Dr. Melissa Rivera was raised in San Juan, Texas. She attended and graduated from PSJA Bears High School. She received her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas-Pan American (UTRGV). Dr. Rivera received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2003 from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Rivera opened her dental practice in San Juan, Texas in 2004. It had been her dream since she was 12 years old, to one day become a dentist and open a practice in her hometown. She takes great pride in serving the community that helped mold her into the person she is today.
Dr. Rivera is a member of the ADA, AGD, TDA, TAGD and the Rio Grande Valley Academy of General Dentistry. She previously served several terms on the board of the Rio Grande Valley Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Rivera was nominated for the Texas New Dentist of the Year Award in 2009. She has also been awarded The Monitors Readers Choice Award for favorite dentist and Business Education Partnership Award for her work as a mentor with the PSJA ISD.
Dr. Claudia Rivera was born and raised in McAllen, Texas. She attended McAllen Memorial High School and the University of Texas Pan American. She received her academic degree of doctor of dental surgery from University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. Dr. Claudia Rivera is a member of the Dentists Who Care organization and frequently donates her time on their mobile dental unit to serve the children of The Valley.

Super amazing dentists Mrs. Melissa, Mrs. Claudia and super awesome staff. Love this office. These dentists are professional, comforting, informative and help you with your dental issues. Gaby (dental hygienist) cleans my teeth perfectly well. Very good job. The office staff is courteous and very helpful. Look forward to and am comfortable coming to my dental appts. here.

Absolutely the best! My children & I have been patients for 14 years & will never change. Phenomenal staff, always friendly, appointments are always honored & on time! Amazing service & always caring from the moment you get the phone call for your appt reminder till you walk out! I've never been in a dental / medical office where you always feel welcomed & cared for!

We always feel welcomed here. Everyone from the front desk receptionist to when you walk out to pay. We have been coming here for about 11 years I believe and not once have we experienced anything negative. We walk in with a smile and walk out with a smile.

We have been coming here for about a year. Switched dentist to start and receive services with Dr Melissa and Dr Claudia, best decision I made. My 3 daughters are extremely happy coming here. They feel a lot more at ease. Staff is great, excellent service.

Our whole family gets seen at Dr Melissa Riveras office. Our boys really like the staff and the goodie bag they get after their treatment. We have been coming to this Dentist office for about 10 years now and we have zero complains. All the staff is always professional and friendly.
