Dr Daniel Merker was born and raised in Zanesville, Ohio. He attended West Muskingum High School, graduating in 1981. He chose Miami University for his undergraduate training, and in 1985, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in zoology, graduating Cum Laude. His goal to attend dental school was realized, and in 1988 he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, again graduating Cum Laude. He was invited to the faculty there, and commuted to Columbus part-time to teach in the restorative dentistry department. His remaining time was spent working in his father's private practice in Zanesville. In 1989, realizing that private practice was his passion, he decided to discontinue the commute to Columbus and work solely in private practice. His father has since passed away, but Dan greatly enjoys carrying on the legacy he has left behind, side by side with his sister Dr. Holly McAllister.

Dr. Dan has made an effort to remain actively involved in professional as well as community and faith-based organizations. He is a two-time past president of the Muskingum Valley Dental Society, distinguished past president of the Zanesville Kiwanis, and currently enjoys the privilege of being an elder at the Muskingum Valley Vineyard Church. He is a member in good standing with the Ohio Dental Association, as well as the American Dental Association. Dr. Dan feels honored to have been recognized by his peers and enjoys fellowship in numerous dental honorary societies such as: Omicron Kappa Upsilon, The American College of Dentists, and The Pierre Fauchard Academy. He is also Invisalign certified.

Outside of work, Dr. Dan has several passions. First and foremost is his family. Dan has a wife of 25 years Leslie, and two children Brian, and Mae. Secondly is his faith and service to Jesus Christ. Dan has had numerous opportunities to combine his work with his faith, traveling with a team of people to areas of need outside of the country to share the love of Christ and provide dental care. Beyond that, he enjoys sports of any kind, and hobbies involving his hands (woodworking, stained glass, welding, auto body work, etc.)

Dr. Brian Daniel Merker was born in Zanesville, Ohio in 1989. He graduated from Tri-Valley High School in Dresden, Ohio in 2008. He did his undergraduate training at The Ohio State University.Upon completeing his requirements a year early, hethen entered The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2015. He is proud to be the fourth generation dentist in our Zanesvillepractice.

Dr. Brian was married in May of 2015 to his beautiful wife Brianna. He has two boys Luke and Levi. He and his wife are both avid outdoorsman. Brianenjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, woodworking and nature. The thing that brings him the most joy is his faith in Jesus Christ, to whom he owes everything.

' I 'm a wife of one, mother of two, and grandmother of four. I love to read (mysteries mostly), go to the movies,a nd play words with friends. I have a special cat named Bubba. My family, friends, and job are very important to me.'

'I graduated from Bishop Rosecrans High School in 1980, and MATC / Zane State in 1982 with an associates degree in Computer Science. I have been married to Steve Moyer since 1983. Together, we have 3 children: Scott, Beau, and Olivia. I have worked at Merker McAllister L.L.C. Dental Office since 1997. A fun fact about me is that I am a huge sissy about having dental work done. This office is responsible for helping me conquer that fear.'

' I have been married for 33 years to Jay Agin. We have two grown sons: Adam (+ wife Shannon) and Josh (+fiancee Hanna Luburgh). We love animals, especially our pets. Dance is my passion especially with my dance group -' The Dancing Diva 's.' I also teach tap through our Diva outreach program at the Muskingum County Center for Seniors. This group, known as The Platinum Performers, is very special to me. I also instruct Zumba classes at the senior center weekly.My family are members of St. Nicholas Church and we support all Rosecrans High School activities

' I love my job!' I was a patient here before my employment. I 've been married to Don, my rock, since 1980. We have 4 children, Andrea, Lindsey, Shannon & Eric and 4 grandchildren. There is a lot of laughter in our family. We are so thankful for life 's blessings.'

'Over the course of the past years practicing Dental Hygiene at Merker McAllister L.L.C. Dental Office, I have been able to establish lasting relationships with manyof my patients and their families. Serving my patients is not only my career, but also my passion and motivation. When I am not at the office I enjoy serving my family as a wife and mother of two. We live on our family farm near Frazeysburg, Ohio, where we are deeply rooted in the community. Leading a 4-H club of over 40 developing young adults is one of the ways that my husband and I serve our hometown. Providing encouraging ministry at our local church also brings me great joy. Leading a life group and a personal finance ministry are just two ways that God is allowing me to connect with others. I look forward to serving you by maintaining and improving your overall oral health.'

' I am privileged to be able to work in a dental practice with my family, and with a close-knit staff that feels like family. We love our patients and I look forward to coming to work. My grandmother and mother both worked with Dr. Don Merker, so along with our daughter, we have had four generations of dental assistants here. My 'days off' are spent practicing thedomestic arts .... cooking, sewing, crocheting, or reading, but I really love reading my Bible and teaching the depths of truth and love found in God 's word. I love anything outdoors and can never pass up a walk or a hike. My relationship with Jesus Christ is what is most important in my life, but my family and friends are a close second.
