Dr. Kimberly Carey was a phenomenal dentist! She walked me through my entire treatment plan very carefully and was even mindful of procedures which can get costly. Great bedside manner and gentle touch. Overall I really enjoyed my experience with media dentistry and would recommend to you

I would not recommend any honest or rational patient to go to this practice. They make up rules as they go to try and justify their expensive and medically unnecessary procedures. They will try to talk you in circles and not answer your questions. I had an appointment scheduled for months for a molar extraction. I was interested in getting an implant in the future. The price quoted for a dental implant was over $9,000 which was significantly above what I had heard costs around $5,000. Once I spoke with a few family members, they explained that all I needed off the bat was a tooth extraction, I could get bone grafting and an implant well after that if I wanted. I called Media Dental and told them I only wanted the extraction done, no bone grafting for an implant at this time. After this, they quoted the price of an extraction to be approximately $3,000 which seemed very high. I asked them for a breakdown of cost and they had bone grafting costs in for $2,000. They told me the graft must be done at the time of extraction repeatedly which is a flat out lie. Don't expect to be able to talk to your specialist before the procedure. I called in a week before my procedure to try to have a conversation with the dentist doing the work about things such as if I needed antibiotics before the procedure. They would not let me speak with the dentist that was to perform the procedure and would not have him call me back. I have always met/spoken with doctors before procedures are performed. When I asked them why I wasn't allowed to speak to the dentist they told me it was their policy. That can't be true because I have talked to dentists there in the past, specifically Dr. Kantner. Not being able to talk to the doctor doing the work beforehand should be a red flag to any potential patient. I had to drive to their office 2 days before surgery just to see a copy of the bill. Now it was down to $1,100. I saw bone grafting still listed and crossed it out, stating again I only wanted a tooth extraction and a normal dental dressing over top of it. The item I crossed out was titled "Bone Replacement Graft" for $750, while the extraction itself was priced at $350, more in line with what I thought an extraction would cost. I left there thinking we had everything resolved. Day of the procedure I came in having already provided a $500 required deposit. First thing they did was ask me for payment on the additional $600 of cost, I told them they owed me $150 because I did not want any bone grafting only the extraction and had told them that numerous times. It was as if I never came in two days before and explicitly went over the invoice with them. They literally denied the reality of 2 days before. The office was telling me that I had to get the bone grafting done at the time of extraction instead of waiting a few months. As anyone can google, this is inaccurate advice. I asked if I could speak with the dentist to better understand the medical reason why these procedures can't be performed separately and the dentist would not take any questions. It was the first time in my life I was told I couldn't speak to the doctor about my procedures. What the hell is going on here? I'm all ears with doctors but they couldn't give me 1 reason why they had to be done together, the extraction and the bone graft. After looking forward to getting this treatment, making a deposit, taking a PTO day from work, and clearing the exact procedure I wanted not less than two days before at their office, they sent me away and refused to treat me unless I got the expensive bone graft. If this isn't something your office does, why would you not have referred me to someone else months ago when I said I only wanted a tooth extraction? They could care less about disrupting their patients' expectations of service. The levels of dishonesty and incompetence here are horrendous. Patients deserve better. Neither I or anyone in my family will use Media Dental again. You've all been warned.

I was calling to schedule a new patient visit with a different dentist and end up calling media dental by accident. The receptionist was very nice and convinced me to come there. I schedule and had my first appointment yesterday. I received cleaning and a root canal. The dentist was very gentle and felt no pain and was at ease. The wait time to be seen was super fast. The staff was very friendly and detailed oriented. Please go to this dentist for treatment.

