I could not understand the dental assistant, language barrier. She wasn't good at explaining things to me. The dentist was condescending and acted like my situation was annoying to her. She walked out of the room after looking in my mouth and I never seen her again. Also, false advertisement! It clearly says on your page that you perform oral surgery and that is what I needed, but was told by the dentist that you do not! The front staff was friendly and accommodating I wasted a whole day from work due to this appt.

I really enjoyed my appointment here for a dental cleaning and replacing some fillings! Dr. Popescu was so patient and interactive, explaining everything she was doing and making sure I didn't have any pain. Really appreciated the care from the team at McRae Family Dental!

I went to the Baxter office for my 1st visit. There was too much going on at the front desk that it was chaotic. This isn't a bad thing, they just need a better system for checking patients in and out of office. 2nd visit, I went to the Trail Creek location, opposite from Baxter St. Totally relaxed. I saw Dr. Washington for a painful abcessed tooth. The staff, and Dr. Washington were so kind and understanding. Thank you for making me feel better. See y'all next Friday.

My first visit was interesting. The Dentist worked well with the dental assistants. The staff was friendly. I went for a consultation and they were able to fit me in to alleviate my tooth discomforted. It was very apparent, how busy they were. They also fit my husband in for work he badly needed. They all get a high five from me!

Dr. Reynolds does high quality dental work. The staff has always been helpful and nice. I purposefully knocked a couple of my teeth out just so I could hang out there! Just kidding. But seriously, they're pro's

I had a complication with a crown I got put on by McRae about a year and a half ago. Getting the crown back then was not a good experience, but I thought it was a fluke due to the appointment being in the middle of peak COVID times. It turns out that was not the case. I called after the complication occurred and they said there was no way I could get an appointment until 2.5 weeks later. When I got to the office, they assessed my tooth and told me I should have come in sooner, despite them saying they had no availability until that date. Part of the procedure included removing a part of my gums with a laser, but it took three rounds of numbing injections for me to be comfortable and not feel the excruciating pain of the laser. The steps of the procedure and what Dr. McRae was doing throughout the time he was working on me were not explained, which made my already extreme dental anxiety worse because I didn't know what was going on or what feelings to expect next. I was given nitrous, but it helped minimally and Dr. McRae did not stop working to check on me when I started crying and panicking in the chair during the procedure. They didn't give me any aftercare instructions aside from taking an ibuprofen before the numbness went away. It has been five days since my procedure and I am still in great pain, but I am refraining from calling the office again because I have no desire to go back. The only reason this review is 2 stars instead of one is because the dental assistant was very kind, checked in on me a few times throughout my visit, and briefly explained a few things they were going to do. I would not recommend this office and I do not plan on going back.

The staff and everyone is nice and very helpful. They are not uptight like some dentist offices. I have migraines and can't always give 24 hour notice and they are very understanding of that! I've had other dentist offices that were not understanding and wanted to charge me bc I didn't call 24 hour in advance and I couldn't bc I don't have a crystal ball to know that I'm going have a migraine the following day.. Beyond that the appt was on a Monday at preclv dentist and they were not open to cancelation anyway!!

My first visit was Great! The staff explained everything in a detailed manner. I never look forward to going to a dentist appointment , but if the next visit goes as well as my first - I'm all in.

Having the worst experience here. I went to the Epps bridge location to have a molar extracted. They had an intern (unsupervised) do it, in which he only broke the top half of my tooth off and tried to stich it closed. 2 weeks later i went into the baxter location do the pain of the rest of my tooth cutting through my gum and pain i was experiencing. The dentist at the bacter st location only grinded the top part of the exposed broken tooth down to the gum line and told me to return the following week due to she was the only doctor on duty. The procedure would take about an hour to complete and she didnt have time. Only to never get put in for the appointment for the next week. When i arrived after sitting in the waiting area for an hour I was told it s actually another week before they could correct this debauchery. So i have literally have had this painful gaping hole in my jaw for nearly a whole month. Of cource being a large male its as if the constent aching pain in my mouth isnt suppose to be a problem and its not a big deal. After they do (if they do) correct this grave mistake i will not nor will i recommend this practice to anyone nor return to either location. The only reason for the 1 star is because it is a clean place, and the first visit to the baxter st location went very well. The pain radiating in my face is unreal and keeps me from sleeping on one side of my face. Maybe its because i paid out of pocket because I dont have insurance. Im willing to bet that there will not be any reprimanding done to the intern/ doctor for such a horrid job done. He should at least be suspended and forced to reclass before this happens to anyone else. To the doctor and assistant who did my route canal and crown you two were awesome.

I would love to say I had a great experience but I don't think that I can classify it as great. I am horribly afraid of going to the dentist and I always have been. I would hope most dentists know that this fear exists but I'm not for sure it was taken seriously at my appointment. I was having a tooth removed and I cannot explain the fear that was going on in my mind. I had asked for nitrous and was given that but I had to ask for it to be made a little more powerful. She did turn it up but I think in the long run I may have been charged for more nitrous than usual. (I might be wrong but this is my thought) first of all, I am absolutely stunned that the fact is that they are charging for nitrous, something to calm the nerves of their patients. It's not like going to the dentist is cheap. The doctor was less than calming to my nerves. When he asked me if my mouth was numb enough, I had to answer that realistically I did not think I was. I felt like this may have not been what he wanted to hear but he did inject me with more. The procedure started and I was never asked if I was OK by the dentist or even after the procedure was done. The assistant whose name was Yolanda was caring and did ask me how I was doing from time to time. I am new to this practice and had left a practice from Lilburn after moving to Athens. I would like to see this practice be a little more understanding and I would like to understand why I am being charged for nitrous and if I was charged more because they had to up the nitrous. (When I paid I was told that there was an up charge and I can't imagine what the up charge was for) It has been a week since I have had the tooth removed and I have had pain since then but I'm trying to not call them because I'm not sure if I want to go back.

Wow, just a great experience overall. From the way they take great care of you, to making you feel welcome. They also take their time cleaning your teeth and explain things thoroughly to you. If there is any added expenses that your insurance will not cover you for, they go over that in detail as well. I will be a long time customer with them now !
