It is the policy of Meadville Medical Center and its subsidiaries to comply with the provisions of the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, to the end that no person shall, on the grounds of age, sex, race, color, religious creed, ancestry, disability/handicap, national origin, ability to pay or because a patient is covered by a program such as Medicaid or Medicare, be excluded from participation in, be denied benefits of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination in the provisions of any care or service. This non-discrimination policy applies to patients, visitors, physicians and staff.
Meadville Medical Center provides medical care without regard to gender, race, color, religion, sexual preference, income, education, nationality, ancestry, or who will pay your bill. The Stepping Stones Program at Meadville Medical Center (MMC) in Meadville, PA offers both residential and outpatient treatment for drug and alcohol abuse. Serving the area surrounding Meadville, our program not only treats the individual, we also offer family counseling services as well. This page contains some of the program details.
The length of the inpatient program varies depending on the severity of your condition and the recommended treatment plan. Recommended length is determined on a case-by-case basis. The program offers both detoxification and rehabilitation. The maximum length of rehabilitation is ordinarily 28 days, with some exceptions.
If you're under the influence of alcohol or other drugs, our staff is available by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to advise on the safest and closest avenues for assistance. All admissions must be screened in an Emergency Department. Our staff often recommends you go to the nearest emergency room for treatment and assessment of immediate needs. Services are also available for safe medically-managed withdrawal when certain opiate or other prescribed regimens are no longer indicated.
The Stepping Stones Program accepts adults 18 years old or older. If you need detoxification, we offer a medically managed inpatient stay. Outpatient treatment includes two group counseling sessions and one individual session each week once you have been assessed for treatment needs. Several tracts exist and range from 8-10 week brief intervention, to 12-16 weeks of treatment. Specialty groups address additional problems. Family group meetings are held three times weekly, following but not limited to a 12-week rotating schedule of topics.
We also administer an Employee Assistance Program so that local businesses may assist their employees with problems not only with the abuse of substances, but with other issues. The Employee Assistance Program Community Outreach Liaison is available to discuss the program options with employers.
At MMC, our drug and alcohol treatment program locks its doors to the public to maintain privacy. Federal law dictates the release of any of your private information is illegal unless you approve in writing beforehand, and the law then limits what can be disclosed. Your time at our program is kept completely confidential.
Once you are enrolled in The Stepping Stones Program, contact with family and friends is limited to Sunday visiting and weekend phone calls, by supervisory approval. This allows you to concentrate on working with your counselor and the treatment staff to achieve your goals for improved health, and sobriety. Loved ones have plenty of opportunity to visit at scheduled times, and are encouraged to meet with the Family Counselor. Formal family sessions can also be scheduled and those will be arranged to meet the needs of the family who would be travelling to this facility. Other outside contact such as to employer, landlords, case managers, and other individuals is able to be made throughout the week with counselor approval.
These simple public health steps have helped keep our facilities safe for many months. Masking, distancing, and other prevention efforts will continue to help us keep our patients, staff, and visitors safe whether they are vaccinated or not.

I moved here a year ago and struggled to find a dentist as I am someone who reads reviews and looks at star ratings. I'm not sure why there are such negative reviews on here for Meadville dental. Yesterday was my first appointment here and everyone was so incredibly nice and friendly! The lady at the front desk was patient and kind. The hygienist Jessie and I carried on conversation like we've known each other for years. She answered any questions I had thoroughly and explained what she was doing with my x-rays and the dental tools. I felt extremely comfortable with her and the dentist. I saw the dentist James, he was funny and had a bubbly sincere personality. I felt comfortable and happy with my choice in visiting here DESPITE these negative reviews.

I will be recommending Meadville dental center to everyone I meet that's looking for a great dentist office! The receptionists and all the staff are knowledgeable, professional, kind, caring, and great communicators! They have my full confidence in their capabilities and my gratitude for taking such good care of me and my dental needs! In fact I had another fantastic appointment just this morning, the receptionist took my husbands message and passed it on about my troublesome tooth a couple days ago, when I got there this morning for my filling appointment, Jamie and Dr Mancini knew about the problem before I spoke a word, had a game plan, and expertly extracted it within minutes! They are a great group of people and team, so to those reading this I recommend scheduling your check-ups today with Meadville Dental Center!

They have no idea what they're doing. They'll mix up my appointments and try to gaslight the blame on me. Find someplace else.

The Indian dentist at the place has a horrible bedside manner! She treated me like a child!!! And basically did oral surgery on me in the chair. Then sent me home with no pain meds!!!! The worst experience I've ever had at a dental facility!

The staff is incredibly rude. I asked for a second before the dr poked me. The nurse snidely said to me he could have been done already. Then while he was pulling the tooth he slipped and hit my bottom tooth on a hard pull and it hurt. The lady told me it didn't hurt when I said ouch. I told her what happened and so did the dentist then she was like oh.The dentist was nice but the rest of the staff was terrible. I honestly don't think they like people.

The people at the check in we very rude and bumped people up in front of scheduled appointments. To be honest even if it is the only place that takes your insurance you may want to travel more to not go to them. I have been taking my children here for years and each time it gets worse. With the service.
