Dr. Brett B. Melgosa was born and raised in Merced, California. Being the first in his immediate family to attend college, he received Bachelors degrees in Business Administration, BiologicalScience, and Chemistry from CSU Stanislaus in Turlock, CA. He graduated among the top of his class in all fields.
After working 5 years as an Officer for the Merced County Probation Department, Dr. Melgosa pursued his interest in the health field. He received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, graduating with high honors (Magna Cum Laude). Following graduation he attended the prestigious California Implant Institute in San Diego, CA where he found a passion for implants. Most recently he became the second youngest member in history of the International Academy of Dental Implantology where he received his training from renown Harvard Implantologist Dr. Sam Lee.
He specializes in all facets of dentistry including, but not limited to, implants, oral surgery, dentures, root canals, CAD CAM dentistry, adult and children's dentistry, and TMJ therapy. He is an ongoing member of the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Stanislaus Dental Society.
For Dr. Melgosa, cosmetic and family dentistry is both a passion and an art form. He strives for perfection with each patient, and focuses on designing restorations that look and feel natural. He has made it a personal mission to create an environment that caters to dental phobics, or any apprehensive or fearful patient.
Outside of work, Dr. Melgosa dedicates himself to helping others with similar upbringings. He takes great pride in motivating young minds that may limit their potential for success due to a negative environment. His hobbies are riding motorcycles, working out, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Melgosa is amazing!! He does beautiful work, has a great personality and makes even the not so great reasons to be at the dentist painless. His staff is wonderful and everyone makes you feel welcome. His office is clean and has so much modern technology. I highly recommend Dr. Melgosa!!!

I went to Melgosa Dental for a 2nd opinion about a tooth after an accident, and wish I wouldn't have waited! I called for an appointment Thursday and got an appointment that next Monday. The staff was absolutely comfortable to talk to and Dr. Melgosa was very thorough and honest when it came to what needed to be done and explaining everything. Even got a temporary fix done that day (which the 1st dentist did not even offer). I suffered with eating soups and sporadic pain just when I'd smile for almost 2 weeks until this visit! I am one that avoids the dentist as much as I can, but the office was a comforting environment! Will definitely be back!

Dr. Melgosa offers the closest to pain free dentistry I have aver experienced. I will be moving and I am trying to figure out how I can travel to Turlock from Oxnard for his skills in dentistry. He is patient, kind and easy on the eyes for this Senior Citizen. The office staff, hygienists and dental assistants are all excellent as well. He is very busy so if you need a dentist right away you might have to wait a little while. I was there on Tuesday and able to be seen on Monday. They work extremely well as a team for the benefit of all patients.
