Dr. Gregory Janikian is a senior practitioner at Merion Village Dental. Dr. Janikian graduated from the Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in 1991, and afterwards completed a residency in Advanced General and Emergency dentistry at OSU Hospital and College of Dentistry.
Dr. Janikian is a member of the Academy of GP Orthodontics, Academy of Computerized Dentistry of North America, and the American, Ohio and Columbus Dental Associations. Dr. J has completed over 2500 hours of continuing education. He continues to pursue the latest dental technology for the benefit of all of Merion Village Dentals patients.
Dr. Harvey Vesha is our senior practitioner and the founder of Merion Village Dental. He is a 1973 graduate of the OSU College of Dentistry and a member of the American, Ohio and Columbus Dental Societies.
Dr. Vs commitment to his patients care and to MVD is as strong today as when he began. His resolve towards the things he loves is further confirmed by the fact that he continues to be a long-suffering Browns and Indians fan.
Dr. Vs wife, Kathy, is a graduate of the OSU College of Nursing, and she serves on the Board of Creative Living, a non-profit residential housing complex for people with severe physical disabilities. This year they are celebrating their 42ndwedding anniversary.
Their two sons, Alex, and Nicholas, and their respective wives, Virginia and Leslie, also are OSU alumni. Alex, a screenwriter, and Virginia have twins, Evangeline and Graham. Nicholas is also a graduate of The Catholic University College of Law and is a practicing attorney in Dublin. Leslie and Nicholas have two daughters, Charlotte and Penelope.
Dr. Stephanie Lauer was raised in Columbus, having lived in the suburb of Westerville until she attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio for her undergraduate education. She graduated from Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine and has completed a general practice residency program at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland.
Dr. Lauer is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association and the Columbus Dental Society. As a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Dr. Lauer enjoys treating patients that suffer from sleep apnea.
Dr. Lauers husband, Dr. Kevin Weitzel, also attended Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine and went on to obtain a masters degree and a degree in pediatric dentistry from The Ohio State University and Nationwide Childrens Hospital. He is currently practicing pediatric dentistry in Hilliard and Marysville, Ohio.

Marion Dental to me is the best dentist I have ever been to I am 52 years old the office is clean friendly they get you in appointment times that is convenient for you Tina in the finance she sits down and go over all your options and she takes time and very knowledgeable about your insurance and payment Reggie is an excellent and funny and fun hygienist she made me feel real comfortable in the seat which we all know the dentist offices can be pretty scary but the whole staff is very wonderful friendly and knowledgeable thank you Marion Dental Aaron Dukes

