A native of Northwest Indiana, Dr. McGue returned to this area after dental school to practice because he regards Northwest Indiana and the Indiana Dunes asthe best place to live and raise children in the Midwest.
Since graduating from dental school, Dr. McGue has been very active taking dental continuing education courses. He has accumulated more than 1,000 hours of dental education after completing dental school. In 2001, he received the prestigious Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry by accumulating 600 hours of continuing education and passing a rigorous written examination that covered all areas of dentistry. During the course of their careers, fewer than five percent of the dentists in the United States have ever been awarded this honor.

Susan is a Chesterton High School graduate. She received a Bachelor of Science (1986) and a Master of Science in education (1988) from Purdue University. Susan joined the McGue Dental team in 1988 when she married Brian. Susan and Brian lived in Indianapolis while he went to dental school. Upon graduation, the couple returned to the Chesterton area. In the spring of 1998, they opened McGue Dental. Her favorite part of working at the office has been keeping up with all the changing technology and being part of a small town.
Gwyn is a Chesterton High School graduate and attended Indiana University Bloomington. She started with McGue Dental in 1998 as a patient. She joined the team at McGue Dental formally in 2002 as patient insurance coordinator and worked her way up at the front desk where she loves the challenge of getting insurance companies to pay for services. When Gwyn is not at the front desk, she can be found camping or enjoying with her grandkids. Gwyns favorite part of working in the dental field has been watching the patients grow up over the years. One minute you cant see them over the counter and the next they are driving in by themselves, getting married, and having their own children.
Michelle is a Chesterton native who graduated from Chesterton High School. She started in the dental field right out of high school in 1975. Michelle joined the McGue Dental team in the spring of 2002, working in the front as our scheduling coordinator. Outside of the office, Michelle enjoys pitching horseshoes, and hanging out with her friends and family. Michelles favorite thing about working in the dental field is getting to see our great patients.
Crystal received her hygiene certificate from Indiana University Northwest in 2014. She began working at McGue Dental in April 2015 while completing her Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene from IUN in 2016. Crystal has also worked in the clinics at IUN helping the hygiene classes. When she is not at work, Crystal enjoys golf, softball, bowling, and her kids. Crystals favorite thing at the office is when patients say they floss and they actually do!
Debbie received her dental assisting certificate from Indiana University. She began her career working in Indianapolis at the Indiana University School of Dentistry before moving to NW Indiana. Debbie received her extended functions certificate in 1991. Debbie joined McGue Dental on the day the practice opened in June 1998. When Debbie is not assisting in the office she enjoys being with her children and grandchildren and can be found helping out around her church. Debbies favorite part of working in the dental field is helping to create beautiful smiles and seeing how happy patients are with their new smiles.
Kelly is a Northwest Indiana native who began her dental career as a dental assistant is 1995. She received her hygiene certificate from Indiana University Northwest in 1999. Kelly has been a hygienist for nearly two decades, and she began working at McGue Dental in July 2017. When Kelly is not cleaning teeth, she loves being involved in her kids activities and spending time with her dogs. Kellys favorite thing about working in the dental field is when she makes patients feel comfortable with their dental treatment.
Karla received her dental assisting certificate in 2014 from Indiana University Northwest. In 2015, she earned her coronal polishing and fluoride certificate from the same institution. Karla joined the McGue Dental team in October 2016. She loves being a part of a team that is making a difference in peoples lives.

Since completing dental school, Dr. McGue has pursued numerous continuing education and training opportunities. In addition to keeping up with the latest advances in general dentistry, he has studied implantology, restorative techniques, and orthodontics. He also stays abreast of new technological innovations that improve diagnostics, treatment planning, procedures, and results.
As he studies, foremost in his thoughts is whetherthe technology, material, or process will improve the care he provides. Because Dr. McGue feels each patient is part of his family, he only incorporates new options that hed feel comfortable using with his loved ones.
