Summer is the time for outdoor sports and you can protect your teeth, cheeks, gums and lips with a low-cost mouth guard. It could save you from a knocked out or chipped tooth, and it will prevent you from grinding your teeth during the big game.
No really, just dont. Weve all seen someone open a bottle with their teeth. An amazing feat? Nope, but a great way to cause micro fractures in your teeth. Using your teeth to rip open potato chip bags or to crush ice are also no nos.
The short answer is no. You most likely cannot sunburn your teeth. Shwew! Your lips on the other hand can sunburn. In fact, your lips might be the most susceptible to sunburn. Its important not to rely on regular sunscreen to protect your lips, choose a lip balm with a minimum of SPF 15. It is designed for your lips, and it will stick better. And just like with sunscreen, remember to reapply it every couple hours.
There are lots of reasons to smile all summer long. Evidence suggests that smiling reduces stress and helps your heart. So show those teeth! Brush twice a day, floss daily and smile big. You'll feel better when you do.

Robin always cleans my teeth and does an amazing job! She is the best! Our dentist is very personable and makes me feel comfortable and I trust her work. All the other staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend Merit Dental!

Another great experience with my biannual checkup and cleaning. While I wasn't prepared to fix 2 needed dental issues afterwards, I am happy to have them behind me & plan to schedule the 3rd one sometime in the future. The cost of dental care is still a concern but uncertain I would be happier anywhere else!

Downtown Merit Dental was amazing! They got me in and helped fix my pain. It was mardi gras, so I brought them beads and they all wore them. It was a good time at the dentist!

Staff was very friendly & thorough. My only criticism is the length of time it takes to come back to get a cavity filled. 5 months is way too long! The problem can become much more severe in that length of time. I'm just glad I am not experiencing any pain yet! This needs to change or they may lose patients.

Sadly, I have ended my relationship with this office after the retirement of Mark Standring, who, along with hygienists -- Heidi for the past several years -- provided conscientious, dependable, timely care for three decades. I also had fine dental results with other dentists and staff who've been in/with the practice, I should add. I have had major and recurring problems, however, with the unsteady, unreliable management/ownership of the formerly private practice over the past several years. I endured persistent billing/insurance problems that took most of a year to resolve. The office suffered persistent problems with unreliable phone and internet service that disabled them from sharing important information with a dental surgeon they'd referred me to. And over the past half-dozen years the practice has gone through at least two ownership changes and what seems to me a revolving door of dentists, one of whom was not recognized by the insurance I'd long used. Perhaps management of the office/business has improved since my last visit, but I've lost confidence in this formerly conscientious, reliable, private dental practice, and have moved onto a new, private practice.

Heidi Miller is absolutely awesome! She can clean your teeth as well as any dentist if not better!! I don't know what you pay her but it's not nearly enough and your company is so blessed to have someone of her caliber associated with your team. Everyone there has been exceptional and Dr. Stranding is outstanding.
