After receiving his degree from the Governmental Dental College of Ahmedabad, India in 1976, Dr. Ashok Mehta was licensed to practice dentistry in California in 1980. Over three decades of experience has propelled him to open 4 unique practices throughout Los Angeles County and Orange County. Throughout his career, Dr. Mehta has continued to be active in the dental community. As a former President of the Harbor Dental Society and former Vice President of the Indian Dental Association of Southern California, he has shown his leadership and commitment to the field of dentistry. Dr. Mehta was also a part-time clinical faculty member at the Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. He is experienced in all modern aspects of dentistry including cosmetic dentistry (full mouth rehabilitation), oral surgery, implants, endodontics, prosthodontics, Invisalign & veneers.

Dr. Bijal Mehta grew up in Orange County before achieving his Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion & Disease Prevention Studies at the University of Southern California (USC). After graduating college, he attended the prestigiousOstrow School of Dentistry of USC where he served as the Class President.
He was recognized by the American College of Dentists, The Dental Foundation of California and The Ostrow School of Dentistry for leadership, scholastic and clinical performance, ideals, character, and potential impact on the profession of dentistry.
Dr. Bijal Mehta went on to achieve his MBA from the prestigiousUCLA Anderson School of Management.During his free time, he enjoys traveling, watching the Lakers, playing basketball & spending time with his family & friends.

I've struggle to find a good place to get my teeth cleaned ,Mehta Dental Group is by far the best place.They are super professional ,knowledgeable and very honest with you which is something that I appreciate.They do my clean up ,I've had a root canal and a crown put on and it looks so natural such an amazing job. Facility is super clean and the staff is just as amazing.I highly recommend this place.

Started coming here because I had a tooth break during shelter in place and they were one of the few practices open. I've gotten very good service here with attentive support staff and very gentle dentists. 10/10 would recommend

Mehta Dental Group has to be one of the cleanest, most professional, and welcoming dental practices that I've ever been to. I've been coming to this dental office for probably 3 years now, and each time the staff is always so friendly, the doctors are top notch, and the office is always very clean. The dentists and staff are always thorough, tell you exactly what they're doing, and what it costs, so there are never any surprises when it comes time to pay the bill. Not to mention, they are experts at what they do - I've never left in any pain. Five stars all around!

The ladies at this Mehta dental office were so lovely. We were anxious to get back to the dentist after a much needed visit for my 11 year old. Ingrid at the front receptionist desk was very helpful and walked us through everything. Also Dr. Saber was so accommodating and helped my son feel comfortable through his cleaning and a couple tooth extractions. Thank you too all the ladies in the office for helping us today and we will be back to treat the whole family!!

I came to mehta dental group with a swollen face and bad infection. From the first call to the moment i walked into the office, the office staff was absolutly great. 100 percent careing and attentive. Soft music in the background,family feeling atmosphere.i love mehta dental group. Tooth is out, infection gone and heeling well. Thank you thank you thank you.

Love everyone at this office, from the receptionist, dentists and dental assistants! Everyone is so kind! I'm terrified of the dentist but this office has been so accommodating and understanding. Every visit I've had has been top notch and so gentle. I'm seriously no longer terrified! Also, parking is super easy and the office is always so clean! Can't say enough about them!! Highly recommend!

Dr Mehta was very good and patient in the removal of my tooth. Because I let my tooth infection go on for 6 months it was difficult removing the tooth causing more pain than normal after the removal. I was fine the next day. When I came back to have the abutment put in it went very smoothly and no pain afterwards. I was able to eat the same day. I would recommend him.

The team at Metha Dental are awesome, thanks to them my teeth are like new, they thought me how to take care of my gum and life spam of my teeth(after me not goingto the dentistfor like 8 years), the cleaning process was a great experience coming from someone that it's hard to be still for a period of time, even though they took no more than mentioned, I'm for sure going back to them for more cleaning and I trust them.

Mehta Dental Group is far best dental work I've efer had. Especially since I hate going to the dentist like most people. I've been going here for over a year for my dental work and they never disappoint ! The staff is amazing! Always welcoming and Dr Mehta is an amazing dentist! He always knows how to make you feel comfortable when nervous! He tends to crack jokes to ease the tension while he does his thing haha I definitely recommend Mehta Dental Group for any dental work!

I initially went to Mehta Dental for a checkup and had no pain or real issues. My initial visit was supposed to be an hour. After three hours of x-rays, poking and incompetent evaluation I was given an estimate of $8,215 worth of work. Because I couldn't afford to do all the work he claimed I needed at once, we decided to start with just a crown replacement. I made an appointment for the following week for the dental impression. Again, what should have been a quick procedure took over 4 hours because his staff was just not able to get a correct impressions. After a frustrating visit and a $1,000 charge, I left his office with my temporary crown. I got a call a week later from his office telling me I needed to come back because the lab was not able to use the impressions they took. So I went back. This time the visit was a short two hours with Dr. Mehta finally doing the impression himself. A couple of weeks later, I got a call that my crown was ready. I went back to his office and the crown was too high. He went to trim the crown and trimmed it too short, so unbelievably, I had to do the impression again. Some two months after my first visit, I finally had what I thought would be my permanent crown. A week after it was fitted, the pain started. It began on a Saturday afternoon and by Saturday evening, it was unbearable. I had to call an emergency dentist who prescribed antibiotics and painkillers. I also made an emergency appointment with Dr. Mehta for Monday morning. At my Monday morning visit, another dentist from his office took some x-rays, saw an infected nerve in the tooth with the crown and recommended an endodontist for a root canal. Having had enough of Dr. Mehta's office and his recommendations, I opted to go somewhere else for my root canal. My daughter sent me to her dentist, and he performed an emergency root canal. I would also require a new crown. Turns out that my new dentist is competent and was able to redo the poor work of Dr. Mehta quickly and correctly. I just had my permanent crown put in (three months after this ordeal began) and had my new dentist do a complete work up. Turns out I don't need any more work, and that I most likely didn't need the initial crown replaced. When I contacted Dr. Mehta about my issues, all he offered was to redo the shoddy work on my crown. I had no faith in him or his office so I declined.
