Dr. Peter Mertz graduated from the University Of Minnesota School of Dentistry and moved to Longmont in 2000. He received several awards in dental school, including; Irwin Epstein Award for Endodontics, Best of the Best Award for Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry Award. Dr. Mertz has received advanced training using CEREC and Certified Laser Training for LARES POWERLASE. He has completed Advanced Implant training and Dr. Mertz was featured in 5280 Magazine in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2015 for Denvers top Dentist. He volunteers his time for The Sunshine Club and the Dental Lifeline Network of Colorado. Dr. Mertz lives in Longmont with his wife, Sarah, and their two daughters.
Dr. Matt Kovach earned his DMD degree from Case Western Reserve Universitys School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, OH. He continued his training at Ellis Hospital in upstate New York, where he practiced for the majority of the past decade. The hospitals General Practice Residency program included advanced training in all areas of dentistry. Dr. Kovach is currently a member of the Metro Denver Dental Society, the Colorado Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He enjoys making his patients feel comfortable while working together to improve and maintain oral health. When not in the office, Dr. Kovach enjoys creating art, playing guitar, volunteering at Maxfund Animal Shelter, and exploring the culture and wilderness of Colorado.

I just had my first experience at Mertz family, Matt, Ashley, and Serina (cerina) just helped me with X-rays and fillings. They have a gentle touch which is very appreciated! I was in an out in no time with them keeping good conversation and getting the job done in a timely manner.

I was referred to Dr. Pete Mertz after I learned of a failed implant and needing other implants and a bridge. I have never experienced a dentist with so much expertise, professionalism and great chair- side manner. His office has the cutting edge Solea Laser that enabled him to remove and repair a cavity with no Novocain and it could also cut and cauterize gum tissue simultaneously leaving very little scar tissue. My mouthguard that he prepared was so streamlined that I didn't even know I had it in my mouth. My experience with Dr. Pete was totally worth the flight from Wisconsin... And I will do it again.
