Had an old root canal that was in need of cleaning down along the roots. Dr. Merchant's advanced cleaning methods did the trick. The whole process was as good as it could possibly be. The office staff were very nice and I felt like I was getting world class treatment. Thanks Doc.

The Staff is always so nice and patient! Even with masks on you can tell they're all smiling. Both Dr. Merchants are wonderful at what they do! After so many bad experiences with dentist it's nice to have found a provider(s) that you can have confidence in their treatment plan and be comfortable with. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Dr. Merchant is an excellent endodontist! He is compassionate and skilled. I appreciated that he frequently checked on my comfort during the procedure. While nobody enjoys root canals, you can relax knowing you are getting the best care!

I required an emergency root canal last week and was very nervous about the procedure. Dr. Merchant was so gentle that I actually drifted off to sleep twice. His office is equipped with ultra modern technology to provide thorough and painless services. Dr. Merchant is a dental magician! Absolutely 5 star service. Thank you again for saving my tooth!

Hands down the best Endodontics office in San Diego...friendly office, efficient doctor, expert in the field. Dr Merchant can do a procedure in 20 minute, where others have taken 2 hours and have failed. And thank you so much for taking care of my daughter when she had an urgent situation. Saved the day!

After a very unprofessional and terrible experience last year at Vista Village family Dentistry with a root canal performed. I never went back to complete the work and my tooth was still opened. I had another tooth that began to give me problems and my new Dentist referred me to Dr Merchant. The time prior I had major anxiety. The day of my appointment, Dr Merchant was so professional and he made sure to give me enough lidocaine to where I never felt a thing the whole time. He even cleaned and patched up the tooth from last years root canal experience. They are the best here. I felt like family and they all treated me with care.

Dr Merchant is the "Tooth Whisper". I have had three root canals over the years and each time Dr Merchant has incorporated new technology to make the process faster and more comfortable. His staff is exceptional - professional and personable, always quick to answer a question or explain a procedure. *Hopefully* this is my last and final root canal, but if not, there is only one Endodontist I will visit.

My wife was experiencing pain and Dr Merchant responded by seeing her, and doing a root canal the very next day! He and all staff were professional and courteous all of the time. My wife is Chinese and they made her very comfortable and we made sure she understood everything that was going to happen. The procedure was a huge success and the pain was much, much less the very next day, and completely gone in about 3 days. We enthusiastically recommend Dr Merchant for any and all endodontic needs. Where to start? Dr. Merchant and staff listened to my concerns and details of my symptoms and did not discount them. I felt involved in my care. They did not push for unnecessary treatment. VERY thorough, I highly recommend!

If you need a root canal this is the dental practice to go. A wonderful staff that makes you feel very comfortable. The facility is impeccably clean with many safety protocols not seen on other dental practices. I felt very safe from possible covid exposure. And Dr. Merchant is very caring and highly skilled, he derserves 10 stars. This is my 4th root canal over the years with different endodontists not that I want another but if I did I would not hesitate to go there again. ***** ***** 10 stars overall.

First time I needed endodontics work since I retired in San Diego, 2018. I had a root canal 20 + years ago, and in last few months, I kept having infection between this tooth and the one next to it. My primary Dentist referred me to Dr. Merchant. But, I had to go another Endodontist who is in the network my insurance covers. I was not happy after a consultation - a technician took an x-ray of my teeth, and a Doctor tapped my teeth a few times and said one of the 2 teeth needs a root canal or a re-root canal. Then, they started working on written estimates for the work - more time on the estimates than checking out my teeth. I decided to go to Dr. Merchant even though I believed that I may have to pay more. Dr. Kimberly Merchant spent a good amount of time with me, showing the ex-ray and explaining that the old root canal was done only 2 roots and the 3th root was not done; she further explaining what she can do to repair the old root canal. The front desk Staff said I needed 2 visits and verbally told me what the fee was - to my surprise, the fee was a few hundred dollars less compares to other Endodontist. Each visit, while Dr. Merchant working on my tooth, she talks to me on every steps she does. Dr. Merchant successfully repaired my old root canal! Now, I am free from pain/discomfort - very happy. Dr. Kimberly Merchant and her Assistants are experienced and professional, Office Staffs are cordial, and the facility is impeccably clean - thank you All. I highly recommended Merchant Endodontics. Also, many thanks to my primary Dentist, Dr. Phuong Tran in Encinitas who referred me to Merchant Endodontics. Thuy

Wow! I was so apprehensive, in fear really, about getting a root canal that by the time I had driven to their office I was quite agitated. Boy was I wrong. Merchant Endodontics was fantastic! The office is peaceful, the staff is fantastic and Dr. Steven Merchant is a master. Let me tell you how good this man is - first, he came in on his day off and second, I fell asleep while he was doing the root canal. Thank you.

I was at Dr. Merchant's office today and got my third root canal here. The numbness he did was perfect I don't have that 'frozen' mouth and enjoyed a healthy baked chicken dinner tonight. I feel no pain at all tonight. The office staff couldn't be more warm and welcoming, such smart girls!!! He is a really good specialist and the ONLY one you should ever go to for a root canal, he is very honest too and everything is clean and safe here.

Dr. Kim Merchant and her team, including Sarah and Vanessa, took great care of me when I had a complicated/stubborn root canal. They checked in with me after the procedures to make sure I was healing okay and my pain was reducing. Dr. Kim called me personally and provided her cell phone in case I needed to contact her over the weekend. That's exceptional care.

It was my first visit & the staff was very nice and friendly. Everything was super organized & Dr. Merchant himself was very kind and welcoming. He really puts in the effort to consider what you tell him and is very understanding & thoughtful. I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Merchant and his team are simply the best! I have had two root canals done. They truly go above any beyond to make sure your taken care of, your treatment is a success and your pain is gone! Sara and Sarah in the front office are wonderful, kind and caring! Sara even called me on Friday at 9:45pm to get me scheduled first thing when they re-opened on Tuesday! Thank you for everything! You guys are the best!
