In February of 2021, I came to this office to have a root canal finished that my previous dentist could not within their appointment windows because my roots were too long. I was so happy that this dentist could fit me in on such short notice and complete the procedure. His staff assured me that my crown request would be sent in and taken care of, which couldn't have been farther from the truth. It took them well over a year to get the proper X-rays and paperwork together to send the request in and successfully get the crown approved. Along the way, I kept regular communication with his office staff who attempted to direct me to call my insurance since THEY were having issues. Every time I did call my insurance, they were confused as they would only communicate with the office. Finally, last week I received a call notifying me that they had received my crown approval, but they would not bring me in until April 18th to have it placed. Today I came in for an emergency appointment as my opposite molar, which has needed a root canal for just as long as the first, has broken and causes me excruciating pain when I drink water (forget eating). This dentist refused to do anything more than look at it and offer me Tylenol until I have given birth, which will not happen for another 3 months. His staff brushed him off as being "old school" as they canceled my crown appointment, sent in a useless prescription, and essentially told me to get over it. The dentist refused to justify his decision aside from avoiding "risks" associated with my pregnancy. There are few to no risks in performing this root canal and placing my first crown. Nothing that I wouldn't be willing to sign a consent form for as my OB already has. I am not opposed to rectifying this situation if this office comes to its senses, I just want the care I need to be treated with the urgency it deserves. I cannot adequately nourish this pregnancy with this level of pain, dismissing me until I have given birth is not the answer.

1st of all, I wanna start by saying I hate the Dentist! However, Dr. Amro and his staff went above and beyond! Still hate the Dentist but love Dr.Amro. Most Dentist won't do what he was able to do for me, they would've sent me to a "Specialist" and charged me up the you know what! Hands down great dentist and very friendly staff!

First off I was having some pain call to set a appointment which was push 5 days until I could get seen thank god my pain went away for now then I had a appointment yesterday 10am no call or text to let me know they had a power outage and to let me know not to go in for my appointment upon arrival receptionist name Angie was appparently busy on the phone contacting other patients to let them know not to show up but she couldn't call me or text me to tell me instead..... made me waste my time going in missing work all for nothing i am being treated unfairly which is wrong of this receptionist lady! Then I get a call next day which is today to reschedule and she set my appointment even more further out now until the middle of next month not happy with the way receptionist Angie does her job very unprofessional

Most outdated dentist ever. Please DO NOT GO. I had a crown delivered by this dentist and part of my tooth is visible they did not cover the complete tooth. I was so unhappy with the results . You may get a cheaper price on crowns but do not waist your time here it is not worth it .

Dr Amro (the best dentist ever) is very gentle and he makes sure that you are not in pain he explains what is wrong and right away fixes an appt. I had no pain during my root canal, I had an amazing experience the staff members are so wonderful including the front desk ladies Angie,Amber(RDA) and Dallas (DA) are so sweet I recommend to visit merced family dental 10/10.

Dr. Amro is the best dental surgeon I found in three countries, Mexico (City), Spain (Madrid), and USA (California). We are very fortunate to have a doctor of his experience and professionalism and stature here in Merced. I highly recommend him.

The girls there are very helpful and welcoming with a very friendly atmosphere. I love the Dentist. He cares about his employees and his patients. I have been his patient for over 5 years now.
