After obtaining his undergraduate degree in microbiology at McNeese State University, Dr. McKenzie earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at Louisiana State University Dental School in New Orleans, LA. Dr. McKenzie furthered his education, completing a periodontal residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA.
A Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, Dr. McKenzie believesit is important to stay on the pioneering edge of periodontics. He is a member of many prestigious professional organizations and keeps up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies. He is currently a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, The Southern Academy of Periodontology, South Carolina Society of Periodontists, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association and the Greater Columbia Dental Association.
Dr. McKenzie has volunteered his time and talents onmedical mission trips to Mexico and Africa and currently donates his time to local dental mission work. He also participates inmens Bible studies and prayer groups. Dr. McKenzie enjoys spending his spare time with his wife, grown children and granddaughter.

Well perhaps it's an antiquated slogan, but it certainly properly describes my experience with Doctor McKenzie as well as with all of his staff. Professionalism, courtesy, cleanliness oh, yes all of those are truly important, but show me the LOVE! That element is certainly in place with each visit I make and I am convinced it's in place and shared with all who come through the doors.

I'm not a fan of going to the dentist, but I look forward to my next visits with Dr McKenzie and his staff. The Dr and the staff was very nice and explained everything that they were going to do in full detail. I don't like going to the dentist but they made me feel very comfortable. I would recommend them to my family, friends and ALL truck drivers....

I have been a patient of Dr. McKenzies for over 30 years and I love his practice. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and efficient. They do everything to make you comfortable and cared for while they are doing any procedure, even a cleaning. Dr. McKenzie has done a few surgeries on me as well and he is wonderful. I highly recommend Dr. McKenzie and his staff to anyone looking for periodontal care.

I enjoy my appointments with Dr. McKenzie. Even the lobby with the open layout, comfortable chairs, outdoor scenes in the decor, and soft relaxing music puts a person at ease. The staff are kind and efficient. The hygienist is good at her job and pleasant. Dr. McKenzie is always so encouraging, gentle and kind. I actually look forward to my appointments as a time to slow down and relax too.

I have been seeing Dr. Mckenzie for around 20 years. He has always been great with me! He and his staff are courteous and professional. The total experience is relaxing and spiritual. Not only is Dr. Mckenzie a great periodontist, but he cares about you as a person. He has even said prayers over me when he knew that I was experiencing troubles in life. What else can you ask for?
