Dr. Brittany Huiras grew up in the small town of Amery. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where she earned her Bachelor of Science in biology and graduated cum laude. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Marquette University School of Dentistry, where she graduated with the highest academic distinction of summa cum laude. She was honored with induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Huirass favorite aspect of dentistry is building relationships with patients. She values the importance of patient relationships based on communication, compassion, and a high standard of dental care. She is always willing to listen to any concerns of patients and answer any questions to ensure all dental needs are met.
Outside the office, Dr. Huiras enjoys spending time with her husband Tyler and their rescue dog Penny. Together they like staying active and spending time outdoors. During the summer, they love spending time at the family cabin in Lake Holcombe, where they enjoy water sports, family time, and relaxation. Dr. Huiras is excited to be back in Eau Claire, close to family and friends!
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Kari Peper joined Menomonie Street Dental in June 2017! Dr. Peper was born and raised in Neenah. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she earned her Bachelor of Science in biology and graduated with Distinctive Scholastic Achievement. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
Dr. Peper is passionate about building long-lasting relationships with patients and their families. She believes in taking the time to listen to patients in order to create a treatment plan that meets their goals and achieves optimum oral health.
In her spare time, Dr. Peper enjoys being outdoors with her husband John, cheering on the Packers and Badgers, and spending time at her family cabin. Dr. Peper is delighted to join the Eau Claire community!
I find great joy in my profession as a dentist by creating beautiful and healthy smiles for my patients. My practice philosophy is to provide an exceptional level of care to my patients. This begins with spending time to build relationships and listening to the desires and concerns of my patients. I have clear and honest conversations about the dental conditions that are present and the options for treatment. I respect the fact that dental treatment may require an investment of time and finances, and I ensure that careful planning is completed.
During treatment, comfort is an important concern, and I make every effort possible to make certain that a patients time spent with me is as enjoyable as possible. I stay abreast of the latest technology and techniques to ensure high-quality treatment is delivered. I understand the importance of oral health and will work as a team with my patients to keep them happy, healthy, and smiling!
I have taken many hours of additional continuing education in advanced topics such as oral surgery, endodontics, pediatrics, and advanced restorative treatment. I believe that I have an obligation to my profession and patients to stay current with the latest advancements in dentistry.
I was born in Eau Claire, but grew up in southern Wisconsin. I am happily married to my wife Katie, and we have three beautiful children, Elise, Evan, and Aiden. We love being active and stay busy running after our three young children. We enjoy traveling, skiing, exercising, camping, and spending time with family and friends. I am an avid hunter and when fall rolls around, I enjoy spending time outdoors. We love living in Eau Claire and enjoy being part of a wonderful community.
Growing up in a family of healthcare providers, I was able to see them develop relationships based on care and compassion, and I realized what a great need I had to make a difference in peoples lives through oral healthcare.
My practice philosophy is to treat all patients as though they are family members. I strive to provide my patients with comprehensive information and to develop a strategy to achieve optimum oral health while considering each patients beliefs, desires, and needs. It is a great joy to develop strong relationships, understand my patients dental concerns, and to create smiles on a daily basis.
In addition to my formal education, I have completed more than 450 hours of continuing education and university training in dental implants and have a special focus in the areas of aesthetic and family dentistry.
In my free time, I most likely can be found enjoying life in the outdoors. You may find my wife Erin and I running with our dogs on the Chippewa River trails, or you may find me enjoying a sunny evening watching the Eau Claire Express and Cavaliers. Other interests include hunting and fishing with my dad and brothers, vacationing at the family cabin in the Hayward area, and playing and watching our three children as they grow and mature.
