Dr. Lucas McGuire is the owner of McGuire Orthodontics and Facial Orthopedics. His impeccable orthodontic skills and sparkling personality will no doubt leave his patients feeling like they are truly part of the family. He is a native of Ebensburg, PA and attended Gannon University in Erie, PA. He earned his dental degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and graduated as a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the prestigious National Dental Honor Society offered to only the top 1% of graduates.
He completed his Master of Science in Dentistry degree and certification as an orthodontic specialist at Case Western Reserve University. His time spent at CWRU not only allowed him to become an expert on facial growth and orthodontics, but also encouraged him to open his mind and think critically. This stimulated Dr. Lucass desire to never stop learning and enhance his expertise on how orthodontics relates to breathing, sleeping and the importance of the airway. He has spent countless hours on continuing education and is an expert on techniques that enhance the airway and establish proper breathing. He shared this information with local and national dentists and has lectured to several different groups on airway focused orthodontics. Additionally, he is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Ohio Dental Association, the American Dental Association and is qualified by the National Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Lucass wife, Dr. Kristina, is also a dentist specializing in craniofacial pain and sleep at The TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of Cleveland. They have two beautiful kids, Kaia and Leonidas, who are currently under active treatment to ensure proper facial growth and enhance the quality of their sleep. Feel free to ask about their progress! I've experienced NUMEROUS orthodontists in my lifetime between myself (a FEW times!) and my two daughters. Dr. McGuire and his staff are consistently pleasant and extraordinarily accommodating with my scheduling needs. Dr. McGuire and his staff are always so delightful that it makes me look forward to my orthodontic visits (yes again). Dr. McGuire's knowledge and expertise goes beyond his years. Because of Dr. McGuire's appeal to all ages and people, I've entrusted one of my prized possessions, my grandson, to his care. My grandson's teeth were a colossal mess and within a few months you couldn't tell this boys teeth had been a horror story. And he actually does not mind going to his appointments, which most 15 year old boys don't like much of anything. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. McGuire for any and all orthodontic needs. And his choice of office music isn't bad either!

I have been a patient of Dr. Arnstine for years so I was a little nervous when I heard he was retiring. The transition was seamless and Dr. McGuire is fabulous! His team helped me with both Invisalign and actual metal braces to correct a pretty serious jaw issue I had been dealing with since I was 15 (35 now). For the first time in literally 20 YEARS I am pain free! Great experience, highly recommend.

My daughter is on phase 2 of her braces. We first came to McGuire Ortho when it was only Dr. Arnstine. We always enjoyed our visit because the staff was always very caring and friendly. This did not change when Dr. Lucas McGuire took over. Absolutely nothing short of awesome every visit! Dr. Lucas really takes the time to get to know your child and his/her family and the level of care you will receive is second to none!

The team at the TMJ sleep center is nothing short of amazing. Anyone suffering from TMJ issues are well served by placing their faith in this clinic. I was referred to another clinic in the area but was skeptical because they had very, very high "estimated" prices (think in the tens of thousands of dollars.....). I understand we all have to make money to keep our doors open, but there are some predatory practices going on out there so beware and at the very least visit this clinic and hear what they have to offer before making a decision on your TMJ treatment options.

Dr. Kristina has changed my life. For as long as I can remember I have been a terrible sleeper. Tossing and turning all night, grinding my teeth so badly that I've chewed through my Invisalign retainers, waking up feeling fatigued, and generally going through life feeling like a zombie. After a concussion late last year, things only got worse. In addition to terrible sleep patterns, I was now starting to get spells of dizziness at work. Something had to change, and I am so thankful that I found Dr. Kristina. It was only by happenstance that after my concussion I was having a lot of jaw pain and decided to give McGuire Ortho / TMJ Sleep Centre a try. I never would have expected to find a practitioner in Dr. Kristina who is so incredibly caring, thorough and knowledgeable about all areas of pain and sleep. The initial consultation was warm and welcoming, and immediately you know that Dr. Kristina is one of those people who genuinely listens to your concerns and cares about your well-being without trying to rush you through the door. My first actual visit was a comprehensive analysis of not only my jaw, but also of my air passages, head/neck rotation, posture, balance, neurological strength, etc. The technology (CBCT scan and 3D imaging) is state-of-the-art, and Dr. Kristina does a wonderful job of explaining the strategy to get you back on track. Follow-up visits are equally thorough, and Dr. Kristina takes the time to adjust the treatment plan as needed based on your feedback. The treatment and oral appliance Dr. Kristina prescribed has helped my sleep and jaw pain immensely, and by that I mean I have NO jaw pain, I consistently sleep through the night, and I wake up feeling rested and ready to tackle the day. In my particular case, the treatment also has alleviated the stress and strain in my neck, which has remedied my dizzy spells as well. I am so incredibly grateful to Dr. Kristina for helping me get through this difficult time in my life. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
