Dr. Stock (Ellis) is a true Pittsburgher (despite the fact that she was actually born in Cincinnati, OH). She attended St. Alphonsus grade school and Vincentian Academy here in the northern suburbs before obtaining her undergraduate degrees and doctorate in dental medicine from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Stock is actively involved in organized dentistry as a member of the American Dental Association, PA Dental Association, and local study clubs.
Dr. Stock appreciates the value in treating entire families under the same roof. She has treated patients ranging in age from one year old to those in their 90s and even 100s! She enjoys the blend of art and science that a career in general dentistry provides. She believes that everyone deserves a smile they are proud to show off, and providing her patients with those smiles brings a deep sense of satisfaction.
Dr. Stock is actively involved in her local and community by volunteering for Mission of Mercy Pittsburgh, setting up booths at local community days, and presenting to local schools and organizations.
Dr. Stock lives in McCandless with her husband, Gary, daughters, Madison and Lillian, their dog, Fenway, and cat, Boots. When she is not in the office, you will likely find her spending time with her friends and family, hiking on a nice day, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, or cheering on the Pens, Steelers, and Buccos!

I am so thankful that a friend referred our family to Dr. Stock. She is so kind, gentle, friendly and a great dentist! Our kids (4 and 7 as of this review) LOVE going to the dentist because of Dr. Stock's bedside manner. Debbie is a joy to talk to at the front desk and so helpful through scheduling and taking care of all the insurance.

I absolutely recommend Dr. Stock. I had to get a new dentist when mine retired. At first I went to a big practice but I always felt hustled. Another dentist and a friend recommended Dr. Stock. I needed a lot of work done-crowns, implant crowns, etc. I am very impressed with Dr Stock's knowledge, skill, and transparency. I have not had one issue with her work or her practice. She even offered a discount on crown if I paid by check. Also, she volunteers at the annual dental clinic in town-giving it away to The many people who cannot afford care.

I called Dr. Stock after 6 P. M. with an emergency situation freaking out. She immediately offered to come in early to help me. When I arrived I was extremely nervous, I really haven't had the best experiences with dentistry in the past. Once I sat in the chair Dr. Stock made me feel comfortable instantly. She was very attentive and made sure to explain step by step. During the entire visit I never felt any discomfort. She definitely is the best dentist I have ever had. After my visit I got to meet her staff who went above and beyond to be kind to me. If I could give this office more than 5 I would... Thank you again .

Dr. Stock is an excellent dentist. She explains everything that she is going to do and takes her time. Idk how she does it but her shots barely hurt at all! Her office is well-run and very comfortable. They make going to the dentist almost enjoyable!

I cannot believe it has taken me this long to write a review. If I had to choose one word to describe Dr. Stock, it would be integrity. Dentistry is a field built on trust between patient and doctor. So if you are looking for a practice to not only receive the highest standard of dental care, but also have a team that is looking out for your best interest, this is the one! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my family's care. Thank you, Dr. Stock and team!

I have been going to this practice for years and have always loved the staff. Dr. Stock was a great addition when she took over the practice. Fortunately I don't have dental issues. I recently took my mom to see Dr. Stock for many dental issues. Everyone was so warm and welcoming to my mom and made her feel very comfortable. She said it didn't hurt when she had fillings put in. She couldn't believe how gentle Elaine was when she cleaned her teeth. The ladies in this practice are a beautiful blessing. They make going to the dentist a joy! Outstanding care. Have never met a dentist as great, caring and honest as Dr Stock. Believe me, I've been to a lot of dentists! She and her staff are compassionate and caring. And they don't hurt you. Imagine, I was actually falling asleep during a root canal. No anesthesia either. I was just relaxed and she caused me no pain. She gives thorough explanations and shows you exactly what she's going to do. I am so glad I was referred to her by my daughter. I wish I would have gone to her sooner. Just glad to have her as my dentist now. Thank you Dr Stock.

Dr. Stock is awesome! If you're considering visiting Dr. Stock, I'd highly recommend her for all of your dental needs. I will most certainly be seeing her again! I had a botched filling done by another dentist that was giving me a lot of tooth pain / sensitivity shortly after it was completed. Every time I'd put pressure on it or hit it with something cold I would get a shot of lightning through my mouth. To complicate matters, I was also leaving the country within a week. Dr. Stock got me in the same day that I had called. She identified the problem quickly, and worked out the path toward resolution. She took the time to answer all of my questions, and she thoroughly explained my options. Since part of my procedure needed to be done by a specialist, she referred me to an excellent endodontist who quickly saw me and did a wonderful job. Afterwards, I visited Dr. Stock again to receive the final work on my tooth and now my tooth feels great. It looks identical to my other teeth, and I no longer have that excruciating tooth pain when I'm eating or drinking. The icing on the cake is that I now do not have to worry about 3rd rate dentistry in another country, nor be concerned that I would have further pain during the long plane ride -- those pressure differences can be brutal on a bad tooth. When I get home, I will definitely schedule my next appointment with her. She is an outstanding dentist.
