My fiance and I decided we would invest in our smiles and decided on trying Invisalign. I used Invisalign twenty years ago and the results were awesome! Unfortunately, I lost my final retainers and my teeth slowly went back to their old way. So, I was excited to straighten my teeth out again and my fiance was REALLY excited to get her bottom teeth straight. Everything seemed to be fine after our initial consultation. We received our first sets of aligners and the treatment began. Then everything went downhill fast. I was a bit concerned that Meehan and Johnson failed to respond to phone calls and began cancelling appointments. Months would go by without any follow up as we waited for our next appointments which never happened. My fiance' has been waiting for her last set of aligners for 9 months. After finally reaching our tipping point we went to Meehan and Johnsons office to personally discuss our concerns. We were shocked to hear my fiance's aligners were available and they've had them since June! I'm writing this on Feb 28. Unbelievable! However, they were unable to schedule an appointment for her because Dr. Johnson was "unavailable" indefinitely. Ummm... you've got to be kidding! Nope. Not a joke. So, we asked to see Dr. Meehan but, apparently Dr. Meehan doesn't treat patients in NH any more. I've been on a "treatment plan" through the dentist who referred me to Meehan and Johnson (Dr Nick Rizos) which includes his office, an oral surgeon and Dr. Johnson. Dr. Johnson failed time after time to stay on track and keep appointments so my "treatment plan" has been on hold. Similar to another lackluster review I read on here discussing how a patient had her teeth filed down, the same thing happened to my fiance'. She couldn't understand why they would file her teeth before the straightening was complete. She's very unhappy and frustrated that Dr. Johnson filed her teeth and made them look far worse than before. As for me, I was handed my aligners today with ZERO instruction and told Dr. Johnson was out indefinitely due to a personal injury. The moral of this story is Invisalign really works great but, Meehan and Johnson was possibly the worst choice of orthodontist we could've made. Nearly $10k spent for headache after headache dealing with this extremely unprofessional, unorganized, and dysfunctional office. Unless you enjoy retaining a lawyer to deal with getting what you pay for, I recommend finding another orthodontist.

So this review is long overdue but I just recently found out about the situation as it has been over 10 years since I went here. I went here when I was 16 for braces because I had a "snaggle" tooth on one side of my mouth and was super self conscious about it. The rest of my teeth I thought were fine but just really wanted to fix that one tooth. After some begging from my parents they agreed and brought me to get braces. Things were great at first, I had to have a tooth pulled because my mouth was crowded and we couldn't get that one tooth where it was supposed to be. No big deal, got the tooth pulled and then got the braces put on. My mom had made it very clear to Dr Mehan that she did not want my teeth altered at all besides you know the braces being put on and them straightening out. I think I only had the braces on for a little over a year, but after about 6-7 months my smile was beautiful! I loved it. My teeth looked awesome and I was very confident about my smile and was excited to get them off because lets face it, braces are not very comfortable, and figured since my teeth looked straight I should be getting them off soon. They ended up saying that I needed a couple more months which I thought okay no big deal I've made it this far. I remember a visit where they were in my mouth with some type of equipment which I assumed was like filing off some glue off some braces that had moved or something, I don't know I just went along with it because Dr Mehan told me it had to happen and again I was 16 so I trusted him to know what he was doing. A couple months later I got my braces off - how exciting right! Nope not that exciting. I noticed now that on the right side of my smile it was not straight, it was straight in the front but one side of my smile went up giving it the look that i had a crooked smile which my teeth were not like this before. I brought this up to Dr Mehan and he showed me that from the inside of my mouth looking up at the teeth the looked straight, I told him them being straight wasn't an issue my smile was clearly going up on one side. He suggested he put some hooks on the back teeth of that side and we would put rubber bands on it to try and "help pull my smile back down", which never ended up working. Ever since I've been self conscious of my smile. I recently brought it up to my mom that I still couldn't understand how I went from having a beautiful smile a few months prior to getting my braces off and then it all of a sudden be crooked. She informed me that Dr Mehan HAD FILED DOWN MY TEETH on that side, without permission of her and she had confronted him about it the day that he put the hooks in the back to try and "pull my smile down". My mother is not a confrontational person and wanted to protect me from being more self conscious than I already was as a young teenager so she never told me about it until recently, which I wasn't really pleased about I really wish I had known and I wished we had gone through with legal action as he went against my parents wishes AND FILED DOWN MY TEETH! So now I have to look into getting caps put on my teeth or something in order to fix my smile which costs a good chunk of cash that I do not have so probably won't happen for a while. For reference I have attached pictures showing my straight across smile with braces before the filing happened and a picture of my crooked smile now. I get that there are a lot of great reviews about this place but please just be careful and make sure he doesn't file your children's teeth down without your permission.

We brought my youngest daughter here after having a bad experience with another orthodontists (whom we used for our other three children). From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcomed. Everyone who works at this office is so nice! I can't say enough good things. My older daughter even brought my youngest for an appointment and complained that her retainer had broken and Dr. Johnson replaced it for free. She hadn't even been his patient. I would never go anywhere else and will continue to recommend this orthodontist to everyone I know.

Drs. Mehan and Johnson are so wonderful and do everything they can to make your teeth look gorgeous while keeping you comfortable throughout the process. I did both traditional braces and Invisalign through them and both were great. All of the staff and technicians are so welcoming and friendly. While I'm happy to be done with braces, I'll definitely be missing my visits to the office!

Several years ago I had braces through Dr. Mehan and overtime became lazy with my retainers. As a young adult, I decided that I wanted to fix a few teeth that had moved. Dr. Johnson was informative and did an awesome job listening to the results I had hoped for. I would highly recommend this Orthodontics office!

I'm currently going here to get my teeth aligned with braces. They provide a stupendous service. The staff are very friendly and make you feel "at home". I don't know if it was because of them, but my teeth felt no pain after any checkup. Their customer service is just the cherry on top to this amazing place. At any time, you can call and schedule a meeting with someone on the phone. It's simple, fast, and very convenient. Overall, this place is a must go to for any orthodontic needs.
