Dr. Stiner grew up in the small town of Burke, South Dakota. Like many kids in that area, he grew up playing sports and working with his father on the family farm. He developed an interest for dentistry while shadowing his hometown dentist and seeing first-hand how a gentle caring approach can impact a patients dental experience.
Dr. Stiner Graduated Magna Cum Lade with a degree in Biology from South Dakota State University and went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University of Minnesota. After finishing dental school, Dr. Stiner was commissioned as a Captain in the United States Air Force. During his service in the Air Force Dr. Stiner was stationed at Travis Air Force base in California where he completed a one year general practice residency and participated in a humanitarian mission serving the dental needs of residents of South America. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Stiner was stationed at Minot Air Force Base in Minot ND. After an Honorable Discharge from the Air Force Dr. Stiner practiced in Hibbing, MN for three years. He loved the recreational opportunities and history of the Iron Range, but missed the close proximity to family and friends. Dr Stiner relocated to the south metro in 2017 and purchased Mendota Heights Dental Center from Dr. McNamara in June of 2019. Dr Stiner enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and treating patients of all ages. He is committed to educating his patients, listening to their concerns, and helping them find the best solutions for their oral health.
Dr. Stiner resides in Lakeville with his wife Sarah, their three children, and Vizsla Captain. In his free time he enjoys mountain biking, running, hiking, fishing, coaching youth athletics, watching his childrens sporting events, and cheering on the Gophers and Vikings.
Our staff is our greatest asset to our office. We have had the good fortune to have a staff that has been together for many years. Patients of record are greeted bypeople who are familiar with them and their families. We have two dental hygienists, one dentalassistant, and an office manager.
Dental Assistant: Merri, since 1989 has now retired after 30 years in our practice. She will be missed. Our new assistant, Jodi will be assisting Dr. Stiner and is enjoying meeting and taking care of all of our patients.

I have been going to Mendota Heights Dental for decades. They do a fantastic job and truly care about their patients. I would give them more than 5 stars if possible.

10/10 would recommend! The Dental Hygienist that worked with me, Josie, was amazing! All staff are vaccinated so I felt very safe. Everyone was very friendly and professional.

Everyone here is so kind and patient. I had to have a filling and a crown. Dr. Stiner and Judy talked me through everything they were doing and gave me plenty of breaks. They did a fantastic job and made me feel good about going to a dentist!

The basic service was okay but of all I've had I'd rate it on the lower end. Something was suggested for me that I didn't want or need, but I did it based on the quote the doctor's office gave me. I then paid my portion in full only to have an additional amount added to it later. I've never had a dental office quote me a price then try to get more money out of me so I will go elsewhere from now on. Also my teeth haven't been quite right since. The doctor is competent but there are newer offices with more modern approaches.

Dr McNamara has been our family dentist for over 20 years. During that time he has skillfully handled a wide range of dental problems with superior results.
