Dr. McKnight graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science Degree before going on to UMKC School of Dentistry for her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1997. She rounded out her education at UMKC School of Dentistry earning her AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) in 1998.
I love that I have these long-term friendships with my patients! It feels great to know that I am at the point in my career that the dentistry comes naturally so I can focus more on the relationships with my clients and their overall wellbeing. I also love working with my team every day; they are a great group of women.
When Dr. McKnight enjoys time away from the practice, you can count on her playing golf and exercising. She also enjoys traveling with her family and friends whenever possible. Her two teenage boys are both athletes, and you can find Dr. McKnight cheering them on from the sidelines.
Dr. Megan Konz grew up in Overland Park, KS and now lives in Kansas City. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Creighton University in 2012 with a major in biology along with extensive coursework in psychology. She then went on to UMKC Dental School to complete her dental degree in 2016. Dr. Konz had a membership in the Advanced Restorative Studies Program, where she completed complex dental cases.
During school, Dr. Konz was selected to serve on an inter-professionalism education grant where pharmaceutical, dental, nursing, and physician assistant students provide collaborative care to patients.
Dr. Konz spends much of her spare time with her furry, four-legged child. She has a strong desire to travel and have adventures in new places. She also enjoys volunteering and has been coaching a Special Olympics basketball team for five years. Dr. Konz is also passionate about supporting small business and watching our city grow.
Stacey has been a part of the McKnight Signature Dental team for over six years. She took a hiatus and has been back on site since 2017, jumping in to help our patients without missing a beat. She feels that our patients are like family, loves building relationships with them, and helping them put their best smile forward!
When away from the dental office, Stacey spends plenty of time with family including her 3 dogs. She is married to her husband Paul, and together they have three beautiful daughters. They love to check out the local KC events for family fun.
Diana grew up in Kansas City, KS, in the Strawberry Hill area. She and her husband now live in Piper, Kansas City, and have raised their children there. Diana joined McKnight Signature Dental in 2022 and has worked in dentistry since 2018.
When she is away from the dental office, you will often find Diana spending time with her husband, Chuck, who she has known since high school. Together, they have three childrentwo grown kids and one teenager. As a family, they love spending time at the lake or beach when they can get there.
Katie Barrer joined McKnight Signature Dental in 2022. She is a graduate of the Community College of Philadelphia Dental Hygiene Program in 2012, where she was the president of her dental hygiene class. Katie is a native of Philly.
When Katie is away from the dental office, you will find her spending time with her husband and two children, who keep her very busy. She enjoys all things artfrom performing arts to visual arts. Staying fit is important to Katie. You will often find her exercising or practicing yoga.

Lynn Schutte has been my dentist for 20 or so years. When in Europe recently, a tooth broke. I had an appointment to see her the day after I got home. Now you talk about great service! She is a such a fine artist and person.

Just had another appointment this morning. Dr. Abbie McKnight is the consummate professional. She is thorough, pleasant, gentle, and great at crown work - all attributes I looked for in a dentist at least 10 years ago when we started seeing her. I've had several different dentists during my adult life and Dr. McKnight is absolutely the best. And, as my late wife experienced when she had a "dental crisis," Dr. McKnight was there for her. I have recommended Dr. McKnight to several friends and will continue to do so.

Definitely make your patient experience a good one. Doctor is very caring and works to ensure you are comfortable. Very thorough in explaining what they are doing and why. Staff is very courteous and welcoming. Highly recommend choosing this office for your dental needs.

Dr. Konz was very helpful in checking out the problems I was having with dry mouth. She noticed the salivary glands were blocked and spent some time trying to clear them.There was some success and and I am going back for another appointment in a week.
