Dr. Jesse M. Medina attended the University of Puerto Rico for his undergraduate Bachelor in biology, andgraduated magna cum laudein1985. After obtaining his bachelors degree, he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in1989from the University of Puerto Rico Dental School.He graduatedin the top ten percent (5 out of66) of his class.
Dr. Medina continued his dental education with a general practice residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he received extensive training in the management ofpatients oftrauma, surgery, and oncology. He was an essentialmember of the hospital staff team whoworkedhand in hand with outstanding clinicians in the departments of oral and maxillofacial surgery and ear nose and throat.
He practiced general dentistry for nine years before resuming his postgraduate studies in orthodontics at the prestigious Columbia University in New York City, where he earned an advanced certificate in orthodontics in2000. Aresearcher in his field, Dr. Medina composed athesisin the area of dental adhesives. He investigated which ones offer greater bond strengths andresultedin fewerbroken appliances during the course of orthodontic treatment.
Dr. Medina is dedicated to his specialty through an ongoing continuing orthodontic and dental education. He believes in always furthering his own knowledge in the latest techniques in orthodontics. His professional affiliations include the American Association of Orthodontists, SouthwesternSociety of Orthodontists, and Texas Association of Orthodontists.

Linda does a little bit of everything at both of our locations, including payroll, new patient estimates, insurance filing, billing, and collections. She has many years of experience as the administrator for Dr. Medina, having started here in 2002. Linda loves meeting new patients and welcoming them into our orthodontic family.
Linda and Hector have been married since 2000. They have three beautiful girls who are competitive swimmers, so most of their free time is spent at the pool and traveling to swim meets. Linda does find time for gourmet cooking, baking, and entertaining friends and family. The family also has four dogs that enjoy trips outdoors and to the park.
Michelle has been a registered dental assistant for more than eight years now. She joined our team in 2015. Her sweet and funny disposition help the patients feel at ease. Michelle takes care of our patients orthodontic adjustments andtheir oral hygiene, and provides plaque control instructions.
In her free time, Michelle enjoys exercising by running outdoors and spending time with family and friends. She is originally from West Texas and made the adventurous move to San Antonio in 2008 with her husband and three children:Charisma, Autumn, and Chaseton.
Talia attended Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, Californiaand graduated from the dental assisting program in 2008. As one of our assistants, she creates a positive atmosphere for our patients while ensuring they receive quality care. Talia finds so much joy in seeing the beautiful smiles we create and the relationships that are built over the course of treatment. She shares with our team a desire and passion for our patients.
Talia has been married to her husband Robert for nearly a decade, and they have three beautiful children together. They enjoy spending time together, going to the park, movies, and amusement parks. They also attend Calvary Chapel regularly and love their fellowship with their church family.
Cori began working in the dental field in 2003. Shespenttime in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery before joining Dr. Medina in 2015. In addition to assisting at chairside and creating financial plans, Cori also works with the doctors to come up with the best treatment plan for each patient. Meeting new people and helping change their lives is what puts a smile on Coris face each and every day.
Cori and her husband Jeff have been married since 2015. They welcomed a beautiful daughter a year later and bought their first home three months after that. Although she doesnt have much free time, Cori does enjoy hiking, exercising, and shopping with her daughter.

We've had such a great experience with Medina! Both of my boys have been patients for years and we've referred several of our friends as well. Dr. Medina and her team have done wonders for my boys' teeth! The team is always friendly and willing to help. They've been especially great about working with us to schedule appointments that work around school and our busy lives. Carina at the front desk always greets us with a smile and makes us feel welcome. Highly recommended!!

Dr. Medina has treated now 3 of my daughters, we are on the 3rd and she has been a pretty difficult case. But Dr. Medina has been very patient, explaining every step of the way what needs to happens, even when we feel like it's "taking too long". We just have to trust the process. She is now almost 2 years in and the improvements in her mouth and teeth are a testament to the good and caring work that he and his staff provide. Melissa and Linda are always willing to accommodate our needs and work around scheduling and since we've been patients with them for around 5 or 6 years they all definitely feel like family!

As a 60-something year old woman, I was anxious about the whole process of braces, jaw surgery and implants. I needn't have been so apprehensive - Dr Medina and his entire staff were easy to work with, answered my questions and made everything very easy. From Linda and Melissa who arrange financing/payments and scheduling to the technicians Veronica, Janene, Irene and Jamie Lee to Dr Medina, it was a positive experience. Anything having to do with braces was always explained to my satisfaction. Dr Medina also worked with me to find oral surgery and implant options. I'm very happy with the outcome and equally as happy I chose Dr Medina and his staff.

Dr. Medina is an absolute angel. Very attentive! Professional. Truly concerned with individual patients needs. Sends various appointment reminds via text, voice and/or emails at the patients request. Keeps appointment times. Haven't waited more than 10 minutes to get in. Very accommodating. Worth the 150 mile drive without a doubt. Love, love, love the staff they are the best!
