Dr. Jimmy Nguyen has over a decade of experience in family and artistic dentistry. As a general dentist, he offers oral health therapies for every stage of life, whether its preventative care for children or full mouth reconstruction with dental implants for a retiree.
Growing up, Dr. Nguyen was always good with his hands. He enjoyed hobbies like drawing and painting. As he gravitated toward a career in dentistry, he brought that artistic talent with him. He chose to attend dental school at USC due to its reputation and close vicinity to where he grew up in Orange County. While in school he enjoyed the small-group problem-based learning program, which allowed dental students to perform independent research and learning outside of traditional classroom models.
Dr. Nguyen takes a number of continuing education courses each year, particularly those associated with new techniques and cosmetic restorations. His goal is to provide restorative care thats realistic as possible, so that it doesnt look as if the patients teeth have actually had work done to them.
The most fulfilling part of my career is taking someone out of pain and helping them feel comfortable again. Their problem is gone and Im able to restore their smile back into an accessory that theyre happy with.
Dr. Nguyen and his wife, Diane, married in 2015. In 2020 they welcomed the birth of their first daughter! When Dr. Nguyen isnt spending time with his family, he enjoys playing pickup basketball with his friends, watching the Lakers, drawing and painting.
