Dr. Stan Werner has studied with many of the most influential orthodontists of our time including: Dr. Charlie Tweed, Dr. Ron Roth, Dr. Larry Andrews, Dr. Robert Ricketts and Dr. Charles Stuart. Over the years Dr. Werner has mentored several of his patients who have gone on to become dentists and orthodontists. Along with his son, Dr. Scott Werner, he has been voted one of Memphiss Top Dentists every year since 2008.
Dr. Stanley Werner holds memberships in the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the Memphis Dental Society. In addition, he is a member and past president of the Tennessee Association of Orthodontists, is a founding member and past president of the Memphis Association of Orthodontists, and is also a past president and member of the University of Tennessee Orthodontic Alumni Association. He is also a fellow of the American College of Dentists and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
In Dental School, Dr. Stanley Werner graduated first in his class, received the Richard Dogget Dean Scholarship Award, the International College of Dentists Award for Academic Excellence and was also president of his dental class.
After graduation from Dental School in September 1965, Dr. Werner was an instructor in the operative dentistry department at University of Tennessee. After graduation from the orthodontic program in May 1968, Dr. Werner was associate professor in the Orthodontic department for several years. Furthermore, he continues to have a strong commitment to the orthodontic department at the University of Tennessee and has supported it since graduation in 1968.
Dr. Stanley Werner is known as a workaholic and is generally at the office doing something seven days a week. He loves his profession and enjoys his work and his relationships with his patientsmany of whom are 3rd generation patients. He is a member of Faith Lutheran Church which he strongly supports and has served as an elder. In his time off, he enjoys some hunting and fishing, time with his wife and family. He also spends a lot of time on his tractor and working on his farm.
Dr. Scott Werners interest in Orthodontics and the dental health field stems from his father, Dr. Stanley Werner. At a very young age, he began watching his father and was influenced greatly by his creativity and mechanical dexterity needed to achieve results expected by patients.
Dr. Scott graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He went on to graduate with Honors from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry where he received his Doctorate. Additionally, he received a Master of Science in Orthodontics from the University of Detroit Mercy. Dr. Scott is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. In fact, less than 50% of Orthodontists achieve Diplomate status with the American Board of Orthodontics.
In Dental School, Dr. Scott was awarded the Richard Doggett Dean & Marguerite Taylor Dean Honorary Odontological Society Scholarship Award, was a member of the IMHOTEP Leadership Society, and the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity. He was president of Psi Omega Dental Fraternity and Vice President of his dental class. Furthermore, he presented lectures at the American Association of Dental Research in San Francisco and the International Association of Dental Research in Montreal.
Dr Scott has published papers in the Cleft Palate Journal and the Journal of Dental Research. After graduation from his orthodontic resident in 1992, he published articles in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontist and the Angle of Orthodontist. He taught Orthodontics at the University of Tennessee Dental School for a number of years. Memphis Dental Society awarded him the Outstanding Young Dentist Award for 1999-2000. The Tennessee Dental Association also gave him the Fellowship Award for Distinguished Service.
Furthermore, Dr. Scott also holds memberships in the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and is also a fellow with the American College of Dentists. Dr. Scott Werner is a Board Certified Orthodontist. In previous years, Dr. Scott Werner was president of the Memphis Association of Orthodontists, Tennessee Association of Orthodontists, and the Memphis Dental Society. He has also served as a delegate to the Tennessee Dental Association. Along with his father, Dr. Stanley Werner, he has been voted one of Memphiss Top Dentists every year since 2008.
Dr. Scott and his family are members of St. Louis Catholic Church, where he has been involved with the youth group as an advisor and served as a member of the Pastoral Council. He has also coached soccer, T-ball, basketball, and golf. In his spare time, Dr. Scott enjoys being with his family, golfing, hunting, boating and following the Memphis Tigers!

Best place for orthodontic treatment. I had braces there for many years and Dr. Stanley and Dr. Scott Werner were so knowledgeable and helpful. I used to have very crooked teeth as a child, and for many years, we could not figure out why. Dr. Stanley Werner found out the cause of my crooked teeth and then we were able to address it so my teeth would stay straight after my braces were taken off even! They are the experts! Not all places truly address that and care so much about how your smile will look decades after braces. They also finished my treatment before I entered high school which was amazing because no one wants to go to high school prom with braces. The staff is so friendly and make scheduling easy. They even give you a note to bring into school if you have to miss school for an appointment. Even though having braces is no fun, they made it 100% worth it. Years later, my teeth are still perfectly straight and I have gotten compliments even! Their work amazes me!

It bother me that I have to give my visit a 1 star rating. I decided to get a consultation here based on the great ratings that the office have on the website. When I first walked up the lady never looked up to acknowledge me. After about 20-30 seconds the lady on the other side of her asked if I needed to be checked in.. NO ACKNOWLEDGMENT or greeting still from the front desk receptionist whom never looked up. The staff wasn't pleasant at all. No smiles and it was very uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Even the last lady that went over the billing with me didn't greet me she just came in and started giving me a breakdown on prices. Im really big on good customer service as I work in the medical field and a simple smile ESPECIALLY if you're in the dental industry will go a long way.

The doctor was very professional. I went in to let him look at my plastic retainer to see if it needed to be fixed or replaced. He said it was in good shape and did not charge me anything. He could have easily charged me $500.00.

Most unprofessional place I've ever been to. The staff was rude and spoke to me like I was a child. I got braces here and they made my teeth look worse than they did before. Would not ever recommend this place.

Having 5, (myself included) in different phases of braces, we are truly thankful for Dr. Werner, Dr. Scott, and the entire staff at both the Collierville, and Memphis offices. Everyone does an amazing job at making our family feel welcome, explaining procedures, answering questions, and just overall making our family feel wanted in their office. Having a large family with children of a wide range of ages, it is difficult to get our family seen together, and they do an amazing job at trying to accommodate our family size. I could not imagine trying to navigate this process anywhere else! Thank you all for making this process as smooth as possible!
