I graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 1982. After eighteen years of practicing dentistry in Durham, NC, my wife and I decided to move to the mountains. We opened our office in Burnsville in 2000 and moved into our present location in 2003. I practice a slow paced relaxed type of dentistry and really enjoy the artistry of my profession. I work very hard on combining great function and beautiful looks to give you a wonderful smile. Outside of the office I enjoy blacksmithing, welding, rebuilding my jeep, gardening, and the wonderful family God has blessed me with.

I have worked in the dental field since 1999 and joined Dr. Ridges practice in 2005. I help our patients with all their scheduling, financing, treatment planning, and insurance needs. My husband, Orrin, and I moved to Mars Hill in 2002 prior to that we lived in Minnesota, where winters are very long and way too cold. I enjoy vegetable gardening, walking, backyard birdwatching and target shooting. When I cant be outside, I do whatever I can to avoid all indoor chores.

I was born and raised in Yancey County and have been working in the dental field since graduating high school. My first job was in public health, traveling the Tri-county area for a year and a half with Dr.John Renfro serving the children of Yancey, Mitchell and Avery counties. I continued to work with him after he started his own private practice as an assistant until he retired in 2017,working with him for over 36 years here in Yancey County.I joined Dr. Ridge and his wonderful staff in the fall of 2017 and love working in the professional atmosphere of their beautiful office.Outside the office I love baking, hiking and spending time with my sweet family. My husband and I have two grown children, Lyle and Lydia who are my pride and joy!

I am from Yancey County, born and raised. I completed my degree in dental hygiene in 2017. I enjoy meeting new patients and personally getting to know them. Working one-on-one with patients while educating them on their oral health is a passion of mine. I strive to provide comprehensive oral health care services to all of my patients. I enjoy spending my free time with my husband, our son, our friends and families doing outdoor activities like hiking and fishing.

I was born and raised in Yancey County. I received all my training and certifications from AB-Tech in 2008. I have been very fortunate in my career to have gained the experience that I have. I enjoy working along side Dr. Ridge and staff. When outside of the dental office I enjoy spending time with family, friends, my boyfriend Kenny, horses, and dogs!!
