McKenna Orthodontics has been a part of life in Connecticut since 1968. With more than 50 years of combined orthodontic experience, Drs. McKenna and Lashgari collaborate on every patient to make sure the most appropriate treatment is presented. We only recommend what we would advise for our family. No unnecessary treatment will ever be presented.

We are orthodontic specialists, meaning we practice orthodontics exclusively. Every orthodontist is a dentist, but not every dentist is an orthodontist. Both doctors have gone through an additional two to three years of training after dental school. We attend more than 100 hours of continuing education every year to stay up to date on the latest technologies and treatment methods.

Our office also stays up to date on the latest strict infection control guidelines required by the state of Connecticut. All our assistants have Dental Assisting National Board certification and are CPR certified.

McKenna Orthodontics is in the top 1% of Invisalign and Invisalign Teen providers in North America. We have also received the Top Docs recognition from both Connecticut Magazine and Hartford Magazine every year since they started the awards. We are trusted by our peers, as we have treated many of our dental colleagues as well as their staff and families.

Our days are scheduled so that Dr. McKenna and Dr. Lashgari spend quality time with each patient for every adjustment. We customized care plans, give plenty of face-to-face interaction with our doctors, and minimally delegate tasks. Though our support staff is a group of highly skilled professionals, we understand the importance of keeping your primary orthodontist involved in every step of the process.

There are many ways to help people achieve beautiful smiles. McKenna Orthodontics gives patients a choice between a variety of corrective and therapeutic systems. We are not only equipped to offer traditional services like braces and advances like Invisalign; our doctors are also trained in special areas such as dentofacial orthopedics and surgical orthodontics.

We work with all insurance companies and will file claims for you. We offer flexible payment arrangements and interest-free financing, in addition to accepting HSA and Flex account contributions, plus offer discounts for multiple family members treated, and payment in full. We accept most major credit cards.

I guess you could say orthodontics is in my genes. Both my father and grandfather were orthodontists, so I came by it naturally. What I love the most is helping people feel better about the way they look. Its a great feeling to watch the transformation that occurs in someone who is embarrassed to smile and then after treatment feels confident enough to give the largest smile in the room. Dr. McKenna has been in practice since 1981 and is a native of the Springfield area. He and his wifeKarenhave four children: Paul, Bryant, Alexandra, and Emily. They are involved in the Connecticut Rose Society and St. Marys Church.

Dr. Lashgari continually expands his knowledge base and is excited to bring the newest and most efficient treatment methods to the practice. He attends numerous professional meetings, nationally and locally, participates in multiple lecture series, and has extensively studied Invisalign, as well.

Dr. Lashgari grew up in Windsor and West Hartford and is a lifelong Connecticut resident. Since 2003 hes lived in Canton with his family. Nicole, Dr. Lashgaris wife, is active in Girl Scouts, supporting local schools, and keeps busy raising the couples children: teenage twins Ava and Chase; elementary-age Nina; and Lucy, the familys young dog.

I began my dental assisting career in 2010 at Porter and Chester Institute and joined this office that same year. Most of my time is spent in the clinic, sterilizing instruments and equipment, and offering chairside assistance during procedures. For me, watching peoples confidence and self-esteem grow as their smile changes is the best experience. At McKenna Orthodontics, were lucky: We help our patientschange their lives and see those smiles emerge every day!

I started my training as a dental assistant in 1994, working chairside with an oral surgeon and for several years with both an orthodontist and general dentist. Our doctors friendly approach and expertise in the field makes me proud to have joined McKenna Orthodontics in 2012. I work alongside the doctors, and providecare to our patients. Im also part of our marketing team, which helpsthis amazing office grow. I love meeting so many wonderful people and watching the transformation of each persons smile.

Im a police wife andhave five daughters. We also have two dogs, a German Shepard and a Jack Russell. In my free time,I love to hike and explore new places. I also have an adventurous side and have gone diving in ashark cage and rappelled down Mohegan Sun!

My husband Kevin and I have been married for more than 20 years and were busy raising our two boys, Tyler and Michael. We are major New York Yankees fans and enjoy being involved with our local little league and junior baseball teams. I also volunteer my time to public service and giving back to my hometown community in Bristol.

I am a graduate of Springfield Technical Community College, class of 1988, and am certified in radiology andCPR. Ima member of the Registered Dental Assistant National Board. I seat and prepare patients for their procedure, explain what will happen, and make sure theyre comfortable. Working with Dr. Paul and Dr. Michael is an ongoing learning experience. Having workedhere for 29 years, I have seen many changes in the growth of McKenna Orthodontics. Honestly, McKenna Orthodontics is the reason why I am who I am today.

When Im not working, I enjoy various activities with the Windsor Locks Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and I work with Windsor Locks Dollars for Scholars, too. My husband Joey and I have been married for 30 years and we have two grown daughters, Nikki and Katie.

I hold both an associates in dental assisting and a bachelors in liberal sciences, and have worked in the dental field since 2000. I handle a variety of tasks at the front desk, including treatment, schedule, and financial coordination. I really like meeting each patient and getting to know everyoneand their families. Like the rest of our team, I want everyone to feel welcome and happy to be part of the McKenna Orthodontics family!

I have worked in orthodontics for more than 27 years, and have becomea certified X-ray tech and orthodontic technician. I work in the clinic, where I prepare and sterilize our equipment and instruments. I also take X-rays and prepare patients to see the doctor: explaining what well be doing and answering questions. I love developing great relationships with each of our patients, from seven to 77! Its incredible to see how changing a smile transforms a persons life and outlook!

I share my home with my beloved Mark, withwhom Ive been for 28 years, and Mickey, our kitty cat. I have a beautiful niece and a handsome nephew.They are our world and keep us constantly laughing. Im surrounded by the best family and friends a girl could desire!

I completed my certified dental assistant training through Tunxis Community College in 1991 and joined McKenna Orthodontics in 2001. I work in the clinic, where I take orthodontic records, handle intraoral scans, and am a lab technician. I also prep patients for the doctor, assist during different procedures, and teach patients about oral health. I love being part of McKenna Orthodontics, where we transform smiles and change lives though the best possible orthodontic treatment.

Ive loved being part of the amazing McKenna Orthodontics team since I joined in 2014. I assist patients and parents with all aspects of treatment and financial planning. Together, we figure out the financials andreview insurance benefits, and I schedule visits and procedures, too. Here, we do everything wecan to make ourpatients feel welcome and confident. I look forward to each patients visits, becausethey tell us their latest news and the exciting things happening in their lives.

I reside in Winchester with my husband Phil, where we celebrated our 25th anniversary in June 2020. We are the proud parents of our son PJ, our daughter Melanie, our three dogs, Rosco, Duke, and Daisy, and my grand puppy Donut. All of them light up my life. Other than spending time with my family and puppies, I love trips to the beach and spending relaxing time by our pool.

I live in Winchester Center with my husband Brett. We have two wonderful grown daughters, Jordan and Taylor. In my free time, I enjoy biking, hiking, and kayaking. Most rewarding is bringing my amazing therapy dog, Reggie, to nursing facilities for visits.
