Hello! I am a Seattle native and have lived almost my entire life in this beautiful city. During college, I spent 2 years on the East Coast in Rhode Island pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree in Hospitality Management at Johnson and Wales University. After moving back to Seattle, I decided to pursue a career in Pediatric Dentistry because I have always had a deep love for helping people and working with children. I feel so lucky to be able to work with your children and provide them a fun and easy experience! In my free time I enjoy spending time with my two dogs, traveling, and knitting new creations.

Hi my name is Isabel. I was born and raised in the pacific northwest . A little about me I enjoy hanging out with my family and going on hikes. Dental hygiene is so important to me and that is why I enjoy coming to work, working with children to explain the importance of keeping your teeth nice and healthy. One of my favorite things about pediatric dentistry is being able to interact with the children and helping them feel at ease during their dental visits. My goal is to become a dental hygienist in the near future.

Such a friendly and professional staff, I've been taking my kids here since they were one. Dr. Vu is amazing with the little ones. I highly recommend to all my friends.

Dr Vu and her staff lack passion, professionalism and just don't seem to care. My daughter had a procedure here a while ago, it was a extraction with a bridge placement. The process was quite traumatic for her. The recovery process was the worst part. My daughter woke up from anesthesia rough, we were shown to a "area" where we were told we could spend as long as we needed for her to recover. The area wasn't a private room or anywhere relaxing, it was the middle of main floor where they usually saw appointments (was empty with lights off since they did procedures before the opened). My daughter was screaming, throwing up, and wanting to be cuddled. We only had sat down for a minute or two when Dr. Vu herself came by and picked up our belongings, opened the back door and offered to "help us out", she essentially guided us out, kicked us out and told us my daughter was scaring the other children. She just pushed us out the door, handed us our stuff and let the door shut and auto lock behind us. We couldn't even go back inside. So then we had to awkwardly stand outside with the doors locked behind us on the sidewalk while my daughter freaked out and just wanted to sit down and be held. She was scared and felt helpless. They do these procedures frequently, I don't know why there isn't a better aftercare plan in place. Yes, they did walk the next patient right by her while she was freaking out, but that's not really out fault when they don't have a better recovery area. This all happened pre-pandemic too, it's just taken me until now to build the courage to write this review. So it isn't related to any temporary pandemic changes. I would definitely stay away from this place.

Dr. Vu is a great dentist but the staff is very incompetent. I had an appointment scheduled and took my kids out of school for this, AND took time off work (which was extremely difficult with work being super busy)- and 20 mins before our appointment as I'm rushing to get there in a timely manner, I had the staff call me to let me know they no longer take our dental plan. I'm sure they like their time being respected but they sure don't respect ours. I asked why nobody had even made the effort to call me to notify me of the change, they said it "skipped" their manager lol. Then I asked how long has it had been that they stopped taking the plan they said it's been a few months. I called to make the appointment a month ago. Anyway, just sharing so you quadruple check your insurance details with them even on the day of the appointment.

Terrible terrible front desk service. They have one by one lost my 4 children as patience. So yourself a favor and not take your children here.

If anyone chose to go there, I wish you a good luck! I would NOT recommend anyone to go there! We had a really BAD experience and got trapped. 1. The treatment was processed without my signature on consent of the treatment plan, which was considered as assault. 2. Violation of HIPAA rule - The dentist leaked other patients' confidential information. - Date of Birth, treatment information and statements. The front desk sent me other 3 patients's statements. 3. Mercer Island Pediatric Dentistry misled and misinformed clients on the treatment cost. The Dentist failed to disclose all the costs. She didn't make sure patients clearly understand the procedures she is performing and the costs associated with those services. I was not clearly informed of the financial responsibility for services. The dentist failed to offer coordinate insurance benefits, follow through. Some details on our bad experience: Don't trust whatever the front desk manager and the dentist tell you on the cost estimate, because they will only give you some misleading on your payment portion. First, they will say insurance covers most of it, then after treatment, they would let you pay in FULL(100% of the bill). That's a huge difference -- adjustment or pay 100%, it's not called an estimate, it's called assault! That's what happened to us. If your child goes there for teeth cleaning and treatment, please call your insurance company by yourself to verify everything they will do BEFORE your treatment, don't trust the front desk manager, she will NOT check with your insurance company. You are the one who sign and pay, she only asks for checks, not caring about clients! We ended up with paying 100% of the bill out of pocket! We have dental insurance and I don't know what happened between the dentist and insurance company's relationship. We just want to get rid of them, and move on. After we paid off the balance, the front desk didn't even send a receipt until I called in and make sure they process it and sent over to me. Otherwise, they just skipped it. People CANNOT trust them, not recommending anyone to take the risk!

Very clean and covid sensitive. I just don't like how I am not allowed in with my child. Even with being screened I was not able to go back with my 4 year old. I would think exceptions could be made for a child so young. Also, they said to wait in the car or outside until my children were done with their appointments, however when I was called to pick them up, there were three other parents waiting in the waiting room..

It was my first visit at the clinic today and I was pretty put off by their front desk personnel, to the point where I did not make a return appointment for my child. They collect every single private information about you as the parent, including your SSN, for no apparent reason, as they're not doing a background check on you, and already have the relevant information for billing such as address and insurance information. When I wanted to leave it blank due to privacy concerns (such as identity theft, all it takes is one data breach), this front desk personnel insisted. I didn't want to cancel my child's appointment on the spot, so I relented, but was not pleased. In short, bad first impression and I regret making an appointment here.

My kids have grown up in Dr. Vu's care. It's pretty amazing to hear both kids say that they're excited to go to the dentist. The office is impeccably clean, professionally run, and Dr. Vu and her staff are knowledgeable, informative, and kind. I honestly couldn't ask for a better dental experience for my children. Highly recommend.

My child has enjoyed all her experiences here from extensive dental work to bi-annual cleanings. The staff is always very nice to both of us. All details, procedures, and after care were explained to us very well. Due to COVID, I was not able to be in the room with my child, but there are windows to view from. I would highly recommend this dental office to any parent.

Do not go here if you are uncomfortable giving out your social security number to random people. They have NO business obtaining anyone's SSN, and it's ridiculous that they were so insistent on having my SSN even though I booked an appointment in advance and showed up on time for it. I have asked around, and no other dental offices (pediatric or not) do not collect ssn from their patients. I do not care for the receptionist's attitude either.

My 3.5yr old son just transition successfully from dentist appointment with mom to the "big boy" dentist chair by himself. Dr Vu and the MIPD team made that all possible with their kind & welcoming approach and all the things that interest little boys and make them comfortable for a new experience! Thanks, Dr. Vu, for being an important part of my children's life!
