Went in for another cleaning. Lady on the phone looks at me when I enter and doesn't greet me. I could understand if there were other people around, but no one else was waiting. After standing there awkwardly for a while, she says," Hi, do you still have the same insurance?" How about, "Hi, how are you doing? I had switched insurance companies and was going to update it at the visit. Another time it was as if they didn't want me to leave the room. The staff member said, "Let me make sure that they're ready for you at the front desk." How about you let me out of the room so I can sit down and wait until they're ready. They then proceed to get me to make a payment, despite the service needing to be completed at another visit. I told them I would pay when the work was finished. The staff member then said, "Would you be able to pay half today?" It's not about whether or not I could pay half. That wasn't a problem at all. It's the fact they're always in such a rush to get info and collect payment. Staff members need to learn to treat patients like they're people and not just a number. They just lost my wife and I as patients. Hopefully one day they'll have staff who treat people better.

First time going to this place like a week ago. I was really nervous but they made me feel really well. All the staff is really nice. I will come back!

My daughter has a severe phobia of needles so we needed to go somewhere that does oral sedation. We had 2 appointments with them and both were rescheduled on us. The first appointment we didn't even get to meet with Dr. DeLouch, we saw someone else. We explained in great detail the kind of fear she has and how hard it is for her to get shots. They assured us that everything would be ok. After we showed up they put her on laughing gas for a few minutes then Dr. DeLouch walked in and wanted to give her the shots right away. She was not prepared at all and started to panic and she said she wasn't ready. The doctor said she was not calm enough, stood up and walked out. We never saw him again. After she calmed down a little we asked if she could try again and they told us no. I could not believe that they were not willing to work with her at all, especially after we had already explained what to expect. It was very frustrating to be treated like that. If you are looking to go somewhere that will be patient and help you with your fears, don't waste your time. This is not the place to go.

I'm giving 3 stars because we love the staff who work there and loved the past dentist who practiced here. We absolutely loved Merit when we first started going there a few years ago. Pricing was fair, staff was great and it was an amazing environment. But over the past few appointments, we've been so disappointed. They have canceled on us numerous times. They canceled at least three of my appointments because the dentist was "sick"or other reasons. They most recently canceled a 6 hour dental procedure for my husband, which we both had to take work off for and had already paid for. So not only did we both loose wages for the day but he wasn't able to get any dental work done. They told us of the cancellation 30 minutes before we were suppose to be in and my husband was required to take medication prior. These past experiences have been so unprofessional that we've had to find a new dentist.

They were always very nice, professional, and I did like the work they did, but with all of the mistakes they have made from scheduling issues, to billing mistakes, to not having their office properly stocked, I just can't trust them anymore. I showed up for all of my appointments on time and 3 times in a row I missed their call to reschedule while I was driving to their office. Only when I parked and got ready to go inside did I noticed that I had missed their calls. I had a temporary tooth in for a month as a result. I took time off work for each appointment. Explaining this happened 3 times in a row was an awkward conversation to have with my employer. I doubt they believed me. I figured this was just bad luck, but then they recently messed up on billing. They forgot to record the payment I made in office as part of a 3 payment agreement. The other two payments were scheduled to come out automatically. They sent me a bill later on for an extra payment. Luckily I looked into it further and found the charges on my bank statement, otherwise I would have been on the hook for an extra $170 dollars! One mistake is acceptable and I understand human error happens, but when mistakes happen this often, I am able to recognize that it will likely continue to happen. I will not be returning.

Merit Dental provides excellent service. They are also upfront and transparent about procedures and costs. My wife and I are so happy we found an office with such a professional Dentist and staff. We would highly recommend them to all our family and friends.

This dental office is so spectacular to go to, I feel like my business is appreciated. The pricing to me feels fair and honest, the professionalism and care that has gone into my dental work definitely has not gone unnoticed. I recommend my family to come here because of how impressed I have been. I love the people and consistent service and will always come here for my work!

Brought my husband in to the dentist for the first time in over 15 years. He had to get a wisdom tooth removed and a tooth that broke and was decayed. They did an amazing job. Constantly checked in with him to make sure he was doing okay made sure that he wasnt in pain. I decided to switch dentists myself. I would very highly recommend him.

Dr. Christensen and nurse Rachia were wonderful! Amber the receptionist was also informative enough to make sure my insurance would cover certain procedures. Even came up with a payment plan for me. They are honest and kind. Got an extraction today dr C and the nurse were patient and professional with me. If I was in pain at certain points of my toothe we stopped and numbed me a bit more and waited til I was able to proceed with the extraction. It was also my first visit and my experience with them has been wonderful and comfortable. Happy holidays to you and to me because I am now able to eat comfortably. Thank you Merit Dental Office in Orem!!!! Come here!

I went in for a chipped tooth. They had me in & out within an hour. The most friendly staff and beautiful looking dentistry, i highly recommend coming! Oh, and a wonderful gift bag ! Thank you all.

I don't write reviews very often; service has to be spectacular to motivate me to do so, and the service here was just that. When I arrived, immediately the receptionists helped me and were extremely kind and cheerful. Starting my appointment the dental assistant was incredibly considerate and cheerful! The dental hygienist did an incredible job cleaning my teeth and offering advice. She was incredibly sweet and made a situation that's usually quite unpleasant extremely relaxing. Then the doctor came in; he was very professional but at the same time also very concerned with making me feel comfortable and understanding of the plan/process for a few cavities that I had. I truly can't say enough good things about this business. I've worked in sales and customer service for quite a few years and I've seen few businesses that rival the quality of care I received here. 10/10 would recommend

Absolutely everybody from the staff made me feel so welcomed and comfortable! Everything was so nice, fast, clean, the nurses are so efficient and so easy to work with and talk to!! Such a nice first visit

I normally don't say much about doctors because the way they are but this dentist what happen when we the best experience I've ever had with a dentist it was kind he was nice that he listen to my concerns what I needed what I wanted I also was so happy I got a gift from them they gave me a bag it was a welcome and thank you for coming GIF it was a cute little snuggly blanket to keep me warm with their name on it but it was so furry and So Soft I really loved it no Dennis or any doctor that I've knowing ever gives you a gift for going to see them especially a nice gift like that a nice blanket to keep you keep you comfortable comfortable and warm it was awesome it's not just about the gift it was about the smiley faces and the happiness and the way he treated me but now I know he told me a lot of stuff that I could do and I had to make my own choice a lot of dentist don't do that they just had nope nope nope take it out but he gave you a lot of choices he was the best I am going to keep going to him as long as I live he was the best I went to so many dentists is because I didn't like how other dentist treated me and not listen to me and were rude and disrespectful but not this dentist and their office is so cool easy and so nice and friendly their staff always have a smile on their face and they always are worried if you're okay keep it up I love your guys's way do not ever change
