A native of Plymouth, MN, Dr. Meister attended and graduated from Minnesota schools. An alumnus of Gustavus Adolphus College, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a major in Biology and a minor in Spanish. While at Gustavus, she was able to study a semester in Madrid, Spain.
She completed dental school at the University of Minnesota where she spent a semester as a dental exchange student in Lima, Peru at the private dental school, Cayetano Heredia. Her educational experiences in Peru and Spain have helped her to communicate with many of our Spanish-speaking patients and their families.
Dr. Meister completed a 2-year Masters degree program in TMJ and Craniofacial Pain at the University of Minnesota and has worked at the Minnesota Head and Neck Pain Clinic. She then completed her 2-year specialty training in Orthodontics at the University of Minnesota to obtain her specialty certificate in orthodontics.
Dr. Meister is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. She is also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Minnesota Association of Orthodontists as well as many other professional organizations and study clubs.
Dr. Abby Syverson was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She attended George Washington University in Washington DC where she completed her bachelors degree and was captain of the varsity volleyball team. She received her Doctor in Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia where she received various academic, clinical, and research awards. Dr. Syverson graduated in the top of her class and was inducted into the Matthew Cryer Honor Society as well as the nationally prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. She continued her Ivy League training at Penn where she completed her residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. During residency she was recognized for her excellence in clinical care with the Rouff Orthodontics Scholarship Award.
Dr. Syverson is excited to be back in the Twin Cities and provide superb orthodontic care to the St. Paul community. She believes improving your smile can be transformative and loves to learn about the person behind the smile. While not in the office, Dr. Syverson enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, cooking, and being outdoors. You might find her biking along the Mississippi or at a park with her daughter.

We offer a wide array of orthodontic services, including Invisalign, metal braces and clear ceramic braces to patients in St. Paul, Minnesota as well as the surrounding communities of Minneapolis, Roseville and Mendota Heights. All of our assistants are Board Registered and Certified by the State of Minnesota. Our staff is required to complete 25 hours of continuing education every two years to maintain their licensure.
