Dr. Petes interest in dentistry began years ago as a child when he would spend his summer vacation helping his dad in the dental lab. Today, Dr. Pete enjoys creating healthy, beautiful smiles in the Jackson community.
Dr. Pete and his wife, Nancy, have three children, Jay, Rachel, and Thomas. All three are now married and have followed in their parents footsteps by pursuing careers in the healthcare profession. They love spending time with their grand-children Louise, Archie, and Dannie. They are excited to welcome two new additions very soon!
Staying healthy and active is important to Dr. Pete. In high school and college, he ran track and cross-country. Dr. Pete still enjoys running and working out at the gym. More recently, he has become an active member of Crossfit Jackson.
Local and foreign missions are close to Dr. Petes heart. He partners Nathan Young of Jacksons Care Center, providing dental service at no charge to the ladies served by this ministry. He has participated in a number of medical/dental mission trips to Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Haiti, serving the dental needs of peoples in remote regions and sharing his love of Christ.

When choosing a career path, Dr. John took an nontraditional route to dentistry. He began his professional path in mechanical engineering. He loved engineering, but found that as his career progressed and he took on management roles, administrative work replaced the hands-on aspect of engineering that he enjoyed so much. It didnt take long for him to realize that combining his engineering background with dentistry would give him what he was looking for.We are proud to say that Dr. John is an officer in the Army National Guard. His military career started shortly after the terrorist attacks of 9-11. He served in Iraq in 2005 and Afghanistan in 2013. He currently holds the rank of Colonel.
Dr. John and his wife, Tricia, have daughters. Alexandra and Amelia. They are excited for the upcoming arrival of their first grandaughter! Dr. John enjoys spending his spare time working on his family farm. He enjoys planting and harvesting from the garden and caring for the menagerie of animals. The office staff members love receiving fresh eggs from the McLemore farm!

Dr. Jay McLemore became a full time member of our dental team in August 2017. Dr. Jay is the eldest son of Dr. Pete McLemore, and grandson of our founder, Dr. Mac. Another generation of McLemore dentistry, same great family and cosmetic dental care!
Dr. Jay received his undergraduate degree at Mississippi State and earned his doctorate at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. He then went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He is passionate about providing the best dental experience possible for his patients.
Dr. Jay began his dental career in the Memphis area but now calls Jackson home again along with his wife Anna and their daughter Louise. He loves to spend time outdoors running and working in the yard. Both he and Anna also love to travel in their spare time.

After several years with a different local practice, I switched to McLemore & McLemore at the recommendation of a friend. It's a fantastic practice with great staff and a skilled dental team. In addition to the normal cleanings, they corrected some less than spectacular dental work I received when I was a teenager. My insurance wanted to deny my claim by saying the work was cosmetic, but the M&M team argued on my behalf, convinced my carrier to pay for most of it, then delivered an excellent outcome that fixed my tooth pain and looks natural.

10/10 hands down best dental office in the area. The front desk, assistants, and hygienists were super friendly and made me feel comfortable during my visit. They offered complimentary services such as paraffin hand treatments (for free) and it was amazing! The dentist was very polite & nice as well! My family and I have found our forever dental home!

Everyone is treated with respect and professionalism especially including staff. They have been more than helpful coordinating with my insurance. My teeth look great. If this wasn't a business that jammed things in your mouth while spraying you with water and grinding away your toothly problems it would likely be a pretty wonderful place.

I received exceptional and personalized care. The office experience from the front door to the after care was like no other. Staff goes above and beyond to insure you are comfortable. They stop and listen when you are speaking to insure that your needs are met. Would recommend no other dentist for your needs.

I had an emergency my child knocked out a permanent tooth so I called several dentist offices including my own and was excited to have one answer the phone at McLemore & McLemore DDS 15 minutes before closing. The lady that I spoke to told me that 2 of the dentists had already left for the day and it was clear she did not want to help me, so I asked was there any dentist left and she said yes I asked could he not see us because my son has knocked his tooth out and this is an emergency please help and because we were not patients there she would not help me but was quick to refer me to several other dentist offices I am also not a patient at. I would definitely not recommend going here to anyone nor will I ever go to such a cold hearted and uncaring place as McLemore and McLemore in Jackson Tennessee! Just to be clear in response to what you wrote...I never gave his age because I wasn't asked his age. My child is 8 he will be 9 on Monday and no I wasn't told I couldn't be helped because we didn't go there I was told I couldn't be helped because you were closing down and there was only one dentist there finishing up on a patient.
