am over TOTALLY over my dental anxiety! Thank you MVFD!!!

My experience at Mesilla Valley Family Dentistry was excellent, not having seen a dentist for 25 years proved it's challenges for Dr Borham and his staff.
