Menomonie Street Dental is located in Eau Claire surrounded by University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, Carson Park, and Eau Claires West Side. The practice is set in a lush green tract of land. The campus setting is designed to give our patients a sense of ease even as they approach the building. Every operatory overlooks a peaceful view of Eau Claires natural setting. Dr. Brittany Huiras grew up in the small town of Amery. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where she earned her Bachelor of Science in biology and graduated cum laude. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Marquette University School of Dentistry, where she graduated with the highest academic distinction of summa cum laude. She was honored with induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Huirass favorite aspect of dentistry is building relationships with patients. She values the importance of patient relationships based on communication, compassion, and a high standard of dental care. She is always willing to listen to any concerns of patients and answer any questions to ensure all dental needs are met.
Outside the office, Dr. Huiras enjoys spending time with her husband Tyler and their rescue dog Penny. Together they like staying active and spending time outdoors. During the summer, they love spending time at the family cabin in Lake Holcombe, where they enjoy water sports, family time, and relaxation. Dr. Huiras is excited to be back in Eau Claire, close to family and friends!
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Kari Peper joined Menomonie Street Dental in June 2017! Dr. Peper was born and raised in Neenah. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she earned her Bachelor of Science in biology and graduated with Distinctive Scholastic Achievement. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
Dr. Peper is passionate about building long-lasting relationships with patients and their families. She believes in taking the time to listen to patients in order to create a treatment plan that meets their goals and achieves optimum oral health.
In her spare time, Dr. Peper enjoys being outdoors with her husband John, cheering on the Packers and Badgers, and spending time at her family cabin. Dr. Peper is delighted to join the Eau Claire community!
I find great joy in my profession as a dentist by creating beautiful and healthy smiles for my patients. My practice philosophy is to provide an exceptional level of care to my patients. This begins with spending time to build relationships and listening to the desires and concerns of my patients. I have clear and honest conversations about the dental conditions that are present and the options for treatment. I respect the fact that dental treatment may require an investment of time and finances, and I ensure that careful planning is completed.
During treatment, comfort is an important concern, and I make every effort possible to make certain that a patients time spent with me is as enjoyable as possible. I stay abreast of the latest technology and techniques to ensure high-quality treatment is delivered. I understand the importance of oral health and will work as a team with my patients to keep them happy, healthy, and smiling!
I have taken many hours of additional continuing education in advanced topics such as oral surgery, endodontics, pediatrics, and advanced restorative treatment. I believe that I have an obligation to my profession and patients to stay current with the latest advancements in dentistry.
I was born in Eau Claire, but grew up in southern Wisconsin. I am happily married to my wife Katie, and we have three beautiful children, Elise, Evan, and Aiden. We love being active and stay busy running after our three young children. We enjoy traveling, skiing, exercising, camping, and spending time with family and friends. I am an avid hunter and when fall rolls around, I enjoy spending time outdoors. We love living in Eau Claire and enjoy being part of a wonderful community.
Growing up in a family of healthcare providers, I was able to see them develop relationships based on care and compassion, and I realized what a great need I had to make a difference in peoples lives through oral healthcare.
My practice philosophy is to treat all patients as though they are family members. I strive to provide my patients with comprehensive information and to develop a strategy to achieve optimum oral health while considering each patients beliefs, desires, and needs. It is a great joy to develop strong relationships, understand my patients dental concerns, and to create smiles on a daily basis.
In addition to my formal education, I have completed more than 450 hours of continuing education and university training in dental implants and have a special focus in the areas of aesthetic and family dentistry.
In my free time, I most likely can be found enjoying life in the outdoors. You may find my wife Erin and I running with our dogs on the Chippewa River trails, or you may find me enjoying a sunny evening watching the Eau Claire Express and Cavaliers. Other interests include hunting and fishing with my dad and brothers, vacationing at the family cabin in the Hayward area, and playing and watching our three children as they grow and mature.

I needed to have some work done on a tooth that had a nerve die. Had I waited any longer I was risking my life from the infection. I had told their billing person it would be a while before I could pay it off as this was an emergency and couldn't be planned for financially. Yet I got a call from them telling me I should cancel all of my future appointments because I do not have the funds to pay what they want at this time. I have the recording of this phone call. How any healthcare facility thinks this is justifiable is beyond me. Dental care is health care and this facility will push and refuse care just because you might have an emergency you can't afford in that moment. Never go here, especially if you are having a dental emergency.

Don't be fooled by the high ratings like I did. chose this place because of the high rating. Had a consultation to have my bottom wisdom tooths pulled. The dentist recommended only one being pulled but, on my appointment, decided to pull each bottom wisdom tooth. After appointment, I was told pain is normal with Tylenol and ibuprofen regimen to maintain pain. After a few days, pain became too much. Asked if there was anything else they can do to help with pain. I was told by my Dentist due to his track record of NEVER prescribing anything stronger than Ibuprofen and Tylenol, I will have to ENDURE THE PAIN BY MYSELF. I understand the potential addiction of pain meds but to tell me to deal with the pain due to keeping his TRACK RECORD clean. I'm glad my dentist's track record means more to Menomonie Street Dental than the patient's pain. Paid off my bill and I WILL NEVER RETURN AGAIN. I AM ALSO RECOMMENDING TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO GO ELSEWHERE. Wouldn't want to hurt Menomonie Street Dental's track record. Had my family medicine Doctor prescribe me some oxy only to stop taking it after 2 doses because I did not like the way it made me feel. My family medicine doctor adjusted my Tylenol and Ibuprofen regimen to where I was able to tolerate the tooth pain until it healed. Discarded the oxy at my clinic hospital.

As always, it was a lovely visit! They do a great job cleaning my teeth, are always friendly, and keep me informed about what I need to do to make sure my teeth stay healthy. Very fair prices when I needed a tooth pulled and a few fillings. Can't reccomend them enough!

Horrible!!! I went to them as they came HIGHLY recommended. I don't understand why. They destroyed my mouth. I went back 3x to get the issues fixed. They just made it worse. Out of the umpteen fillings I was given none of them stayed. They wanted me to pay the rest of my balance. I had paid out over 2k as it was and refused because the work was shoddy and destructive. They are now suing me for the remaining balance. As I told them we can handle this in court. I will never recommend them. They are 100% money oriented. Your insurance not great? Prepare for the absolute most bare minimum care. Condescending dentists and absolute bloodhounds when it comes to them wanting their money. They don't care how bad they mess your mouth up. If you complain they will blame you for poor after care. Less than a week later mind you. Beyond unhappy.

I didn't have a regular dentist and I was in pain , they worked me in the same day I called. The staff was wonderful and Dr. Eric and Tabitha may have cured my fear of dentist. Thank you!!!

I went here for 7-8 years. Stopped going because my dentist failed to inform me that I was potentially grinding my teeth at night. It took an orthodontist to tell me this and now my teeth are really on the downward spiral.

Service was great until they didn't bill my insurance . When trying to resolve this matter I was hung up by the financial department 3 times finally the person I originally talked to said I need to bill my insurance. A nightmare from the start and now there taking me to collections very not impressed

Just started going here a few weeks back after years of not going to dentist. Already have a few issues fixed and more planned. I wish I could give better than 5 star I had my teeth cleaned today and they got spots off my teeth that have been there since my teen years. I am super happy with msd so far
