Dr. McDonald attended Mississippi State University where she received a degree in Microbiology. She began pursuing a career in pediatric dentistry while at MSU. Through her sorority, she volunteered at Le Bonheur Childrens Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. She learned the importance of pediatric healthcare. She also volunteered at the Palmer Home for Children, Make a Wish Foundation and Headstart Schools in Starkville and the surrounding areas. She received a Leadership Scholarship while attending MSU.
After graduating from Mississippi State University, Dr. McDonald attended the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. While at UMMC, she went on summer mission trips to Mexico with the Christian Medical and Dental Association. There she practiced pediatric dentistry during the day and helped lead worship services at night. She loved being able to care for the children while also teaching them about Gods love. Upon graduation from dental school in 2008, she received the award for Outstanding Performance in Pediatric Dentistry from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
After graduation, Dr. McDonald completed a two-year residency at Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi in Pediatric Dentistry and Community Oral Health. She gained experience in treating children of all ages with special medical and behavioral needs. Dr. McDonald considers her time at the children's hospital a blessing and a valuable learning experience.
Dr. McDonald is a lifetime member of Junior Auxiliary. During her time with JA, she was instrumental in establishing the JAMS (Junior Auxiliary Mentoring Service) program with Hope Village for Children. Dr. McDonald is a board member of the Meridian Symphony Association. She is also a supporter of the Mississippi Childrens Museum of Meridian.
She enjoys caring for the dental needs of the children and adolescents of Meridian and the surrounding areas. She hopes to continue volunteering in the community and going on mission trips to help those with dental care needs while teaching them about Christ.

I always feel like I'm going to visit friends when I take my kids to the Dentist. The staff and Dentist are SO welcoming and sweet. 100% recommend Meridian Pediatric Dental Group

We are always treated with kindness and respect. Our child is given then attention that is needed and nothing is hurried. Also, don't have to wait long in the waiting room either- very efficient

My children have always loved this place! My youngest would rather go see Dr. McDonald than anything. At Christmas when asked was she excited for Santa, all she talked about was her dentist appointment she was going to after Christmas. The staff is amazing and the atmosphere is always welcoming! Honest and compassionate in what they do!

The staff are always very welcoming and make the patients feel valued and appreciated. Dr McDonald has always gone above and beyond in treating both of my children. My daughter even makes up "reasons" to come and see her. She is truly by far the best pediatric dentist ever.

Dr.s McCarty and Ellis were very loving towards my children. The staff provided exceptional service from the receptionist to the dental hygienist. I couldn't ask for better service!!!
