Amber joined McGann Family Dental in January of 2018. Before becoming a dental hygienist, she was a dental assistant and has been in the dental field since 2009. Amber has worked in a variety of specialties, including oral surgery, endodontics and general dentistry. As a child, Amber loved going to see her dental hygienist and hopes she can have the same impression with you. I love being a hygienist. My goal for you is to provide you the best possible care in a caring and gentle manner. I want you to feel comfortable and will strive to help you achieve and maintain a healthy mouth.
Amber has always had a passion for education and leadership. While completing her dental hygiene degree at Century College, Amber had the opportunity to serve as the secretary of the Dental Hygiene Community Club. When she was in the dental assisting program at Dakota County Technical College, Amber served as a member on the Dental Assistant Club and was also a member of Phi Theta Kappa, an honor society. In the Spring of 2020, Amber graduated from Metro State University with her degree of Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene.
Amber also enjoys volunteering. Whether helping out at organizations like Give Kids a Smile, delivering oral health presentations at local elementary schools, or volunteering at Hope dental clinic in St. Paul, Amber loves giving back to the community.
Being a native to the east metro suburbs, Amber is excited to serve the community in which she grew up. Her husband and her currently live in Woodbury with their four children and dog. She enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, reading, and doing arts and crafts.

Dr Patrick McGann did two implantants for teeth number 30 and 31 on my (bottom right hand side). There was no pain during and after the procedure when the novocaine wore off. Two weeks have past and there was no infection and excellent healing. I am looking forward to receiving the abutments and crowns in 3-4 months after the implants. Easy to get there and plenty of parking.

I've been coming here for over a year and have really appreciated this office. The staff is friendly and accommodating, they are thorough and not pushy and appointments are much more accessible than other places I've been.

Front desk staff person was very friendly, the dental hygienist was superb and they responded to my cap falling off the very same day despite my being only scheduled for a cleaning.

A chipped front tooth looked terrible. Dr. McGann got me in for a repair within two days and the repair looks perfect. Jean the assistant was kind and explained everything including instructions. Dr. McGann has been my dentist for several years. I always leave happy and grateful.

As a new resident of Lake Elmo, I found this small dental practice through a mailed introduction. The professionals I've encountered at McGann Family Dental are focused on delivering excellent, friendly customer service. They take the time to learn about new patients and follow-up with a thorough written report after a first appointment; they also do a fine job of educating and explaining. And I find their periodic e-mail newsletter very informative. Dr. McCann is the quietest member of the team. I have learned he donates his time and skills to help those suffering poverty, homelessness or addiction, at a St. Paul shelter while they try to reclaim their lives, which is a reflection of his values.
