After receiving his degree from the Governmental Dental College of Ahmedabad, India in 1976, Dr. Ashok Mehta was licensed to practice dentistry in California in 1980. Over three decades of experience has propelled him to open 4 unique practices throughout Los Angeles County and Orange County. Throughout his career, Dr. Mehta has continued to be active in the dental community. As a former President of the Harbor Dental Society and former Vice President of the Indian Dental Association of Southern California, he has shown his leadership and commitment to the field of dentistry. Dr. Mehta was also a part-time clinical faculty member at the Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. He is experienced in all modern aspects of dentistry including cosmetic dentistry (full mouth rehabilitation), oral surgery, implants, endodontics, prosthodontics, Invisalign & veneers.

Dr. Bijal Mehta grew up in Orange County before achieving his Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion & Disease Prevention Studies at the University of Southern California (USC). After graduating college, he attended the prestigiousOstrow School of Dentistry of USC where he served as the Class President.
He was recognized by the American College of Dentists, The Dental Foundation of California and The Ostrow School of Dentistry for leadership, scholastic and clinical performance, ideals, character, and potential impact on the profession of dentistry.
Dr. Bijal Mehta went on to achieve his MBA from the prestigiousUCLA Anderson School of Management.During his free time, he enjoys traveling, watching the Lakers, playing basketball & spending time with his family & friends.

I was a patient for couple of years the past two visits their service their service is been deteriorating over the years. In my visit today my appointments was at 4 pm got the at 3:45 took me in right away took the X-Rays but the wait to see Dr. Mehta it was over 1 hour he come in review the X-rays and when away to help other patients waited another hour and I decided to leave after 2 hours because he was busy with another patient they did not know how long it was gonna take. The staff is great but you need another Dr. to help out

Third class service. Went over there on 07/30/2020 using my Dentical insurance. It's been 18 days, Dr mehta hasn't sent the request to the insurance company and I am still stuck in the middle of the month, all of my time is wasted. Very lazy staff. They submitted my Authorization very late so that they make me pay in from my pocket, instead they charging me by my insurance. Crystal was supposed to send me my x rays by email yesterday, she thinks I was born yesterday, very laid back, very lazy lady, I called her in the morning yesterday to send me all the x rays by end of the day yesterday, I had to make four calls for this yesterday, she didn't take me seriously and till today i did not receive my X rays. Very bad third clas on them. 07/18/22 update - I went to this Dental group to get my teeth cleaned, the dentist who cleaned my teeth was doing it without an assistant. The receptionists specially the lady with darker skin complexion has a lot of attitude, treats patients like cattle. Also did not provide the paperwork I signed. I had to literally stand over there and shout on them to get a copy of the paperwork I signed. The dentist were cleaning the teeth without any assistance. They are doing fraud by making me sign on a paper that I have gum disease when I do not, probably just to collect money from the insurance company.

I have had bad experiences in the past with dentists so I have neglected my teeth. This visit couldn't have been better. Let them know of my apprehension and they made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I had a tooth extraction and felt no pain they were done very quickly.

I have not been to the dentist in a while and came in for a cracked tooth, to say the least that was just the beginning of my problems. They were so kind and helpful in explaining what needed to be done. Everyone was so exceptional and professional and Dr. Bijal is the absolute best!

Glad I came in for a new night guard, it feels weird when I'm not wearing it now. The assistant who took my impression was also very nice.

Mehta Dental Group is a very friendly place, that addressed a few dental issues that I had. This is a far cry from the previous Dentist Office (Bright Now Corona) that I went to. Bright Now is like that one person who always has bad news when they talk to you. Some bad news with no solutions. Ain't nobody got time for that. Mehta Dental Group in Brea is the place with the solutions.

All I have to say is WOW! This office is amazing. Words can't even express the professionalism Dr. Bijal Mehta and his entire staff at the Brea location showed my mother during her initial consultation. From the moment we walked into the door to the moment we left, everyone was so professional and didn't push and unnecessary dental work. My mother hates going to the dentist and is very stubborn. Dr. Mehta was so kind, genuine, knowledgeable, and thorough during her exam and really made her feel comfortable. Absolutely loved this office!
