Dr. Robert W. Allen received his B.S. in Biology from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Louisiana State University. Dr. Allen is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and is Invisalign certified. Dr. Allen has always wanted to be a dentist and help people. He enjoys getting to know his patients and ensuring they have a positive and comfortable experience
Dr. Steven Blackburn earned his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Dallas. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry graduating first in his class. After practicing for three years as a general dentist, Dr. Blackburn entered the orthodontic residency program at the University of Detroit Mercy earning both a M.S and a certificate in orthodontics. Dr. K. Scott Williams is originally from Commerce, Texas. He completed his undergraduate work at Texas A&M University before receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Dental Branch Houston. Composite (tooth-colored) Fillings:Also known as bonding, composite fillings are now widely used instead of amalgam (silver) fillings to repair teeth with cavities, and also to replace old defective fillings. Dental Implants:Dental implants are artificial roots that are surgically placed into the jaw to replace one or more missing teeth. Porcelain crowns, bridges, and dentures can be made specifically to fit and attach to implants, giving a patient a strong, stable, and durable solution to removable dental appliances.
Orthodontics:Less visible and more effective brackets and wires are making straightening teeth with orthodontics much more appealing to adult patients. Also, in some cases, teeth may be straightened with custom-made, clear, removable aligners that require no braces.

All of the staff are very friendly and professional. I go myself and took my boys ages 6 and 3 for their very first appts. Everyone was very sweet and patient with them both. Would recommend this practice to everyone!! Great for the whole family!!!

The whole family goes here. Always done a good job on the kids teeth and a awesome job on mine.(They've needed some work done..lol). Doctors are good. Front staff, leo and Sabrina really nice and helpfull.

Took my kids there for the first time today for their exam and cleaning as we moved here from out of state and needed to find a new dentist. They were amazing! The whole entire staff was so nice and friendly. Dr Allen did an amazing job with my kids and was even able to do their fillings and sealants in the same appointment which was so nice and convenient. We were so impressed that my husband and I made appointments to be seen as well and I am super terrified of the dentist!

What a wonderful orthodontist and staff at this location. They were very helpful especially since we just moved back & my daughter lost her retainers. We didn't have an ortho here but they took us in as soon a possible within a week. They work with you on the cost too!

I've been coming here since 2020 (I think? lol) for regular dental cleanings and check ups, and eventually got a set of braces with them as well in 2021. There's not a single negative thing I can say about this place! I love this office and it's staff so much, they literally have such a special place in my heart. Every person there, especially Leo, is so kind, sweet, gentle, and helpful. Both the dental and orthodontic sides run so smoothly and are staffed with seriously amazing people. Communication amongst staff is superb, patient paperwork/records always seem to be in order and very clear across the board, so anyone (including me) can read it and understand my treatment, so there's never any confusion between staff. The office itself is always spotless and squeaky clean, and every room is always stocked with everything the hygienists/doctors need, which keeps appointments speedy and on time. The staff members also still wear their masks all day, which is just another way they show how much they care about the well-being of their patients. Any questions I've ever had concerning my oral health or orthodontic treatment have always been answered quickly and thoroughly. I've never left this office feeling unsure about my treatment. I always feel 100% cared about and taken care of here. It warms my heart so much to walk into the office and have all of the front desk staff recognize me, greet me with big smiles, and check me in without me even having to saying a word. I've been to many different dentists and orthodontists all around DFW looking for a perfect fit for me for a literal DECADE and I've definitely found it here. I've never experienced an office as great as this one. This place is seriously the best around! I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone, but especially anyone who has had negative experiences with dentists/orthodontists in the past (like me). I promise this office will change your perspective (Just wanted to add that I didn't write this review to earn some type of reward/gift like a gift card or a discount off my treatments, I'm writing this because they truly deserve it. These are my true, honest, and unbiased opinions)

Good 1st appointment. Leo and others in reception area were friendly and efficient. I think that Dr. Allen figured out what my problem is. He took time to explain the problem and options to me. I am glad I chose Melissa Dental.