My first visit at Merion Village Dental was about 6 months ago after a five year dentistry hiatus due to dental anxiety. I had a traumatic experience with a root canal gone wrong and had not been able to kick my dental fears. I have had both wonderful and less than desirable experiences at MVD. I will start with the wonderful... Both cleanings that I had at MVD with Carrie were fantastic. Carrie has been with MVD for 25 years. That says a lot! She is not only great at what she does, but she is a breath of fresh air. You can tell that she truly cares about her patients. I was treated with respect and kindness by Carrie and received 5 star cleanings. Kanisha is the dental assistant that assisted Dr. Knight with two crown procedures that I recently had done. She also fixed/filled a chip in one of my front teeth after I expressed my unhappiness with how it impacted my smile. Kanisha is someone at MVD that clearly loves her job. It was very evident to me how much she values her patients and her work. She went above and beyond my expectations in making additional small adjustments to my front teeth to improve not only my smile, but my confidence as well. Now for the bad...my appointment last Saturday at MVD was extremely disappointing and I will not be returning. I scheduled an emergency visit after experiencing severe pain for several days on a molar that already has had a root canal which was performed by Dr. Knight a few months ago. The molar is up against one of two new crowns that I had just gotten a week prior. After having a few X-rays taken on the molar, Dr. Knight examined it and gave me a referral to see an endodontist, along with a steroid prescription. On her way out of the exam room, Dr. Knight asked me if my two new crowns were feeling OK to which I answered that they were; however I expressed my regret, while also taking responsibility as it was my choice, in the shade (color) of the crowns as they do not match my teeth nor do they match the color of the other crowns that I have in my mouth. I was very taken a back when Dr. Knight remarked that she had already made the crowns two times...I found her remark to be very insensitive and incredibly unprofessional, not to mention misleading. I felt embarrassed in front of the dental assistant whom was in the room with us. Dr. Knight was correct that my crowns were made twice, but the first set of crowns were temporaries. She (her remark) was insinuating that she already made the crowns a second time or had already redone the crowns for me and that couldn't be further from the truth. I had to wear temporaries that were multiple shades darker than the rest of my teeth because the office ran out of the more fitting color options. I wasn't expecting Dr. Knight to offer to redo my crowns. I realize that they are very pricey. But, I didn't deserve such rudeness. I left that office feeling horrible. If Dr. Knight would've taken a different approach, perhaps offered a kind word or gesture or a listening ear or initiated a conversation about my unhappiness, then I'd feel better about the situation and maybe would have worked out a way to pay to have these crowns redone. I have paid MVD over $4,000 out of pocket since March of this year. You'd think that I would be nothing but happy with how my teeth look and feel, but unfortunately that is not the case. I now have multiple crowns in my mouth that do not match in color and have a terribly sore tooth that did not bother me prior to my last procedure at MVD. It is frustrating to spend that type of money on my teeth in general, but to spend that kind of money to be made to feel like a burden or a number is much worse.

Ever been to a shady mechanic who charges you for services you don't need and didn't agree to pay for? That's MVD! Convenient hours do not make up for the fact that they will rip you off every visit. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY *UPDATE* they did such a terrible job with a crown that I have to have it replaced less than a year later by another dentist. RIP OFF!

Love this place - everyone I've interacted with has been so friendly, patient, and calming. My hygienist, Keturah, is amazing! She explains anything I ask about so well and checks in on me if I'm anxious. Game changer!

I had a really good experience after not having dental insurance for 8 years and not seeing a dentist in 4 years Merion Village dental took great care of me. Riley was my hygienist and was amazing I will be requesting her for all future cleanings. I've never had a hygienist do such a thorough cleaning (she also was awesome at giving me the numbing injections). I love that Merion Village dental offers blankets and you can watch Netflix while they work on your teeth. I also had an awesome experience with the dental assistant who worked on my fillings. Overall the entire staff is so nice, very happy, and genuinely wants to talk to you and get to know you.

I received my first crown, and when coming back for an adjustment Kanisha worked with me to quickly get me numbed, listened to my concerns, answered any and all questions, and just did an overall great job at making me feel like any problem was solvable. I appreciate Merion Village Dental because they go above and beyond to treat you like a person, not just a patient.

MVD has the best customer service. I have been a member for over two years. I have had some apprehensions about getting my wisdom teeth removed (never had prior surgery, and the removal may be complicated in my case). They helped to guide me through their thought process...discussed benefits vs risks with me....in a way that makes me feel empowered to make the best informed choice for myself. And in a world where I find that care costs/insurance aren't often discussed during office visits, I have been surprised to find how knowledgeable, prepared and up front everyone is about explaining expected charges/cost estimates. They were also great with my 3 year old daughter and made her feel so comfortable during her first dental appointment. My family will be patients here for life! (Special shout out to Carrie and Dr. Knight, who I see most often.)

As a child I had a bad experience with the dentist which brought me to be very terrified of the dentist so I end up bad teeth so I became unhappy with my smile untill I went to merion dental where they took my fear away everyone was very gentle to my fear and made me very comfortable and took my fear away everyone there just talked me right though it I a found home here and would recommend them any time everyone very and caring so I would say have no fear merion dental is here I got my smile back thanks merion dental