I brought my children ( age 13 and age 10 ) to the office for the first time on Friday - both needing check ups before going back to school. I was able to get an appt right away. Dr. Watson was amazing with my kids - they enjoyed their exams - which made me happy as a mother - learning at a young age that dental care is important is key. My previous office stated both my children needing fillings - after getting a full set of xrays at MDA - both kids are cavity free and it was a huge relief - I knew I could trust the team at MDA after they went over all the xrays with me in the room along with my kids. Mary - the hygienist went over oral care with both kids - making sure how to show them how to brush and especially how to floss correctly. My kids left with shiny clean teeth and BIG smiles. Thankful to have found their forever dental home.

I will not be returning and I would never recommend this dental office to anyone. My first visit, started out great I will admit I absolutely loved the doctor who took care of me, she was a huge reason why I choose to return there. However during my second experience with them I learned she no longer works there. My main reason for not returning though is they charged me $400 dollars by mistake and did not catch the mistake until 6 months later, after I already paid it, when I came in asking for detailed receipts of why I was charged that money. It also took multiple attempts of trying to retrieve this information before being told this. I kept being told I'd be called back or that things would be ready at my next appointment and it never happened. They also tried to tell me it would take up to two weeks before someone even called to collect my card information and issue my return, the whole experience was ridiculous and extremely unprofessional and I question if it truly even was a mistake because I was told two different versions of why I was ever billed in the first place. Also they can deny all they want that they don't bribe people for reviews but upon leaving from my first appointment with them I was asked to leave a review at check out & was told I'd be given a tooth brush for doing so. They claim in other reviews that it's a misunderstanding and the tooth brush is just a gift but that's not how they word it when you check out.

Everything about this practices gives off a bad impression. They upcharge patients for unnecessary dental work, and their high rating comes from the fact that they bribe people with Phillies Tickets and SUV giveaways to leave them good reviews and refer people to them. When I went the hygienist was very friendly but the Doctor and billing department were extremely pushy about me getting some kind of coating on my teeth that would cost hundreds of dollars and insurance didn't cover. Literally never heard of it and when I googled it later it was said to be "only somewhat effective". When I said no thank you, the doctor told me I would need three crowns to fix intense cavities with my teeth. He was looking at X-Rays that were over two years old, and all of the cavities he point to in the imagining had already been filled since then. It shocked me that he didn't catch that. I would have had thousands of dollars, and lots of pain for absolutely nothing if I had listened to him. When I asked to see the payment plan for crowns, the woman from the billing department said I wasn't allowed to have a copy of the proposed payment plan unless I agreed to it. When I asked her if I could take a photo of it, to go home and think on it some more she acted very defensive and taken aback. When I asked her some questions she again got very defensive and said "you tricked me into saying those things!" ......what? My insurance covers a dental cleaning every 6 months. Covers it 100% so I should pay nothing. But I got a bill in the mail for "dental hygiene education" during my visit. When I called the office they apologized and took it off the bill. Over all it gave the impression of a greedy and unethical practice who is trying to squeeze money out of their patients through dishonest means. I won't be back.

This place is the worst. After assuring us that everything was covered by our insurance, we get a surprise bill for over $300 for two routine exams. Do NOT go here. They cannot be trusted

My hygienist, Jenny Z. was awesome. Super friendly and constantly checking in during the cleaning to make sure I was ok. If she did something that caused pain, she would immediately apologize.

Extremely shady practice. I was lied to about an extraction and the other dentist I went to for a second opinion wanted the name of this place. He was angry that they would do something like this to make the industry look bad. To make matters worse Im being billed after making all payments to them with new statements.

WOW! I went for my first visit at media dental associates and I absolutely loved it ! The hygienist was so gentle, informative and helpful, I asked a lot of questions and she answered with ease and was very pleasurable to talk to. The front desk was very helpful and even let me come in earlier than the scheduled time, which worked great for me. The first time patient paperwork was a breeze and as a first time patient I was given a bag and a coffee cup, how nice is that?! The doctor took his time and didn't rush out of the room like some do. Overall was a great experience ! If you can get Jenny as your hygienist, DO IT. She is so friendly, helpful and gentle, she really made coming to the dentist a breeze.
