Dr. Davaninejad grew up in Germantown MD and attended University of Maryland College Park for her undergraduate studies in Biology. She continued her educational career and received two Masters from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Biotechnology and Regulatory Affairs. Dr. Davaninejads passion and drive to serve the community lead her to pursue a career in dentistry and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of Maryland School of Dentistry, graduating with numerous Honors and Academic Awards. Dr. Davaninejad believes education never stops and routinely takes extensive Continuing Educational courses.
Dr. Raoufinia grew up in Northern VA where he attended George Mason University for his undergraduate studies in Biology. Dr. Raoufinia continued his educational career at Virginia Commonwealth University studying Physiology before pursuing a career in dentistry. Dr. Raoufinias passion for helping others and love of community service led him to pursue a career in dentistry at Howard University College of Dentistry. Dr. Raoufinia has dedicated himself to a lifetime of learning and actively pursues Continuing Educational courses throughout the year.
Dr. Raoufina is a firm believer of spending time with his patients and addressing their chief concerns with the simple goal of giving every patient a beautiful healthy smile. As Dr. Raoufinia often says an informed patient is a healthy patient and by talking through all treatment options with his patients, he is able to address their needs and concerns.

Outstanding experience from the time I called the front office as a completely new patient in a panic to the time when I arrived at the office to the time that the staff to the time to be kind to me as they were collecting the necessary details to the time the Doctor completed her examination to the follow up visit. Every single piece of my visit was colored with the sense that I was in good hands with medical professionals who cared! Highly recommend!

Excellent visit! Dr Davani was very thorough and with a gentle touch! Calle was very professional and explained everything as she went. And Mas was delightful with a wonderful taste in music! I'd recommend this office to all my friends!

I had such a good experience at MDA! They were all so friendly from start to finish and I actually enjoyed my visit to the dentist (which I have never said before ever). I really appreciated their positive attitudes and helpfulness in explaining any questions that I had during my visit. Thank you!

*This office pays to have bad reviews removed. I've left this review before and it disappears. The 5 stars they display is not genuine. I've spent thousand out of pocket at this dentist for them to treat me less than human, my review will be heard* The type of dentist that gives you dental anxiety, certainly doesn't make you feel comfortable or cared about. Really impersonal and rude. Had to cancel an appointment because of a severe infection, the receptionist decided to tell me how much the office "hates" me, how much "I'm wasting everyone's time" etc. Instead of leading with compassion, these people chose to specifically make me feel bad. Apparently the office would rather me come in with an infection and possibly spread it then to just reschedule. Not to mention the numerous uncomfortable conversations held within the waiting room about the receptionist's brazilian butt lifts etc. Inappropriate office, rude staff, super uncaring. It's even more obvious when I go to someone who specializes in people who have dental anxiety etc. The difference is night and day. Avoid these people at all costs. There's so many other offices out there to chose from.

My first experience with Merrifield Dental Associates was absolutely amazing! They were very welcoming and friendly! The dental associates and dentist were super gentle, they explain everything very thoroughly in greater detail. Overall I left with a smile on my face from the experience, definitely will be going back.

This practice helped me tremendously when I had a cracked tooth and my regular dentist could not fit me in. They saw me the next day, were courteous and professional. They worked together to quickly fix my tooth and were completely reassuring throughout the process. Very impressed!

This location is a such a quick drive if you live near Arlington Blvd. When my husband and I came in I could already sense the vibe was super friendly. Every patient that came in before was fretted by the receptionist before and after their appointment. Everyone left happy as did we! Their office music playlist was good too. The whole experience was great! Everyone that works there was super sweet and nice. I'm pretty certain that we've found our new Dentist!

I had a really good experience at the office . It was so cute. I felt like I was at a spa. The staff was very welcoming and friendly . The girl working at the front desk was very professional and nice . The assistant who called me back was very nice and made sure I was comfortable while taking X rays of my teeth . The doctor was so nice and answered any questions that I had . She also explained everything that she did during the visit . I highly recommend this office . Everyone was so sweet .

Best experience I have every had at a dental office! The office itself is pleasing to the eye. All of the staff I encountered were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Davaninejad did the cleaning herself and took the time after to discuss my care plan. I have already recommended her to a friend. Highly recommend!

I called Merrifield Dental Associates after business hours on a Wednesday evening asking for an emergency appointment for my fiance. Neither he nor I have ever been a patient there before. I got a return call before they even opened the next day and my fiance was seen that very morning. He was treated with excellent care by Dr. Davani, who explained everything clearly and set up a follow-up plan for my fiance. The receptionist, named Mas, was also cordial yet entirely professional. It's been a while since I've been as impressed with a medical practice as I am with Merrifield Dental Associates. My fiance feels the same way. I highly recommended this practice to anyone who is looking for excellent professional dental care!
