In 2015, Dr. Theresa Mellion-Minter, daughter of Dr. Nick, joined Mellion Orthodontics. Dr. Theresa provides orthodontic treatment for both children and adults, including individuals that require special needs, cleft palate treatment, TMJ therapy, Invisalign treatment, and multidisciplinary care. She is committed to community involvement and enjoys participating in many professional organizations as well as serving on the craniofacialteam at Akron Childrens Hospital.
Dr. Theresa earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicineat Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in 2013 after receiving her bachelors in economics from Denison University in 2009.In 2015, she earned her Master of Science in orthodontics from Saint Louis University. She is a member of the Stark County Dental Society and an associate member of the Akron Dental Society.
The family practice of Mellion Orthodontics has been providing care to this community for more than three decades. A native of Akron, Dr. Nicholas Mellionopened his orthodontic practice in 1980, and was joined in 2010 by his son, Dr. Nathan, and in 2015 by his daughter, Dr. Theresa.

Dr. Nick received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at The Ohio State University in 1978. He earned his masters in orthodontics fromSaint Louis University in 1980.Dr. Nick is a past president of the Saint Louis University Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation and, along with Dr. Nate and Dr. Theresa, belongs to the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Cleveland Society of Orthodontists, and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics.
