Dr. Erik is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, and an honors graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Following dental school he completed a General Practice Residency with the VA Health System in Pittsburgh. Dr. Erik has been in private practice for more than 25 years. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and has completed numerous post graduate courses that have enabled the practice to remain current with the latest techniques in dentistry. Hehas been named one ofPittsburgh's top dentists by Pittsburgh Magazine each of the last five years, including 2021. Dr. Erik lives in Peters Township with his wife and three children.
Dr. Jeff is a graduate of the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Dental Medicine and has been in practice for over 35 years. Following graduation he served as a Captain in the US Army Dental Corps, both over seas and in the states. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association and Washington Greene Dental Association, of which he is a past President. He is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Jeff lives in Peters Township with his wife. He especially enjoys hanging out with his grandkids in his spare time.
Dr. Sarah Grech is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Pittsburgh, and is a local graduate of Peters Township High School. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Pennsylvania Dental Association. Dr. Sarah is committed to life-long learning and staying current with the latest trends in dentistry. She is a certified Invisalign provider. She is passionate about making patients feel as comfortable and confident as possible with their dental treatment. She strongly believes in patient education and strives to provide thorough treatment recommendations in order to allow patients to optimize their oral health.

From the time and entered I was greeted by Jill. Helped thru the sign-up process and only waited a few minutes for my cleaning and visit. All went well...will be back...thank you all!

Had a cleaning and checkup with a hygienist yesterday and couldn't be more pleased. The service, thoroughness and, quality of work was impeccable. Corinne had the experience and personality that made the experience even more enjoyable. Keep up the good work!

Mertens is always professional and kind. They care about their patients and do a great job of informing you of what needs to be taken care of and the steps that will happen. I do miss the warm, welcoming feeling of the old decor. They've redone everything in sterile, cold white so it feels less welcoming, but I hope it's only a step towards a new inviting look.

Dr. Sarah Grech and assistant Courteney did a fine job in a crown procedure which was made difficult because of the location of a cavity in the tooth being crowned. Very professional and concise explanation to me about this procedure.

Another 5-Star appointment at Mertens Dental where all staff - receptionists, dental techs and dentists, are welcoming and caring. Best dental practice in all my 75+ years experience!
