In 2010, Dr. Nathan Mellion, son of Dr. Nick, joined the practice. Dr. Nate provides orthodontic treatment for both children and adults, including individuals that require special needs, cleft palate treatment, TMJ therapy, and multidisciplinary care. Dr. Nate is committed to supporting the communities while also participating in many professional organizations and serving on the craniofacialteam at Akron Childrens Hospital.
Dr. Nate earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at The Ohio State University in 2008 after obtaining his bachelors in economics from Denison University in 2004.In 2010, he was awarded his masters in orthodontics from Saint Louis University. He is a member of the Stark County Dental Society, and an associate member of the Akron Dental Society.
Dr. Nate and his wife Tana, a nurseanesthetist at Akron General Hospital, live in Jackson Township with their two sons, Andrew and Brandon. Dr. Nate enjoys golfing, fly fishing, and spending time with his family.
In 2015, Dr. Theresa Mellion-Minter, daughter of Dr. Nick, joined Mellion Orthodontics. Dr. Theresa provides orthodontic treatment for both children and adults, including individuals that require special needs, cleft palate treatment, TMJ therapy, Invisalign treatment, and multidisciplinary care. She is committed to community involvement and enjoys participating in many professional organizations as well as serving on the craniofacialteam at Akron Childrens Hospital.
Dr. Theresa earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicineat Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in 2013 after receiving her bachelors in economics from Denison University in 2009.In 2015, she earned her Master of Science in orthodontics from Saint Louis University. She is a member of the Stark County Dental Society and an associate member of the Akron Dental Society.
The family practice of Mellion Orthodontics has been providing care to this community for more than three decades. A native of Akron, Dr. Nicholas Mellionopened his orthodontic practice in 1980, and was joined in 2010 by his son, Dr. Nathan, and in 2015 by his daughter, Dr. Theresa.

Dr. Nick received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at The Ohio State University in 1978. He earned his masters in orthodontics fromSaint Louis University in 1980.Dr. Nick is a past president of the Saint Louis University Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation and, along with Dr. Nate and Dr. Theresa, belongs to the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Cleveland Society of Orthodontists, and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics.

My son just got his braces so we have a long road ahead of us but the staff at Mellion makes me feel very confident that we made the right choice for orthodontics. They are very friendly, helpful and experienced. I know my son is in good hands and I can't wait to see his beautiful smile when they're finished!

I saw Dr Nate and Debbie was the coordinator they were both wonderful! Debbie walked me through all the steps and explained to me what she was going to do before she did them. Dr Nate took his time and explained everything to me in detail and was understanding of the pain i was in due to my tmj. I am so glad my dentist referred me to this practice. I look forward to working with them to improve my smile and tmj.

Mellion Orthodontics is wonderful! Dr. Nate offered new imaging technology instead of impressions for my son. My son was extremely worried about impressions due to his sensitive gag reflex. Dr. Nate and the staff went above and beyond to make sure my son was comfortable!

My daughter had her molds made for her braces. Sandy was great-quick and efficient. My son also had and appointment and they got him in early so we were not sitting in the waiting room. Dr. Nate is always so pleasant. The staff there is great!
