Before I went to dental school and finished with a specialty certificate in orthodontics, I studied mechanical engineering. I worked in the aerospace industry for six years before returning to school. I like to think that Im a 'Smile Engineer,' one whobringstogether the best of both my careers to create each patients best smile!

I became a dentist in 1997 and spent the next two years in an orthodontic residency. I started practicing in Rhode Island in 1999,as one of five orthodontists in a very large practice. After three years, I realized I wanted to be my own boss and started looking for a practice to buy. Im thrilled to have found what I was seeking in Plattsburgh!

Being an orthodontist is about helping people make lasting, positive changes in their lives. Having straight teeth improves a persons oral and overall health. I grew up in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Plattsburgh, NY has been home for my family for more than 15 years. My wife and I have been happily married for over 25 years. We have two children: Connor, who works in Admissions at St. Lawrence University, and Lucy, who is getting her masters at the University of Portsmouth.

When Im not working, I love time with my family. We enjoy hiking, skiing, and doing anything on Lake Champlain. I also really love to golf, although Im not great at it. Still, I think walking around outsideon a beautiful dayis a wonderful way to spend a few hours!I recently obtained my pilot's license and am teaching myself to play the ukulele.
