Dr. Schneiss joined the practice in 2019 and has focused on clinical excellence. His extensive training and experience makes him the local expert on cosmetic procedures like veneers, crowns, or cosmetic bonding.

Dr. Kamp graduated fromPurdue Universitywith a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and a Masters Degree in Biology. He then completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine atMidwestern University in Downers Grove, IL. After completing his studies in 2016, he joined and ultimately became the owner of Merrillville Dental Center.

While working on his doctorate, Dr. Kamp used his background in engineering to perform research in several labs on cutting edge dental materials to advance the field of dentistry. He has worked with new biomaterials to enable faster bone healing, 3D printing of stents for guided implant surgery, and actively continues to educate himself about the latest and most effective treatment methods in dentistry.

He is currently a member of theAmerican Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association,Indiana State Dental Society, and the Northwest Indiana Dental Association. Dr. Kamp is a certified Invisalign provider and has extensive training in implant and restorative dentistry. Hes currently pursing both an implant and a general dentistry fellowship and is passionate about treating complex cases where he can utilize his multidisciplinary training.

Born and raised in Lansing, IL, and St. John, IN, Dr. Kamp and his amazing wife Carrie currently live in Merrillville, IN with their 3 children, dog, and two cats. Together they enjoy cooking, traveling and scuba diving as well an

Dr.Schneiss is dedicated to staying up to date on the latest technologies to provide his patients with the best possible information and care. He was born and raised near Milwaukee, WI and moved to NWI a few years after he completed dental school and an advanced surgical residency at the VA hospital. Dr. Schneiss is known to love spending time with his family and friends while having fun outdoors. Hes on a quest to visit all the national parks and also is a Cheesehead and passionate Green Bay Packers fan. He is a member of several professional dental organizations and respects each patients individual values and preferences. Hes completed multiple advanced training programs in cosmetics and implant dentistry and is currently pursuing a fellowship in implant dentistry.

Dr. Karateew is currently the director of UIC Periodontology and MDC is very privileged to have him as our part-time in-house periodontist. He currently holds Certificates in Periodontics and Prosthodontics and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Surgery. He currently resides in Chicago and loves skiing, fly fishing, and gourmet cooking.

Dr. Sertich founded and led the Merrillville Dental Center for almost 40 years before his retirement in 2020. He still stops in to chat, tell jokes, and bring smiles to the thousands of patients hes served over the past 4 decades. He currently spends his time with his wife and grandchildren

Jen is one of our awesome,competent and knowledgeable hygienists. She graduated fromPrairie State Collegein 2005, with a degree in Dental Hygiene and a certification in in local anesthesia. She has worked withDr. Sertich for 5 years. Patients appreciate her chairside manner, which helps putthem at ease. She is very thorough, yet gentle. Shehas 2 daughters, ages 8 and 9. I pride myselfin staying on top of the latest technology and continuing educationto provide my patients with the superior care they deserve.

Mandy is one of our favoritehygienists at Merrillville Dental Center. She graduated fromIndiana University Northwestin 2000 and has been with our team since 2004. Mandy is friendly, gentle and loves educating her patients on their oral health.Shes also an incredible team player and is proud to help do her part. If I can be a part of restoring someones oral health and make them smile, then Ive done my job.: Mandy has been married to Joe since 2004. She loves going to Michigan and spending time with her husband and two children.

Emily graduated from Ivy Tech S.B. in 2014 and has been with the MDC since 2016. In addition to being a hygienist, shes also trained as a dental assistant and loves helping in every area of the office. You can find her on the weekends drawing or painting or tending to her succulents.

Tiffany graduated fromIndiana University Northwestin 2015 with a bachelors degree in dental hygiene and a minor in biology. Tiffany currently holds a license to administer local anesthesia and practice dental hygiene in both Indiana and Illinois. She was also the recipient of the 2015 Crest/Oral-B award for Outstanding clinical treatment. With over 16 years in customer service, she has a wonderfully friendly demeanor and loves working with people, specializing in children. I feel it is of the utmost importance to create a fun and educational experience for kids when visiting the dental office. I believe that in doing so it will help to alleviate a chance for future dental anxiety and foster a lifetime of good oral health. Her and her husband Jake have three beautiful children and in her spare time she enjoys cooking, painting, and crafting.

Paiges smile is contagious and has won the hearts of countless patients since she joined the team in 2020. She is recently engaged, loves traveling, seafood, and spending time with her friends and family.
