Welcome! My name is Chris McLean and I am a Dentist in Delano, MN. I have practiced in Delano since 2004. I grew up in nearby Plymouth. I attended St. Johns University where I earned my undergraduate degree. I then graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2000. I continue learning and staying up to date with modern techniques by taking a variety of continuing education classes each year.
I am proud to offer a variety of services for our patients in a caring and comfortable fashion. At my family oriented dental practice in Delano I perform all aspects of general dentistry. Including cosmetic procedures, orthodontics, dentures, and implants. Adult braces can be done in as little as 6 months. Digital X-Rays with reduced radiation exposure and CAD/CAM computerized one visit dentistry are also available.

I have had my teeth taken care of at McLean Family Dental for several years now. Andrea, the dental hygienist I see, is delightful. She has a great memory and will ask me about things I have talked about on previous visits. She is always positive and cheerful. Dr. Vander-Heyden is thorough in her exams and instills trust. She has a calming demeanor that puts you at ease. I will not be going anywhere else for my dental care.

I called and was able to get a last minute appointment the next day for a tooth ache. Everyone was extremely nice. Dr. McLean was very thorough and made sure I had all the facts, my questions were answered and chose the best treatment for my situation. I will definitely be back for all my dental needs!

I returned for my second visit to McLean Family Dental for a 6 month cleaning. Andrea did an amazing job making the cleaning easy and efficient. Andrea along with Dr. Ellen Vander Heyden were able to cost effectivley prioritize treatment plans and future appointments. Great team at McLean. Highly recommend this Dental Clinic!

My husband and I had an appointment this morning at 7am and 8am. We were told to be there early to get the paperwork done. We were there at the clinic at 6:45am and they had a sign out that said "OPEN". We walked up to the entrance and found that the door was locked. There was a staff who is on the very heavy side in the hallway who looked right at us, took her time to walk to the counter, looked right at us again, took her time to walk towards the hallway again and this time, turned her back at us and started chatting with another colleague while we were still standing outside in the cold (22F). We knocked the door for them to let us in but they both completely ignored us!! This behaviour is just rude, outrageous and totally unacceptable. We never got a chance to step in the clinic and decided to leave because if this is how they treat their customers, imagine how much care they would give us when we're inside!

I had never been to McLean Family Dental before today. The first thing I noticed was the warm reception the front office people gave me. They wanted to know how I was doing today. Next, was my dental hygienist Andrea. She was great!!! I know they have to pick your gums and scrape your teeth, but she was very gentle and always asked how I was doing through out the process. Finally the dental exam by Dr. Ellen . I can now understand how they can see the smallest things wrong with your teeth and gums. The tools she used is like a microscope with a very bright led light. And once again, she like the rest of the team, ask me how I was doing. So, this is where I will be going to, not only for my dental work, but to feel good for the rest of the day because they all cared enough to ask how are you doing? Thank you for caring!!! Whenever I go to the Dentist. I am always greeted and treated excellent by all the staff. We can laugh and talk about anything from the weather to how have you been since last time. It's great when they ask me about my "Elvis" shows and how that is going. It makes you feel at ease and welcome to know that they take the time to know about you. Even when they have a new staff or Dentist, they take the time to get to know you.

I was very pleased with my first visit to McLean Dental. The warm greeting I received when I arrived put me at ease. The dental hygienist was wonderful. She and I just seemed to connect. It was great to meet Dr. McLean. The exam he did was thorough. For anyone needing a new dentist or looking to change, I would highly recommend McLean Dental!
