Summer is the time for outdoor sports and you can protect your teeth, cheeks, gums and lips with a low-cost mouth guard. It could save you from a knocked out or chipped tooth, and it will prevent you from grinding your teeth during the big game.

No really, just dont. Weve all seen someone open a bottle with their teeth. An amazing feat? Nope, but a great way to cause micro fractures in your teeth. Using your teeth to rip open potato chip bags or to crush ice are also no nos.

The short answer is no. You most likely cannot sunburn your teeth. Shwew! Your lips on the other hand can sunburn. In fact, your lips might be the most susceptible to sunburn. Its important not to rely on regular sunscreen to protect your lips, choose a lip balm with a minimum of SPF 15. It is designed for your lips, and it will stick better. And just like with sunscreen, remember to reapply it every couple hours.

There are lots of reasons to smile all summer long. Evidence suggests that smiling reduces stress and helps your heart. So show those teeth! Brush twice a day, floss daily and smile big. You'll feel better when you do.

(Translated by Google) I have dental insurance. After completing the basic dental cleaning for half a year, they charged more than 200 insurance premiums. The insurance company asked me to pay $91, but I paid a month later and received a bill of $74. I can't believe that there is such an expensive dental cleaning. , (Original) Wo You Ya Bao Xian ,Wan Cheng Ban Nian Ji Ben Xi Ya Hou ,Ta Men Shou Er Bai Duo Bao Xian Fei ,Bao Xian Gong Si Yao Wo Fu Ze Fu $91,Dan Wo Fu Liao Yi Ge Yue Hou ,Zai Shou Dao $74Zhang Dan ,Bu Gan Xiang Xin You Zhe Yang Ang Gui Xi Ya ,

I love the staff here! They are all friendly and helpful. In regards to COVID, Merit Dental is charging a $12 PPE fee for the staff to wear PPE for your visit. Doesn't seem like the patient should be paying for that. In addition, the office staff told me that it is up to the dentists discretion as to who they will charge the $12 to. I need to get in as my wisdom teeth are coming in, but they will not see me (I work in healthcare and am around people who have tested positive for coronavirus). I had an appointment scheduled but they cancelled since I have been in contact with a covid patient. So what's the PPE for then? I have no symptoms and if they have the PPE there shouldn't be an issue. Sounds to me like just a way they can get more money from the patient/insurance. I can understand them not seeing me if they do not have PPE, but they are turning me away when they have the required items to keep them safe. I've never heard of a medical office/business turn away a patient due to a potential illness. Very upsetting to see from this company. They have always treated everyone with respect and compassion, but I do not feel that anymore.

The Dental Staff here are great and know what they're doing. Christine is a fantastic dentist and I cannot stress that enough However, as the comments before me have noted, the administrative staff and Merit Dental are just.. the worst. They will nickel and dime you for absolutely everything, they will tell you that you owe one thing- and then charge another. After receiving a retainer repair I was quoted at ~$120, which I paid on site. I then, for the next 6 months received a bill stating I owed the exact same amount I already paid. Throughout these 6 months I called Merit Dental on five separate occasions and was told each time "Sorry for the confusion on our end- we will give you a call back when this is cleared up" (to which I never received a call back). Finally, on my 6th call, I was told I would have to pay the amount or it would be sent to collections. And that was that, I was defeated. Good dental staff, terrible organization- 2/5
