Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.
An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

They were kind, efficient and did everything they could to get my girlfriend the care she needed. They have a 24 hour emergency phone line and got us in for an appointment 9 hours after I called. We will be taking our family here from now on.

Wonderful staff and experience. I want to first say I was having a very bad morning and in a terrible mood when I went for my cleaning. I needed a crown but didn't anticipate the cost. The staff were very helpful in offering me in house financing so we could get the crown on that day. My hygienists was super understanding of my poor mood and the concerns I had for her. The entire staff were very wonderful and so willing to help. Also I have had three crowns over the years before this one and this one feels like very good quality.

Staff are all very polite and up beat. Lots of smiles. The work done on my front teeth was amazing to say the least. Thank you Meridian Smiles for the improvement on MY smile!! Horrible service and the dentist wrecked my crown after having me come in to get fitted immediately after a root canal on the same day. Who does that? It was so painful I had to see a physician afterwards. Now they are still trying to harrass me for money I paid to them several years ago for their torture.

Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience here and I did not like how the dentist treated me/handled it. I will not be returning again. Also, for some reason the staff is very slow to assist me. Sometimes they won't call in my prescription for hours, so I have to call back repeatedly to follow up and figure out what's going on. Also, they are very slow at sending receipts over to me as well. Not sure what's going on with this place, but everything feels very unprofessional here.

I originally scheduled the $39 exam, x-ray and cleaning. I had to cancel bc i was sick. I finally made it in and this time I had INSURANCE. After a gruelling 2 hours, I received only an exam and xrays, and finally realized they had no intention of ever cleaning my teeth. However, they did want me to agree me to agree to over $800 worth of work (out of my pocket!!) that i had never been told I needed by my previous dental office which i had been going to for numerous years in CA, namely, a " deep cleaning" , and my previous dentist was AWESOME. I felt very irritated with Dr. Howard because he was pushing a "deep cleaning" on my teeth and all these extra services and even saying I needed crowns. Uh hem, NO. these molars have a lot more life in them. I had to level with him and say I can only do what I can afford. At that point I felt I was being "had" Beware of this dentist. I even prepaid for the cleaning but cancelled it the next day and still havent received a refund. This office went ahead and charged my insurance full price for the xrays and exams $221 ...so what happened to that $39 ??? It's a lie to get you in the office so they can upsell you. I'm glad I went with my gut and cancelled the deep cleaning. It would have maxed out my insurance!!

Dr. Howard is awesome have been going here for around 8 years and have had nothing but good experiences. He warrantees his work so when I broke a crown after only a couple years he covered it. He is willing to answer any questions and explain why he is choosing one procedure vs a different procedure. My daughter broke a tooth around 7 or 8 years old and she has some anxiety and I was worried how she'd do getting it fixed but Dr. Howard was great with her and she had no problems. My kids also see Dr. Fowler for their orthodontist needs and he has been great. He uses newer techniques to make space for teeth and even though my kids have a small mouth like me we have been able to avoid having to pull any adult teeth.

This is long overdue as I have been seeing Dr. Howard for the last 4 years and I am extremely impressed. If you are looking for somebody who does top quality work, cares about details, and easy to work with, look no further than Meridian Smiles. I have had many complicated services provided by Dr. Howard and his team and all have exceeded my expectations. He uses all the latest technology and up to date equipment. He runs a very clean and organized business. His dental hygienist staff have provided the best teeth cleaning my family has ever had. He not only cares about your oral health, but your overall health as well. He is very patience and comfortable to work with. He has has always provided me options and given me all the detailed information needed so I am able to make the choice that is best for me.. He finds out what your big picture goal is and helps lay out the steps to help you achieve it. His dental work is very precise and detailed.

I have been extremely bad about taking care of my teeth. I am so self conscious and hate going to the dentist. I have been to plenty in the past, and every single time they make me feel even worse. This Office has NEVER made me feel worse, instead they made me feel informed. They've helped me get on a plan to get everything fixed, and for the first time in years I was able to smile in confidence. Even cried when I saw them.. Today they temporarily fixed my front teeth, and did a deep clean. Even with my mouth in pain I cannot stop smiling. I am extremely grateful to have found a place so kind. Dr. Howard is a consummate professional: extremely competent and compassionate. I don't work in the area (Hawaii) but he got me into his office on short notice to address an urgent issue. He assessed the situation and got me into his oral surgeon the next morning before my return flight. My entire family intends to request future care from Dr. Howard and his team.
