Dr. Syed Masihuddin is an alumni of NYU College of Dentistry, class of 2002. He strives to serve multiple areas of dentistry, emphasizing cosmetic and dental implant care. During his time at NYU, he received two years of training in dental implants, and extended his training further at St. Joseph Hospital in NJ (associated with Seton Hall University). Botox and dermal fillers were also areas included his training from AAFE (American Academy of Facial Aesthetics).
Dr. Masihuddin has been awarded recognition in Dental Implant and Cosmetic Dentistry, including the ICOI (International Congress of Implantology) Award of Diplomat in Berlin, Germany. He was chosen as top dentist of Pennsylvania in 2011 and in New York in 2013.
Dr. Masihuddin is a fellow of the American Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). Currently he is a member and in good standing with ADA, AACD, ICOI, AAFE and AGD, where he stays current on advancements in the field of dentistry. His offices utilize state-of-the-art technology, proving top quality care without compromising patient comfort.
Dr. Puri grew up in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, and completed his dental training at NYU Dental School. Upon completion of his residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, Dr. Puri opened a private practice in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Orthodontics became his passion, so he extended his dental education and became certified in orthodontics from the prestigious Eastman Dental. He has been successfully practicing orthodontics for over 15 years, providing proper diagnosis and effective treatment planning. Dr. Puri works with young children, adolescents and adults, offering traditional braces, Invisalign clear aligners and ClearCorrect therapy. Dr. Puri spends quality time with each patient to answer any questions and ensure the best treatment options are provided. He maintains all continuing education requirements and remains an active member of the American Dental Association and American Association of Orthodontists.

Recently relocated to Greenwood Lake and needed a new dentist. Right from the start, I got a good feeling on the phone talking with Amanda (really wonderful person) and the rest of my visit followed suit. Another really nice person, Chelsea cleaned my teeth without any discomfort. DR. S came in for a quick check up and all was well. On the way out, had a chance to finish up with Joseph (another nice person). No surprise everyone who worked on me was nice, knowledgeable and professional too.

I love this place!! The staff is very nice and accommodating. I feel Dr. Syed is not only a dentist, he is an artist making sure the teeth look just right. I've had nothing but good experiences there and totally Dr. Syed. With all my dental needs. Joe is the best as well as my Hygenist Ellie.

Tried this Dentist out 6 months back and compared to our previous dentist there was no comparison at all. The staff was super friendly and the hygienist was an absolute doll. My 12 year old son who is on the spectrum had a filling done and they were super delicate with him and handled him perfectly. Both me and my son were seen yesterday and we both had an awesome experience. I highly recommend Merchant Square dental to anyone looking for a dentist in the Warwick area and beyond.

Once again another fantastic visit. This time to get 2 porcelain laminates. Dr and all staff were awesome.....and i quote from the Dr... we will take as long as it takes to make them perfect!!!...and he did. Adjusting, readjusting.....no rush. I know he is a very busy dentist traveling to multiple offices, but he never rushes and takes his time. Thank you to all the staff At Merchant Square Dental.

I have finally decided to come around and tell this story. Years ago, when I was in the Peace Corps, I got a really bad infection in my post under my crown (which was made terribly by another dentist in Warwick). I was in the US visiting family and had to find a dentist to take it out. I called all over and this office accepted to see me under the Peace Corps payment plan. I went in to get a consult and agreed to come back for removal within the week, it was really urgent. Right before I came in for removal I received a call stating that the "Doctor" no longer would accept the Peace Corps payment cause he didn't "trust it", so I had to pay out of pocket. This felt like taking advantage of the urgency of the situation and a bait and switch. I was really upset but had a serious jaw infection at that point so I scrounged together money to pay out of pocket (I would apply for reimbursement from peace corps later). The procedure was horrifying, Syed was yelling at his assistant and being incredibly inappropriate (the assistant quit right after this event, which apparently happens often). He was incredibly forceful and nasty to me, saying that I was taking up his lunch hour. Lovely. After the extraction I had serious neck pain and headaches for months. When I confronted him about it I was told that he had nothing to do with it. The bone graft that he charged me 400 dollars for out of pocket also did not hold. I have never had a worse dental experience in my life. Please avoid if you can. Syed is inappropriate, rude, and inept.

I have been a patient here for over 15 years. My wife finally agreed to try this place out after hearing a lot of mixed reviews of this place. Original appt was changed because they said they had room for her at an earlier date, so we agreed. As we are walking out the door, they call us and told us they don't have space for us. Why would they change our date if they don't have the space. We made a stink and they agreed to see us. We got there and told them we had another appointment to make at noon, and they tell us they can't see us for another 30 minutes at least. Mean while the waiting room is packed and not we were not able to sit down, especially since my wife recently had back surgery. Why would they change the original appt when they knew they were booked solid. She will not be returning after being treated so poorly as a first time patient and I am also thinking about changing my dentist. Very disappointed.
