Dr. Paul D. Clarks goal is to provide patients the best endodontic specialty care possible in a gentle, skilled, and caring way. Dr. Clark is an experienced, efficient, board certified specialist and has a calm and caring demeanor that will put you at ease during your treatment.
Dr. Clark was raised in Logan, Utah, and attended Utah State University for his undergraduate studies. After his first semester at USU, he left for Madrid, Spain, where he spent two years of volunteer service as a missionary for his church. Dr. Clark enjoyed the culture and people of Spain while becoming fluent in Spanish. After his service in Spain, Dr. Clark returned to Utah State University, graduating in 2000 with honors while earning a BA in business administration.
Dr. Clark has conducted and published research at each of the universities he has attended. Dr. Clark attended The University of Iowa College of Dentistry on an academic research scholarship, earning his DDS degree and graduating with honors in 2004. One of his favorite things about his time in Iowa was enjoying Big 10 sports!
Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Clark was selected as a dental resident at the University of Utah Hospital and graduated from this General Practice Residency program in 2005, gaining valuable experience in sedation and treating medically compromised patients in hospital dentistry.
Dr. Clark received his endodontic specialty training at the Virginia Commonwealth University College of Dentistry endodontic program where he earned his endodontic specialist certificate and a Masters of Science in Dentistry, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2007.Dr. Clark practiced as an endodontic specialist in Phoenix, Arizona, for six years before relocating to Texas in 2013. While in Arizona, Dr. Clark was an adjunct endodontic faculty member at the A.T. Still University School of Dentistry and enjoyed helping dental students learn about and perform endodontic treatment.
Dr. Clark believes some of the most rewarding experiences in life come through serving others and has participated in numerous dental service opportunities throughout his career. Dr. Clark continues to further his endodontic education through CE courses and seminars in the latest advances of endodontics. Dr. Clark and his wife Julie are active in their community and church and are delighted to raise their family here in this wonderful community. They are the parents of 5 amazing children (boy, girl, boy, boy, boy) and enjoy traveling together, coaching & attending their kids sporting events and other family activities.
Dr. Clark is a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, earning this distinction in 2011. Becoming board certified was important to Dr. Clark because it is a voluntary examination process with the American Board of Endodontics designed to identify clinicians who possess advanced proficiency and expertise within their field. As of 2017, only 23% of endodontists in the nation are board certified.
Every day, Dr. Lloyd commits himself to provide his patients with the best quality endodontic treatment and service. He strives to help every patient feel comfortable and have a good experience. Years of experience in the art and science of endodontics has allowed him to streamline this process to make the experience as smooth and easy as possible.
Dr. Lloyd grew up in Layton, Utah and was taught the value of service. He served as a volunteer missionary for two years in Miami, Florida where he learned Spanish. He returned to study at Brigham Young University in Utah.
Following his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, Dr. Lloyd attended dental school at Oregon Health Sciences University. He enjoyed his time in the Pacific Northwest and graduated in 2001 with Honors and was inducted into the national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Following dental school, Dr. Lloyd had the opportunity to practice general dentistry for four years in his hometown. This experience allowed him to gain insight into all the aspects of dentistry before attending the endodontic residency program at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Lloyd received his endodontic specialist certificate and a Masters of Science in Dentistry degree in 2007.
After practicing endodontics for two years in Oregon, Dr. Lloyd moved to Texas in 2009 and has loved his time here since. For the past decade, he has dedicated himself to the care of his patients. He has been actively serving in the community and has had the opportunity to help train dental students serving in Guatemala. When not with his patients, Dr. Lloyd loves hiking, cycling and running. He is married and has six wonderful children to keep him busy.

I had two root canals done in one sitting, Dr. Clark was awesome painless procedure. The staff was kind and explained everything well. Highly recommend McKinney Endo. Don't hesitate!

Mckinney Endodotics took great care of my son. He had a bad toothache that started over the weekend and our general dentist recommended Mckinney endodontics. They were able to get him in right way and Dr. Lloyd and his staff was great! He did my son root canal and he was able to get to school same day feeling back to himself. I would definitely recommend them!

My dentist/Dr. Hallock identified a bacterial infection under a root canal during a routine cleaning and xray appointment. The root canal was completed several years ago. I was then referred me to see Matthew Lloyd at Mckinney Endodontics. Very impressed with the service received. While getting work done and ALL the tools used, I quickly realized he is incredibly skilled and felt very confident with him and his staff working on me. I felt no pain and felt he was very efficient with his time. I'm sure all the endo dentists in the office are great, but so happy to be his patient. Clean facility, friendly and knowledgeable staff, Highly recommend!

Wish I could give more than 5 stars! After experiencing real PTSD from my last root canal, I was terrified to go back to a dentist. I suffered in pain and continuing decay for a long time because of that fear. I did my research and discovered this practice. Is it crazy to say my root canal was a good experience?? Dr. Lloyd is amazing! My root canal was pain free, including the novocaine shots I dreaded so much. He quickly and expertly completed the root canal. His kind, gentle demeanor definitely put me at ease. He was even apologetic at times that what he needed to do might cause discomfort. All staff I encountered during the process were very professional and friendly. If you have to have a root canal, this is the place to do it!

Dr Lloyd at McKinney Endodontics is wonderful. I've had several root canals from him, and he does a fantastic job. His skill minimizes all pain, even with the numbing shots. I HIGHLY recommend him.
