A native of Seattle, Dr. Jean Merry has lived in Washington, California, Iowa and Colorado. She received a Bachelors degree in Chemistry from Iowa State University. She then attended the School of Dentistry at the University of Minnesota, followed by advanced training in Public Health. As a student, she received awards in Oral Medicine, Student Leadership and Public Service. After graduating, she taught oral diagnosis and emergency dentistry for eight years at the University of Minnesota. For the next seven years, she also taught anesthesia and pain management at Normandale Community College. Her areas of research were in antibiotic premedication and the oral manifestations of HIV/AIDS. In addition, she has consulted for numerous insurance companies in fraud prevention.

Dr. Merry is constantly learning and studying the art of dentistry. She has attended numerous courses in cosmetic dentistry and implant restoration. She is certified to provide Lumineers, as well as other veneer options, Invisalign and Clear Correct orthodontics. Additionally, she has been trained on the E4D for CAD/CAM dentistry. She is a member of the Academy for Sports Dentistry and has taken courses related to preventing and treating sports injuries. She served as team dentist for The Minnesota Vikings and is a member of the United States Olympic Committee Dental Volunteer Program. Dr. Merry was also instrumental in coordinating TeamSmile events with the Minnesota Twins, the Minnesota Vikings and Super Bowl 52, providing dental care to kids in need.

Dr. Merry is passionate in her love for children. She has 4 adult children, 7 granddaughters, 2 grandsons and has hosted 23 foster children. Along with spending time with her family and friends, Dr. Merry is active in her church and enjoys most outdoor activities. Patients enjoy hearing stories about her many adventures. Dr. Rachel Mondry is originally from the east coast, but has spent most of her life in the midwest including Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota. She earned her undergraduate degree in biochemistry with minors in mathematics and chemistry at the University of Nebraska. She went on to dental school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Upon graduation, Dr. Mondry practiced dentistry in rural Iowa for several years before moving to the Twin Cities in 2013. She has practiced in Burnsville and West St. Paul but is excited to care for patients near her home in Edina.

Dr. Mondry believes in creating an atmosphere that is comfortable and welcoming for each and every patient. Her philosophy of listening to her patients oral health goals, discussing treatment options, and addressing concerns allows her patients to make informed, confident decisions about their dental care.

In her free time, Dr. Mondry is an avid runner and has completed marathons and relay races across the country. She also enjoys biking around the metro and traveling to destinations for scenic hiking with her husband Jack. While she enjoys being active, she also loves to relax at home with her little Havanese dog Bling.

Dr. Katy Kramer spent most of her childhood in Nebraska, graduating from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a degree in Biology. Following the footsteps of many family members, she attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. Dr. Kramer moved to Minnesota upon graduating and practiced in a rural community before settling into the west metro area.

Committed to life-long learning and providing her patients with exceptional care, Dr. Kramer seeks additional training and continued education on a frequent basis. In recent years, she has spent time pursuing opportunities related to CEREC technology, Botox, and lasers. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Minneapolis Dental Association, as well as a Spear Study Club. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kramer enjoys spending time outdoors with her golden retriever, Crew. She loves spending time with friends and family and is also active in the Junior League of Minneapolis.

Marissa has been officially employed at Merry Dental Care Center since August of 2006, although as Dr. Merrys eldest daughter she has been helping around the office for as long as she can remember. After spending a summer as a chairside assistant, she decided she wasnt fond of the clinical aspect of dentistry but excelled on the business side. She received her degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and came to work in the family business. AsOffice Manager, much of what Marissa does is behind the scenes. She is the go-to person for questions related to technology, insurance, accounts, and financing. Marissa is married to her college sweetheart, Mark, and is mom to three spirited girls; Mia, Lily and Sadie. In her free time, Marissa loves gathering people together, trying new recipes and helping the world look good through her personal styling business.Marissa is our WIZARD!

Kelsey was born in the Twin Cities and has lived in Bloomington almost her whole life. She attended Hennepin Technical College and received her Certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 2012. After working for many years with seniors, Kelsey joined the Merry Dental Team as Patient Coordinator in the summer of 2019. She enjoys providing a friendly smile and kindhearted customer service to everyone she encounters. Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, son, and their 2 cats and 2 dogs. She loves being outdoors, taking trips to the family cabins in the summer, and ice fishing in the winter. Although winter is her least favorite season, she still tries to embrace it being the true Minnesotan that she is.Kelsey is our GUIDING LIGHT!

Erica is a Registered Dental Hygienist who grew up in a small town in Northwest Iowa.She graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2004 with a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene.She enjoys caring for patients and educating them on the importance of taking care of their mouth and teeth.Outside of work, Erica enjoys spending time with her husband, son and daughter.They love to travel and are always looking forward to planning their next trip.Ericas other hobbies include reading, cooking, baking, and camping but her greatest passion is her love for the Vikings.She is their biggest fan and loves cheering for the guys in purple each week!Erica is our SUPER FAN!

Emily is a Registered Dental Hygienist who was raised in Woodbury, MN. She earned a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Minnesota. After working for a few years, Emily went back to school to study dental hygiene. She joined the Merry Dental team just before graduating from Normandale Community College with her Associates degree in Dental Hygiene. Emily thoroughly enjoys creating relationships with her patients and encouraging them on their dental journey to good oral health. She enjoys spending her time with her husband, young son and 2 cats at their new home, going up to the cabin, traveling, and enjoying life!Emily is our GENTLE SPIRIT!

Kelly is a Registered Dental Hygienist who was raised in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. In 2019 she graduated from the University of Minnesota, with a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene. She joined the Merry Dental Team right as COVID hit, and got to meet the team via Zoom. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages, along with educating them on oral health, and creating meaningful, long lasting relationships. She plays many roles in the office, as you may also see her as a dental assistant. In her free time she enjoys spending the summers at her familys lake house either on the boat relaxing or water skiing. During other seasons you can find her traveling, working out, or enjoying some good Minnesota sports!

Carlyis a Registered Dental Hygienist who grew up in Faribault, MN.Carlyhad previous experience as a dental assistant prior to graduating with her hygiene degree. She graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities with a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene with Restorative Expanded Functions.Carlyenjoys building relationships with patients and seeing improvements over visits with patients oral health.Carlyspends her free time traveling, spending quality time with friends and family, playing volleyball, and watching Minnesota sports.

Kathy is our newest team member as the Assistant Patient Coordinator. She joins us after 18 years of teaching Preschool. She is excited to be supporting Kelsey at the front desk and looks forward to meeting you. You will see her smiling face and hear her welcoming voice when you call. She lives in Edina with her husband John. Their oldest daughter Aimee is married to Seth and they live in Chicago. Their youngest Hannah lives in the Twin Cities. In her free time Kathy enjoys reading, taking walks with friends, and travel.
