Dr. McKenna's educational background includes an Undergraduate Degree from Villanova University, a Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson School of Dental Medicine. He received his surgical training in dental implants from Harvard University.In 1999, Dr. McKenna received his Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. Mastership is the highest honor available in the Academy and one of the most respected designations in the profession. A member achieving this distinction has completed hands-on study in 16 dental disciplines, completing a minimum of 1100 hours in approved dental education. Of the current 149,000 dentists practicing in the U.S., the Academy has bestowed Mastership to only 2500 U.S. dentists.

Dr. McKenna is married to Sandra Lee McKenna, has one daughter, Kelly, four sons, Sean, Colin, Kyle and Conor, and two grandchildren, Camaron and Mia.
