Dr. Snipes volunteers with The Dental Lifeline Network to help those in need gain a confident and functioning smile. She loves teaching, learning, and sharing her passion for dentistry with her patients, co-workers, and friends!
Dr. Snipes and her husband David live in West Ashley with their daughters Kate and Olivia; and their dogs Sugar and Coco! The Snipes especially enjoy cooking and being outdoors with family and friends.
Dr. Snipes pursued a path in dentistry because it combines science and art. She particularly enjoys restorative dentistry to make smiles functional and beautiful to help her patients become healthier and more confident! Having a family history of oral cancer also gave her the desire to help others through dentistry.

Everyone is so welcoming! Dr. Snipes is by far the best dentist I've ever seen. She is definitely worth the 1.5 hour drive. Can't recommend enough!

The entire staff at Dr. Merritt's office are always pleasant to speak with and they make you feel right at home. Dr. Snipes is very informative and knowledgeable about current trends and procedures in the dental field and explains them in an easy to understand way.

Had a great experience at Merritt Family Dentistry. Wonderful people and had a very thorough teeth cleaning with specific notes about my teeth on record. Had my first wrap-around X-ray and oral cancer screening. Would highly recommend!

I just visited Merritt Family Dentistry for a cleaning and checkup. From the first call to set up my appt to my visit, everything was seamless, the staff was friendly and welcoming and most importantly, the hygienist was one of the best I've ever seen. Very thorough cleaning and the dentist spent a proper amount of time with the checkup and answering any questions I had. My wife and kids will be visiting them next. I highly recommend!

Highly highly recommend! As a new patient I called at 8am and was scheduled for a 2pm appointment that same day! Everyone was so pleasant, helpful, and genuinely wanted to help fix my pain. Dr. Snipes was very knowledgeable, took the extra time to explain everything to me, and answered all my questions. I am so extremely satisfied with this place and cannot wait to go back for my next appointment. It is so difficult to find not only good service but also good people and this place has both!

We're well taken care of by Merritt Family Dentistry. The courteous and caring staff and dentists work to accommodate our family's busy schedules - there's 6 of us - so we see them more than often than many.

I had to have a crown replaced and Dolores was so helpful to get me scheduled quickly and ensure my insurance coverage. The dentist was very friendly, efficient and caring as was her assistant. Overall experience was excellent.

I generally dread going to dentists and hygienists, but Merritt Family Dentistry has eased my anxieties. They know me and my dental eccentricities; they remember not to drop my head too low; they keep track of the tooth polishing flavor that's OK for me. Most important -- great DDS and Hygienist.
