My son Ryan got his wisdom teeth extraction surgery last week with Dr. Vuu and wow! What a great experience all around it was. Starting from the consult to the surgery date and post op. Dr. Vuu's knowledge and skills shows in his work. He took the time to talk and explain the procedure to Ryan and us. The day of surgery ryan was nervous but it was over in no time. Dr. Vuu gave us all the instructions and let us know he did great. His use of high quality materials and home care made Ryans recovery even that much more comfortable. Post -op went great and he showed Ryan's home care. Ryan's review: Dr. Vuu is a cool dude. Highly recommend memorial maxillofacial & oral surgery for wisdom extraction or other oral surgery needs.

I had a terrible toothache and urgently needed an Oral Surgeon. The front desk was so kind and understanding, she immediately made an appointment for me for the same day. Once there, the dental assistant made me feel comfortable and when I met the dentist, I knew I was in the right place! The staff thoroughly explained everything through the whole process so I would know what to expect. This is a well organized, caring office and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I highly recommend Dr. Vuu. I recently came in to remove my wisdom teeth. He was very professional and had great bedside manner. He explained the procedure very well during my consultation and put me at ease about the recovery process and anticipated pain. I know every mouth is different and everyone has a different recovery rate, but I really believe that because of Dr. Vuu's skill, I did not have a bad experience removing my wisdom teeth. Highly recommend him and if I need an oral surgeon again in the future, he is my first choice.

I was very nervous about getting my back molar extracted but Dr Vuu and his team immediately put me at ease. They were highly professional but also very warm and friendly. The extraction was over before I knew it. No swelling or pain afterwards. Minimal bleeding. I wanted to high five him! I felt like I had won a game. I can only say that if you need an extraction then go to the best oral surgeon in Houston, Dr Thai Vuu.

I would highly recommend Dr. Vuu for oral surgeries. In fact, I already recommended him to a friend, and her surgery went well as well. I had a pretty complicated case where both of my bottom wisdom teeth were severely impacted and close to the nerves. I visited another oral surgeon years ago, and I wasn't confident in the doctor I met then. However, Dr. Vuu was different. During the consultation, he explained it to me very well about my wisdom teeth positions, what the game plan would be, and different options I had. Not only did the surgery went super smooth and successful, but also I didn't experience any pain during the healing process (following the instructions provided by Dr. Vuu). He is an awesome doctor, and I am so glad that I finally extracted my wisdom teeth under his care!

My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed at this practice with Dr. Vu and it could not have been a more pleasurable experience! The entire office is helpful and thorough and the process was seamless! Highly recommend this practice!!! Will return in the future with my younger daughter when it is her turn!

I came here for a 3rd opinion on a wisdom tooth extraction, after 2 previous consultations at different practices (both highly rated) left me uneasy, especially the second practice which I felt had some ethical issues. Anyway, Memorial was fantastic. Wait time upon arrival for my appointment was less than 5 minutes, unlike the other practices where I waited over an hour past my appointment time. My consultation with Dr. Caroline was great. Unlike, the previous two practices, she took the time to listen to my concerns and expressed an empathy that was missing in my previous appointments at the other practices. Dr. Vuu performed my extraction and it could not have been better. I came in expecting cutting, sawing, stitching up. None of that was needed. By taking a little extra time, Dr. Vuu was able to minimize the trauma and so far, I have very little discomfort or swelling. I would be remiss if I didn't mention their assistant, Sharon, who was fantastic, as well! Everybody in the front office was polite, efficient and helpful with everything. Overall, I couldn't have been more pleased.

On their website, they claim that Dr. O'Shell is the best and I can enthusiastically say, he is! I recently had a great experience with he and his staff... and that might sound pretty odd, since who really likes to go to the dentist, especially for an extraction! I had a full upper implant and I can say I was fairly terrified; but he made me feel at ease (as ease as one can feel). He is very professional but friendly and will take the time to answer any questions or concerns you may have. You do not feel he is in any kind of a rush (even though the waiting room is full of people). My son accompanied me to his office on San Felipe the day of surgery and sat in the waiting room while the procedure was done. On the hour, without fail, one of his staff gave him an update which he greatly appreciated - it set his mind at ease. I was made comfortable, numbed up, and the procedure began. I don't remember most of the day - its somewhat foggy but was sent home still feeling no pain and my anxiety had totally disappeared. To my surprise, I had very little swelling, no bruising at all and I attribute this to his gentleness and finess in removing the teeth and placing five implants. Surprrse, surprise, he called that evening to inquire how I was doing (what surgeon does that - very few)!I His staff was very caring as well. I really don't like anyone messing with my mouth, but I will open up for him any day. Thank you, Dr. O'Shell, for being such a great dentist and human being !

DR. MICHAEL V. O'SHELL, DDS was very caring and understanding towards me during my visit. He extracted two Molars which was absolutely painless and for which I am very grateful. I was in severe pain and very nervous of the surgery to begin with. But he took the time to talk to me through the procedures and calm me down. Update: After posting this review the office called me and we resolved the charges to my satisfaction. We had a good experience with the surgery and care afterwards but had residual problems with billing. We were quoted an original price, with an estimate of what our insurance would cover. Then it was revised (with us paying an additional $500. On the surgery day we paid 100% of what we were told our cost would be. Six months later, we get a bill for an additional $325. After calls with the office and insurance company, were told it's an insurance mixup, don't pay it. Then weeks later another bill for $250. The initial consults and xrays were not covered, but we were never told about that up front. I am not in the mood to spend hours on the phone with the insurance company and doctor's office. It seems like they should have done a better job on the cost estimates and follow ups.

Installed a screw upper right side in record time. Uncomfortable but did not hurt. Explained what he was going to do and about how long it would take. If I must have another one installed I would go back to them.
