Dr. Pelerin has become proficient in all phases of general dentistry, but has had particular emphasis on cosmetic dentistry, some of which can be seen on the website with some very extreme makeovers. He is a member of various national, state, and county dental associations.
Dr. Pelerin, during his career, has constantly sought to improve his operative dentistry skills and has been constantly taking courses in all phases of operative dentistry to improve his skills. The yearning to constantly provide better dental care has, in some cases; lead him to create new dental products.
Dr. Pelerin has received twelve patents for dental devices and has formed two separate companies. One of these companies is called Advantage Dental Products, Inc., which can be viewed at www.advantagedentalinc.com. This company has numerous products Dr. Pelerin has created. One in particular is called Hemaseal & Cide, which is responsible for saving tens of thousands of root canals across the nation.
Over the last few years, Dr. Pelerin has become more involved in treating patients with obstructive sleep apnea. In that regard, he has taken numerous courses to improve his skills and has also joined the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He will work closely with sleep clinics and sleep physicians to ensure the best possible treatment for his patients that seek dental appliance therapy for their sleep apnea and snoring problems. He has also had his staff become trained in how to bill the appliances to the major medical insurances, something that many dentists cant do.
Dr. Pelerin has not just been doctor, but also a patient of clenching, grinding and snoring. He has worn, and has had successful results from, these devises himself. This gives him deeper insight in how to treat his patients on a higher level.
Kelly has been with Meadowbrook Dental since 1995. She and her husband, Shawn, have three children: a son, Zachary, and two daughters, Dakota and Chase. Outside of the dental office Kelly and her family enjoy the outdoors, boating, camping and recreational vehicles.
Margie has been with Meadowbrook Dental since 1999. She handles many administrative duties such as insurance and billing. Away from work, Margie and her husband, Scott, and daughter, Megan, cherish their time traveling to both Chicago and Walt Disney World.
Amy received an associates degree from Oakland Community College. She is passionate about giving patients the highest standard of care, as well as placing a high emphasis on oral health care with her patients. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She looks forward to meeting you at your next dental cleaning!
Brittney graduated from dental hygiene school at Oakland Community College with highest honors. She genuinely cares about her patients needs and improving their oral health. She strives to provide a comfortable environment as well as maintain the highest health standards. In her spare time she enjoys biking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Sarah achieved her associates degree in science summa cum laude and finished her dental hygiene degree magna cum laude. Sarah specializes in gentle dental care. It is important to her that her patients feel comfortable and confident that they wiill receive pain free care. Sarah loves to work with her patients to educate and enhance their at home dental knowledge and skill. In her spare time she enjoys painting and baking.
Nicole is newer to Meadowbrook Dental, but has been an assistant for the last 20 years. Her and her husband have two teen boys that keep them busy with their sports schedules on the weekends. Her and her family enjoy camping, the outdoors, and spending time together.

I have been a patient of Dr. Joe since I was six years old. He is the best. He is very thorough and explains to what needs to be completed. He works with his patients to develop a plan to tackle any dental issues that arise and is always mindful of making sure that he provides you with the quality services at affordable prices. The staff at Meadowbrook Dental are the best. They add a person touch to your visit that places you at ease. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

I really enjoyed this dentist office. The staff was friendly and eager to help, at first. They're only open 3 days a week with limited evening openings, I was able to schedule time off for these visits. If your work doesn't offer personal days, you may want to see a different dentist. I'm a person who grinds my teeth/ clenches etc. at first this dentist will seem perfect for you, if you have similar problems. This dentist is very quick to get you on a treatment plan, and has his own mouthguard device to recommend. A lot of his staff--& even him use the device. I was also considering the device. However, I had some replacement work that needed to be done & wisdom teeth to be removed (this is not a service they offer. You will receive a referral.) before I proceeded with the device procedure. After my first new patient visit & cleaning with this office, I scheduled my replacement visit ( mid morning appointment). I received a paper telling me an estimate of what I would pay the day of procedure for two filling replacements and the device. I told them I would just like to schedule the replacements, and see an oral surgeon for my wisdom teeth --before making the device. I was told it will be $60- I asked if they would actually check with my insurance to confirm the amount. I was confident in the front desk. The day of my procedure everything went well. I went to the front desk to my surprise I was being charged over $200. There was over a $120 difference from what I was told, to what I was actually being charged. This dentist has no problem performing procedures under false pretenses, which is extremely unprofessional and seems to be an act of fraud on their part. They will take complete advantage of you. Beware. Run to a different dentist.

This is a great Dental Center ! Dr. Pelerin and his staff are doing fantastic work by making patient really comfortable. I had my two wisdom tooth extraction ( another 2 are on their way ! lol ), but I was at ease ! Before I know it , as Dr. Pelerin likes to describe - "My tooth were delivered" ! I can't believe Dr Don and staff were 5 minutes away from me. Absolutely the best experience I've ever had at a dentist, from the front office receptionist to the hygienist who cleaned my teeth to Dr. Don who is unbelievably thorough checking my xrays and finding the start of an abscess. The hygienist even told me what I was doing wrong when I floss and no one has ever done that. And to top it off, it's a family atmosphere with all the staff having worked there for many years. Excellent care and tooth explanations and definitely the best experience I've had with a dentist. I highly recommend for the complete family as your new dentist!

Dr Pelerin and his staff are the best. I've been a patient at Meadowbrook for well over 35 years. Over the years I've lived in two other states besides Michigan but my Dental care has always been with Meadowbrook Dental.

Best dental practice ever! I had a horrible experience with dentists before finding Meadowbrook Dental, and everyone here made me feel so much better and relaxed. Dr. Joe prioritized my dental health and explained everything to me. Nicole is the sweetest and kindest person ever! Always cheerful and makes me feel so much better about my dental work. Kelly is super helpful and always cheerful as well. I am so relieved to have found Meadowbrook Dental, and I completely trust them with my dental health. Dr. Joe's inventions are very impressive and still this practice is cheaper than other practices. They do amazing work with no issues. Highly recommended!!!!

I've been going to this dentist for about a year. The whole staff is lovely. My son used to scream and cry at the dentist's office, but on our first visit, Amy was so gentle with and kind to him. She made him her assistant and let him "help" with my cleaning. This really put him at ease. Fast forward to today: I had to go in for some work on a cavity and fractured tooth. I was terrified of what was to come, especially the needle! Grace was perfect. She reassured me that all would be well. She even held my hand! Of course the dentist was more than proficient and did a wonderful (and painless job). I definitely recommend this dentist office!
